➤ Character
Name: Zhongli (Morax)
Canon: Genshin Impact
Canon Point: Post Chapter 1 Act 3 + After Historia Antiqua Act 1: Sal Flore + Upcycle CRAU
Age: Appears 30-35, physically 6000+

History:
Wiki links are as below. However, the Timeline document summarizes every bit of lore available, so it can get quite wordy. For a more concise read, I have compiled Zhongli's involvement in a page on my journal here.

Timeline
♦ Main Story Chapter 1 Act 1 | Act 2 | Act 3
♦ Character Page for Morax and Zhongli
♦ Historia Antiqua Act I: Sal Flore

He spent a little over one month in Upcycle, a DWRP game set on a foggy island named South Sister. He came to realize the presence of other worlds, and learned a lot about other PCs backgrounds and how he should be more open-minded when it comes to investigating a foreign setting. He also became more guarded while outside of his world, as his peace of mind stems from knowing that his nation is faring well. However, his time there was too short to enact any further changes to his mindset.

Personality:

Strengths
Determination. His tenacity is what lets him recover from the myriads of setbacks and losses in his six-thousand-year life and continue moving forward. His clarity of mind and willpower to pursue what needs to be done, and complete monumental tasks such as building a city and eradicating the tentacled version of plague rats.

Pragmatism. His long life lends him great experience and the ability to devise an optimal course of action when handling crises. He is able to disregard his emotions when making decisions and prevent himself from making rash decisions. Liyue prospered under Morax's leadership for 3700 years, and his pragmatism set the foundation during its early years.

Dedication. When he embarks on a task, he always gives his 100% effort and not one bit less. He won't cut corners on his work, and holds himself to very exacting standards. When his duties were handed off to the seven Qixing, they each had difficulty juggling the additional duties despite only receiving one-seventh of the total, suggesting that the burden of administration carried by Morax was far greater than they had envisioned.

Fair. Morax was respected by the people despite his cold reputation during the Archon Wars, because his judgements were always in adherence to justice, and he protected humans who would otherwise be taken advantage of by other gods or foul beasts. This is maintained in his persona as Zhongli. He places great importance on obeying contracts, because they are intended to preserve fairness in the exchange.

Weaknesses
Exacting. Just as how Zhongli expects himself to do the utmost best, he also expects the same from others. He does not get along well with people who have a lazier outlook on life. When he does anything for leisure, the things that he buys are also very expensive, because it is natural to him that he receives the best of anything in exchange for his service.

Blind to money. Morax is the creator of Mora, the currency circulating throughout Teyvat. As a result, money has very little value to him, because he is capable of simply making it. This conflicts with his intent to disguise himself as a human, because he expects himself to be able to pay for anything with his abilities... except he can't. This has landed him in many sticky situations and built up his reputation of always making others pay for him.

Nostalgic. He has a very good memory, and events that took place millennia in the past are still fresh in his mind. He's more attached to the past, when more of his friends were alive and he built the world alongside them. As time passed, many of the people he knew died, and he became more and more lonely. He is capable of becoming quite melancholic when he delves too deeply into his memories, and rarely speaks about his thoughts and feelings to others.

Distant. Zhongli is still a god underneath his human mantle. He thinks and operates on a very different timescale from humans, and doesn't easily put emotional trust in them as they will fade away in the end. While he is able to conduct working relationships with most humans, it takes a lot to get past his preconception that friendships with mortals will end before they can achieve anything meaningful. Conversely, people who have already lived for very long will find him more personable.

Greatest Motivation
Zhongli wishes for the people around him to live a peaceful (and hopefully prosperous) life. This stems from his divine duties as Morax to guide humanity and his nation. His strong adherence to justice and millennia spent fighting in the Archon War has impressed on him the value of peace and the weight of suffering. When conflicts arise, he is motivated to resolve them - peacefully if possible, and by force if not.

Mundane Interests
When not working, he enjoys drinking tea, taking walks in Liyue, and collecting things that catch his eye.

New Situations
He is very analytical, and his first response would be to gather as much information about the situation as possible so he can deduce how to solve any immediate problems. He would also try to gather allies in case the conflict becomes too big for him to resolve by himself. Learning about others' capabilities and forging a positive relationship with them would let him call on their help when he needs to.

Abilities:
Part of the immense power of each Archon is sourced from an item called a Gnosis that allows them to tap into the power of the Sky Realm, Celestia. As of the events of Chapter 1 Act 3, he has wilfully relinquished his Gnosis. However, even without the Gnosis, he still possesses some abilities granted to him by his species and his age.

♦ Morax is one of the Adepti - supernatural beings characterized by their powerful magic and acute magical senses. Adepti are not invincible and can be slain in battle, but they do not age and can live thousands of years away from conflict. They can also change their physical appearance at will, and take on various forms such as animals, humans, and even objects. Zhongli (as Morax) has taken on various human appearances, and also appears as a large dragon at the Rite of Descension. No matter what form he takes, his eye colour remains the same; described as a bright amber.

♦ The Adepti invented three secret arts: Danding (Alchemy), Fulu (Sigils), and Waijing (Sub-Space Creation). The game states that 'With Fulu (Sigils), the adepti can store their power in the form of symbols, and with Waijing (Sub-Space Creation) they can fashion a cosmic paradise with the power of their minds. Using Danding, they can create various elixirs which are able to grant weapons transcendent powers.' Morax is acknowledged as the Prime of the Adepti, and he possesses knowledge of such matters - though practical usage of these secret arts require specific materials.

♦ Zhongli's ingame kit has shown him summoning rock pillars, conjuring energy spears both to wield and throw, calling down a meteor from the sky, and temporarily turn living things to stone. His powers come from the earth, so as long as he is on firm ground, he is able to create constructs.

♦ He is also a very good miner... there is an actual game mechanic that allows him to quickly extract metals and ores from surrounding rock.

♦ While not available to the player, he is also able to directly control rocks and metals, kind of like Earthbending from Avatar. Morax was able to rewrite the entire landscape of Liyue and summon an archipelago's worth of stone spears without the use of a Gnosis during the Archon War. As Zhongli, he makes the conscious choice to not display such feats of strength to preserve his disguise.

♦ Like all Teyvat residents who are capable of controlling elements, he possesses Elemental Sight, which is a sixth sense that allows him to detect the elemental affinity of his surroundings and visualize strong sources of elemental energy. As the embodiment of the Geo element, he would be able to sense vibrations through the ground as long as he is standing on it and use it to deduce the movement of others.

♦ Zhongli has also shown various miscellaneous abilities that fall under the umbrella of 'generic godly powers' such as short distance teleportation, telekinesis, conjuring an orange aura around him, exerting palpable 'psychic pressure' should the need arise, etc.

♦ He is an experienced warrior in both the magical arts and use of weaponry. In his human form, he is most proficient with the spear. He can be ruthless and decisive if the situation calls for it, adapting his style to accommodate the presence of companions.

♦ As a combatant, his strongest asset is his very high defense and endurance. Trying to hurt him is like punching a rock wall. Of course, he does have his limits, but he would most likely play the role of tank or melee DPS in a group.

♦ He is able to heal, though not so much as to knit together serious injuries or save people from the brink of death.

♦ Zhongli is extremely knowledgeable in all things about his nation, including its history, geography, traditions, medicine, literature... the list goes on. While he does not advertise it, his eclectic knowledge and thousands of years of experience give him skill in many trades (herbal medicine, jewelry-making, textiles, smithing, etc).

♦ The above is only achievable because he is able to remember everything he has experienced in great detail.

♦ If he so chooses to, he is able to suppress his divine presence and strength to appear as an ordinary human both physically and with regards to magical senses. His disguise is good enough to prevent long-time allies from recognizing who he is, even when he was still holding his Gnosis. Though, he has stated that he can return to his full power if he deemed it necessary.

♦ He is also able to identify ingredients in food and perfume with uncanny precision.

Inventory: A single Mora coin.

➤ Character
Name: Anastasia Fabre
Canon: Original
Canon Point: After discovering the origins of Ran's spear + Upcycle CRAU
Age: 24

History: Character History.
CRAU History
✦ Anastasia also spent a couple of months in Upcycle, a game based on a foggy island known as South Sister. While her time there was short, it did allow her chances to branch out to others, though she never became particularly close to anyone. There is a more of a willingness to become closer to others, however. One encounter also lessened her vindictive nature towards gods, but she's still more likely to brandish her weapon at them than anything else.

Personality:
Strengths
Driven: When she has her mind set on a goal, she doesn't hesitate to do anything to achieve it. Even if the task is something difficult, she'll always preserve and make sure to give her all to it as well. This can extend from wanting to kill a god to something as simple as learning something new, no task is too big or too small for complete dedication.

Optimistic: She is very much someone who's cheerful and always aims to look on the brighter side, despite how roughly she may speak sometimes. It's hard for her to be upset and depressed, and any setbacks will only just encourage her to try even harder. It's this optimism that helps her through fighting Titans and recent revelations with the Grigori, certain that things will be fine in the end.

Open-minded: Due to her history, Anastasia tends to be very accepting of others with darker or murky pasts. She was accepted by her friends and former partner despite what she did, so she wants to be able to extend that to others. While she's not the kindest person, she'll only ever judge someone based on her present impressions of them. Unless they're a God, of course.

Loyal: When it comes to those she cares about, Anastasia is incredibly loyal. She doesn't hesitate to aid them in anyway, and is always willing to protect them or fight by their side. Her loyalty is practically unshakable as well, and once she's fond of someone, she will do anything she can to assist them.

Weaknesses
Amoral: Morality is a shaky issue for Anastasia, with her morals mostly based on the values and thoughts of her two dear friends. Otherwise she's far more concerned with her immediate interests, uncaring of how things she does can affect others; for example, she plans to kill a widely worshipped deity, uncaring of the repressions this may have on their worshippers. As long as she gets what she wants, she doesn't really care about the actions she has to take.

Obstinate: While she's loyal and listens to her friends, this isn't something she extends to others. It's rare for Anastasia to really heed the words of others, and if it goes against what she currently wants, she's unlikely to listen. She can be very set in her ways and won't hesitate to bulldoze over others, ignoring their opinions in the process. If you're not important to her, she won't really care about what you have to say.

Emotional: Anastasia is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve, but this also means she's quick to make highly reckless or dangerous decisions. Her emotions tend to overrule any logical decisions, and she's very much driven by them - especially since her current motivator is the hatred she has for her father and their creator. This makes her unpredictable and chaotic, especially considering her tendency to only listen to her friends.

Violent: When confronted with an obstacle or issue, Anastasia's first solution would be to use violence to solve it. She has been raised as a weapon, and so it's something she's comfortable she's with, almost too much so. She also happily fights if given the chance, and may at times escalate situations so that a fight will break out. It's something she revels in, and she has no desire to pursue any peaceful routes unless it's something her friends or loved ones request.

Greatest Motivation
Her greatest, at least outward, motivation is to kill her father and their god - having decided to devote her life to this after the death of her mother. It both stems from anger over what happened to her mother, and also outrage over how she and her siblings are experiments; wishing to put an end to her father causing more suffering. Inwardly, she desires a place to belong. But considering how her end goal may result in her death, it's not something she wants to acknowledge.

Mundane Interests
Anastasia very much enjoys making clothes, enough so that she has her own budding brand. She also greatly enjoys learning new things, especially anything science related, and attempting to learn the guitar.

New Situations
Anastasia is very curious, so her immediate approach to a new situation is to explore as much as possible. She also wouldn't hesitate to speak to others, trying to learn more of the situation and also just the general scope of what's going on. And of course if there's any enemies, she will immediately attempt to fight them, mostly to gauge their strength and what they are.

Abilities:
Anastasia is a half-angel, known in her world as a 'nephilim' (angel father, human mother). This grants her a number of abilities that a normal human wouldn't possess, such as;
✦ Enhanced Physiology: Far, far strong and faster than a normal human. Her wings are able to grant her bursts of speed, and a punch from Anastasia can easily shatter and splinter solid rock, or crumple steel and iron. Also takes her longer to get tired, and is able to take hits that would usually kill humans with little issue. Also has some regeneration, though more serious wounds will take time to recover from. And her regen means she can't be poisoned, drugged or get drunk despite her best attempts.
✦ Tainted Holy Magic: As a nephilim, she would have similar holy abilities as angels - holy magic, exorcising unholy entities and conducting blessings (miracles such as healing, making an item holy). However, as she has rebelled, her magic is tainted - she instead harms holy beings with her magic, has the ability to repel all no matter their alignment and her 'blessings' would instead cause injuries, curse items for bad luck, or make things toxic. She can also 'leech' off dark/tainted/bad in general magic or energies - basically absorbing it to empower her, so she can technically exorcise something but rather than blessing it she takes the power into herself.
✦ Flight: Her wings enable her to fly until she tires out, which takes a while due to her stamina. Also has very fluffy and soft feathers.
✦ Sensing: Anastasia is able to sense if someone is human or not/has supernatural or magical properties, though her powers are more specific in regards to beings considered 'holy' or 'unholy'. If someone possesses magic, she would be able to sense that but not what they are exactly, but she can easily pick up on other angels or demons.
✦ Angelic Form: A form where her angel bloodline comes to the forefront. While it's a very sparkly and pretty form, she is much more deadly - she moves faster, and hits much harder. Her 'holy' magic is far more potent, able to create a toxic miasma and create large shields that can block strong magic. Her voice will also become odd and distorted, sounding as if it's coming from a static-ridden radio.
✦ Angelic Weapon "Rosarium": A gold staff covered in bloodstains and thorns. Was once a holy weapon, until Anastasia rebelled - now the thorns will attack anyone that Anastasia commands it to, and are capable of draining energy/blood from its victims.

Her training under her mother also means that Anastasia is a very skilled fighter, proficient in a number of weapons and knows how to defend herself against a variety of entities. Anastasia is very much the tank of her friends, and has little issue with fighting dirty if it grants her the upper-hand.

Also highly skilled with a needle and thread, thanks to her occupation as a clothing designer with a relatively popular brand. Is also multi-lingual, being fluent in French, English, Russian, German, Latin and Angelic - just don't ask her to write in anything besides French and English though, her writing is awful.

Inventory:
The clothes on her back and Rosarium, her weapon which is now a part of her (which she now can't summon oops).
Also has her backpack containing:
A (now useless) mobile phone, a mini make-up kit with brushes and face wipes, another change of clothes (jacket and pants), random fabric scraps and samples, a sketchbook with some of her designs.

Vision: Pyro
Reason: Anastasia is incredibly devoted to her goal, enough so that the threat of losing her life to achieve it doesn't phase her, and is also very attuned to violence. Her goal involves the death of people she hates, and she also thrives in battle in general as that's where she's most comfortable.
Role: Full on offensive tank.
Constellation: The Rose Garden.

➤ Character
Name: Tio Plato
Canon: Trails Series
Canon Point: Post CS3
Age: 16

History: Here!

Personality:
Strengths

>>Resilience<<
Tio, is above everything else, resilient. When she was a child, she was kidnapped by the cult, and used for human experimentation. Even after the lodge she was being kept at was raided, she was the only survivor, supposedly being the only child at the time that could handle the mental load of the tests. At no point did she give up. After she returned home, realizing that things with her family would never be the same, she decided to carve her own path forward.

>>Intelligence<<
She is also extremely intelligent. When she ran away from home, she joined the Epstein foundation, a major scientific research organization her world. Throughout both Crossbell games (as well as her appearances in Cold Steel 3 and 4) she's shown to have a natural knack for dealing with technology. Part of it is due to her Aeon System, and the other part is thanks to her hard work. She understands how to set up and use computers (at least, the closest equivalent that her world has), and at several points in canon she's shown preventing hacking attempts on important networks.

>>Hardworking<<
Intelligence doesn't mean much on it's own, however, and one of Tio's other strengths is that she's hardworking. She was fourteen when she was assigned to the SSS, and despite being warned multiple times (and by many people) about how awful it would be to work for the brigade, she chose to stay on anyway. This is also apparent when the group chooses to walk to Armorica village; she's not accustomed to walking and it's clear it takes it's toll on her, but she chooses to press on instead of asking the group for a break.

>>Calm and Collected<<
Tio is calm and collected under pressure. When things go wrong, Tio doesn't panic. She's able to work through possible solutions logically, and doesn't let her emotions sway her into making poor split-second decisions.

Weaknesses

>>Communication<<
Tio struggles with communication (in a personal sense, not a mechanical sense), especially if it involves communicating worries or struggles. During one point in Zero, Tio admits that she's felt lost in life, with no clear goal, but she was afraid to say anything. She's also shown being very sensitive about her 'power.' The experiments left her with an above-average sense of hearing, allowing her to pick up on sounds others aren't able to hear. At first, she was afraid to talk about this--fearing that the others wouldn't take her seriously.

>>Emotions<<
A lot of her trouble communicating stems from repressing her struggles and emotions. She doesn't always express her concerns to others because she's often unaware of them herself (such as when she collapses during the Gnosis investigation). She also has a tendency to hide parts of her past or not bring up relevant information; she doesn't mention that Lloyd's brother, Guy, was the one who saved her from the lodge until they've worked together for at least a month. She also doesn't mention to the SSS that the same hospital they're investigating was the one she was once a patient at; the only reason the party finds out is because a nurse recognizes her and brings it up. When she does show emotions, they're often muted.

>>Childish<<

Tio is fine with most things, but if she has one pet peeve, it's people treating her like a child. Even though she is actually a child (she joins the SSS at 14), she has a wealth of experience, and she doesn't like being babied or doted on. This is apparent at several points in canon, where the other SSS members try to offer to do something to make it easier for Tio, but she rebukes them, asking them to treat her with the same amount of respect as the rest of the brigade.

Greatest Motivation

Tio struggled a lot with understanding her own motivation after being rescued from the lodge. She often wondered why she was the only one still alive, when all of the others that had been with her died.

To that end, Tio's motivation at the beginning of the game is to find that meaning herself. She doesn't know exactly what it is that she wants. Even though she returned home, that didn't help--she was still treated differently by her parents due to her enhanced senses and new powers.

By the end of Zero and Ao, her motivation has shifted. She hasn't found the meaning she's looking for exactly, although she's gotten closer. But her friends in the SSS and the city of Crossbell have become very important to her. After everything she's been through, it's the first place that felt like home. To that end, her motivation is to help protect and liberate Crossbell, and to reunite with her friends.

Mundane/Trivial Interests
As noted before, Tio is very skilled at computers. She enjoys playing with them in her free time, and as much as her world as video games, she would probably be considered a 'gamer' to some extent. She spends her free time browsing the Orbal Web, as well as playing a game called Pomtto!.

Tio's absolute favorite thing, however, is the mascot character Mishy. Tio knows everything about Mishy. Tio collects Mishy merchandise. When Lloyd has to don the Mishy mascot costume for a Mishy, Tio takes the counterpart costume, and helps to feed him lines and act the part. To Tio, Mishy is love. Mishy is life.

Interacting with Others
Tio is likely to interact with others in a new environment similarly to how she initially acted with the SSS. She can come off as cold and distant, although that's partially because she's analyzing the situation, and partially because she still struggles with communicating with others. Eventually, after working together, Tio is likely to become a little bit more forward, although she's still pretty quiet.

When she speaks, she's also very straightforward. She's not afraid to call an idiot an idiot, or question a party member's questionable actions (see: Anything that comes out of Randy's mouth). When she gets close to someone, she also has a tendency to be dry and sarcastic. When waking Lloyd up one morning, she asks if he would prefer to be woken up with a "Good morning, master~! <3" or a "I'm going to kick my lazy brother out of bed." Both comments are very dry sarcasm, and it shows.

Abilities:
>>Aeon System<<
Because of the experiments, Tio has access to an "Aeon System." It allows her to increase the potency on her magic attacks, as well as increase the range of her scanning abilities.

>>Enhanced Hearing:<<
Tio has enhanced hearing, allowing her to hear things that many people may miss. She can hear things from further away, and increase the range even more with her Aeon system.

>>Wolf-Speaking<<
Tio has the ability to speak to wolves. It is unclear whether this applies to all wolves, or only divine wolves. It is unclear if this applies to other animals.

>>Orbal Arts<<
When she has her orbament equipped, she has access to orbal arts. These are similar to spells one might see in Genshin Impact; the spells are typically elementally aspected (fire, earth, water, air) with three additional elements (space, time, mirage). Although there's a large degree of customization in the game (thus, Tio can learn any spell, essentially) her basic kit is balanced towards attack magic.

Inventory:
>> Clothing
>> Headband (This is her Aeon system unit, but I would like to keep it on her with the powers stripped. It's cute).
>> Mishy Keychain
>> Orbament (A Cell-Phone Like device that users can plug elemental quartz into to give them access to spells and powers. Initially, this will be useless, but it's a reminder of back home).
>> Photograph of the SSS.

Vision: Hydro
Reason: If she was taken before the beginning of Zero, I believe that Cryo would be the best fit. However, Tio was shaped in many ways by her time with the SSS. Before meeting the SSS, she didn't feel like she had a goal, other than finding a meaning in something. Now that she's grown closer to the SSS (and to Crossbell as a whole), she wants to protect it.

Additionally, while she can wield any element in her canon, she's most often-depicted being water or ice-aligned.
Role: Tio is a caster, specializing in magic (and not physical attacks).
In canon, she wields an orbal staff, that allows her to channel powerful arts. While she can use a variety of magic, her arts and crafts most typically lean towards attack magic making her more of a black mage than a white mage.
Constellation: ...Can her constellation be Mishy?

➤ Character
Name: Jun Kohinata aka "white Shroud" aka "Orden"
Canon: Tokyo Xanadu eX+
Canon Point: Post After Story + Upcycle memories
Age: 16 in canon, 17 with CRAU

History: Tokyo Xanadu's wiki is awful, so I wrote a history here that gives the broad strokes.

Regarding player choices, I'm going on the assumption that Kou attended all of Jun's bonding events throughout the game, as well as did any side quests/minigames that were relevant to Jun (the student film, blade, the crystal shards, etc). I'm going to be vague of who Kou spent time with during the Autumn festival, since the only difference it'd make to Jun is stuff that really wouldn't be relevant to non-castmates anyway.

As for his time in Upcycle, he arrived in September and spent about 3 months there. He made some friends, worked with some fellow holy folks, and also did what he could to help against the dangers. The biggest change for him was the fact that he had more exposure to interacting to different types of people, as well as managed to form some close bonds with others. Basically he learned a bit more about his emotions and how to handle them. Also, watched a lot of anime. A lot.

Personality:
Strengths
Pragmatism. Jun is very pragmatic and level headed for his age. In his friends group, he tends to be the voice of reason. His approach to his missions tends to be the same way, he tends to use logical approaches when thinking out plans.

Kindness. When his own personality began to grow, one of the first traits he began to exhibit was an extreme level of kindness. He's the kind of guy that'll go out of his way to help a stranger, or go above and beyond when he does a thoughtful thing. A perfect example is when he got out the unconscious XRC out of a dangerous location. While it would've been enough to just them to a safe location, he took it a step further and made sure they'd be near people important to them and that they slept in comfortable positions so they wouldn't wake up sore.

Adaptability. Jun is extremely adaptable. Going from living in a strict convent setting to the life of a modern Japanese teenager would be a huge culture shock to anyone, but he's able to navigate it surprisingly well. He approaches new situations with an open mind, recognizing the new experiences as a chance to grow and learn more about himself.

Selflessness. One of the hallmark traits of a Seal Knight is their selflessness. Jun has no real ego when it comes to his work. His only sense of pride stems from his mission getting completed at all - not how it gets completed. If someone is emotionally invested in helping, he'll make sure they get that chance whether it be by taking a backseat role, or by arguing for their involvement to unwilling people. Despite being stronger and more experienced than most of the XRC, he treats all of them as equals when working with them - even going out of his way to encourage the newest and weakest member that they're doing well.

Weaknesses:
Apathy. Having been raised to only care about completing his missions, Jun can sometimes have a very narrow scope of what he cares about- and will dismiss anything that falls outside of that. Ironically this actually hurts his effectiveness as a knight, as his apathy will lead him to not follow-up on clues he really should dig deeper into (like when he choose to ignore the early signs that the Twilight Apostle was back). This has improved a little since he moved to Morimiya, but there's still many times where he'll react to a situation with apathy.

Secrecy. Seal Knights are highly secretive, with most things about them being a mystery even to other members of the Underground. As such, Jun tends to be rather evasive with personal information either by dodging the question, lying, or straight-out refusing to answer. This trait tends to make him come off as more suspicious and stand-offish than he actually intends. At his canon point he's trying to work on this, but well, results have been mixed so far.

Low Emotional Intelligence. While he's made some improvement on this, Jun struggles with fully grasping many emotions thanks to the emotionally repressive environment he grew up in. There are many emotions that he only feels mildly or not at all. This can make him unintentionally callous at times, or struggle with certain social situations that require emotional knowledge. And when he does feel a certain strong emotional impulse, he can also lacks the emotional intelligence to know the normal way to express it- leading him to take it a little far. Luckily he does understand morality and laws, so this tends to be less him committing crimes and more just acting like a weirdo.

Selflessness. Jun's selflessness is a double edged sword. While it spurs the positive qualities listed above, it also fuels a more negative side. Jun has no real sense of self-worth. He throws himself into dangerous situations with no regard to his own safety and the feelings of those who care about him. When he's injured, he doesn't seem to grasp why it'd made his friends upset even after he healed. He is extremely hard on himself for past actions, believing himself to be a terrible person not worthy of love and affection.

Greatest Motivations
Jun's greatest goal is to seal the Eclipse and protect the world from evil. His motivations have changed since his time in Morimiya. Originally his main motivation had been out of duty as a Seal Knight. However, as he grew attached to his life in Morimiya, his motivations shifted to do his work in order to protect those he cares about.

Mundane Interests
Jun loves anime, video games, and other nerdy stuff. He has a strong appreciation for art, though he's not so much "cultured" in the art world as he just likes looking at pretty things. He also seems to have an interest in cooking, as he's the second best cook in the game (the first best being a guy who works at a restaurant). Finally, he enjoys reading and sharing creepy stories with his friends, an activity Kou describes as Jun being "sadistic". Which yeah, he's not wrong about that.

New Situations
Jun is highly adaptive and pragmatic, so Jun's initial response would be to gather information to assess the situation. While interacting with others, he'll likely try to learn as much as he can, though he might hold back on sharing his own knowledge. He'd be open to working with others if they seem useful, though he wouldn't waste much time on anyone that seems overly difficult. Ultimately, his main goal would be completing what he needs to do in order to return home, whatever that may be.

That said, losing all his Seal Knight abilities and being given a Vision instead will probably shake him up a lot. It's like waking up and discovering your lovely spouse has been replaced. Not cool man.

Powers:
As a Seal Knight, Jun is essentially a living weapon. Among the Underground in the world, Seal Knights are considered the most powerful of the anti-Eclipse combatants. Jun is no exception to the rule, as he's shown able to single-handedly take down Greed strong enough to normally require entire teams of regular wielders. The methods to how they obtained this level of power is shrouded in mystery, though they claim they were acknowledged by God. Until canon says otherwise, I'm going to take this claim at face value.

His abilities are as followed:

Holy Sword: He can summon a giant holy sword, called Alka Regus, at will. Notably he can summon this sword even outside Eclipses (unlike other Soul Devices), and he says only Sealed are capable of wielding it.

Shroud: He can change into his Seal Knight uniform at will like a very prudish magical girl. The hood is enchanted to obscure his voice when it's up, though it'll malfunction if he's badly injured. The fabric is enchanted with light magic to further protect its wearer and probably repair itself considering it was still wearable after he was impaled.

Light Magic: In fights he uses powerful light-elemental magic to obliterate opponents. This includes a range of skills, but most notably is his ability to make HOLY RAIN OF DEATH.

Light Arrows/Bow: He can create shoot up to six normal sized light-arrows at once to fire at opponents, or one giant-sized one depending on his needs. He can also create a bow out of light big enough to use his sword as an arrow.

Teleportation: He can use magic to teleport himself and others. This only seems to work in the real world unless he takes the time to create a portal. It won't work for any areas that aren't allowed for plot reasons and he avoids using it in places he's never been since teleporting himself into a wall would suck.

Magic: He can cast various spells such as creating a fake sleeping version of himself, binding spells, tracking spells, a voice distortion spell - basically a bunch of random spells that would be handy for his line of work and/or plot convenient.

Regeneration: He can heal quickly from injuries, even fatal ones. He can heal up from being impaled in about 2 days- 1 day if he has the chance to relax and completely focus on healing. Smaller injuries will take a few hours, depending on the severity.

Enhanced abilities: Strength, speed, endurance, dexterity. He can parkour like no other and also wield a giant sword with one hand despite being tiny.

Enhanced Senses: He can pick up on presences of others, and whether or not they are hostile. He can also sense different types of magical/spiritual energies well enough to distinguish between them - even more so than other Underground people.

Fighting Abilities: He spent his whole life being trained to fight monsters so yeah he can throw punches. He is most proficient in swords and bows, but he can probably make do with what he has.

Seal: He has a seal mark on his arm that'll glow when activated. Mostly this is used as a form of ID to other Orden members, but should he get injured to the point of life threatening- it'll activate and blow up everything near him with very powerful light magic as a last-ditch effort to protect him.

Inventory:
Holy sword (depowered), seal knight uniform (depowered), a smart phone, a photo album, and a dagger imbued with geo energy that makes it harder and sharper than a normal knife (no idea if this still applies)

Vision: Geo
Reason: Being a Seal Knight requires holding yourself to a strict standard, following through missions to completion no matter how long it takes or what you have to do to accomplish it. However the reason why he's Geo instead of Hydro is his motivations. While he does agree with Kronos Orden's ultimate goal, that's more because he was raised knowing nothing else than a deep seated belief. Once he grows enough to figure out what truly motivates him, it's more personal: to protect his friends and life he finds so precious. This personal motivation is more important to him than the Orden's doctrine, as it leads him to bend the Orden's rules on occasion to achieve it.

Role: Offensive, all the way.
Constellation: The Orden's Cross

➤ Character
Name: Ledah Rozwelli, The Solitary Angel.
Canon: Dept Heaven | Riviera
Canon Point: Post-Chapter six.
Age: Looks like he could be anywhere from 17-19, age unknown.

History: Here.

Personality:

Strengths:

Devoted

When it comes to anything relating to doing anything regarding serving the gods, Ledah is married to the cause, not even holding back in the slightest in his efforts. He's unrelenting to ensure that any mission he's given is carried out, and doesn't dare take short cuts, as he's remained for the most part, rather loyal even when his companion, Ein, wavers (for good reason, mind you.) Though, he's not foolish, because while he does take orders from Hector, when he realizes that the man has turned his back against the gods, Ledah no longer follows the man.

Logical/Rational

For the most part, Ledah is a rather rational individual, able to make observations on the battlefield that will help him and his few allies to plan and fight accordingly. So it's not a surprise that he's the type to think before he acts and he's able to instruct others (such as Ein) very well due to it.

Even-tempered

Ledah can become annoyed or irritated like other people, but it's generally rather difficult to rile him up (unless he's witness to some kind of great evil against the gods or Ein.) Even if someone so happened to insult his loyalty to Hector or some such things, he'd hardly blow his top over it. Because it's so hard for him to lose his cool, it makes it relatively easy for him to think through things carefully in a dire situation.

Determination

Going hand in hand with his ability to remain loyal is Ledah's determination to see his duty through. Even when he's greatly damaged, he won't allow himself to stop, even if it should involve throwing his own self into danger. This could prove to be helpful to ensure in getting the task done or even assist in making sure who or what he desires to be protected is.

Weaknesses:

Obstinate

Though Ledah is in a sense, emotionally stunted, it hasn't render him incapable of being stubborn when the situation calls for it; in essence, it's rather difficult to sway him from following orders. Or even convincing him of anything when he believes he is in the right. The culmination of this being when he even fights Ein due to being that unwilling to be easily swayed.

Cynical

Ledah shows signs of this; such as his willingness to go along with the Retribution despite knowing how much of a danger it'll present to many souls, and he's sure that it's the best way to combat the threat at Riviera at the time. Though it seems partly having to do with him believing such a mission happened to be the will of the gods, him not thinking twice can be evidence of him having a grim outlook on things. Then there is the fact he expresses confusion about Ein not wanting to finish him off when he's defeated, because what would he gain from leaving him alive? Not exactly a positive quality to have when it can close him to considering options outside this sort of mindset.

Cold

Because Ledah lacks the ability to be overtly empathetic and doesn't prioritize acting in a friendly manner, he can come off as this. He also happens to be relatively brusque to the point where it could be considered rude, especially to those who have met him for the first time. This is exemplified by the fact he's more likely to tell someone to 'not get in my way' (as he's said in the beginning point of Riveria) rather than 'be careful' in a dangerous.

Critical

Ledah is capable of judging people, and without emotions holding him back much, he can be liable to make conclusions of people, unfiltered. This can be a weakness due to the fact that he'll see no point in lying, and likely annoy other people. Or it could be a positive since it means he's generally not one to baby someone.

Self-sacrificial

Ledah's loyalty and devotion knows no bounds, what with him willing to fight and put his life on the line for it. He sees no problem in throwing away his life and even expresses confusion when Ein expresses he wouldn't kill him upon his defeat. Even after he fights Ein, Ledah doesn't hesitate to sacrifice himself for his friend, throwing himself in the way when a dangerous enemy tries to kill Ein. Though this shows a care for someone he considered to be a friend, this can also show a lack/disregard of self-worth.

Greatest Motivation

Ledah's greatest motivation is carrying out the gods' will. Simple to the point; whatever order or goal they desire, he will consider it his own. To that end, that would mean the eradication of demons.

Mundane Interests

Ledah has hardly any, prioritizing his duty above holding much interest in matters like this that he'd consider trivial. However, he would most likely find an interesting to reading books...

New Situations

Ledah would observe and make deductions regarding his current predicament before trying to figure out his role in this. As well as how he could still serve in the same/similar role he had before (in essence, taking action in such a way that he'd consider himself as fulfilling the will of the gods), and then go from there.

Powers:

Ledah has an innate and strong resistance to fire and holy (light) attacks, with fire being outright ineffective to him, and holy (light) attacks being something he can shrug off with ease. He even has a rather sturdy defense against physical hits. However, he is actually rather vulnerable to ice attacks/ice magic...

Also, despite the way he looks, he can throw a pretty hard hit if he gets into a fight, even without his magic.

He's able to use basic fire magic, but also special abilities:

Burning Gallery: a traditional fire magic spell. A few pillars of fire come from the ground up after Ledah gives a swing of his weapon.

Crimson Courreges: Six strikes are given with his weapon, with the last being a burst of flame that is cast upon his opponent.

Lost Seraph:

Ledah strikes forward with his Diviner, twice from afar, and then the two follow up strikes are strong fire magic blasted at his enemy.

Angel Awakening:

A state in which Ledah's stats have increased, including physical power, magic power, and resistances. In particular his resistance to holy and ice attacks are notably raised, along with physical ones.

When he awakens, he also gains use of the following skills:

Flame Lance: A strong attack with Lorelei, imbued with fire.

Pandemonium: Much along the same lines, but more powerful.

Rose Kreuz: His strongest attack while awakened; guaranteed to put quite the hurt on as he's delivering blows infused with fire and his spear.

As a note, Ledah's wings aren't just for show. He is shown capable of being able to take flight with them.

Inventory: Lorelei: It's his spear and main method of attack; he carries it with everywhere he goes.

Vision: Fire (Pyro)
Reason: Simple. Ledah is a devoted soldier, a Grim Angel who believes strongly and fiercely in following the will of the gods. Almost nothing can shake him from this.
Role: Offensive (magic + physical)
Constellation: Typical cross, like seen here.

➤ Character
Name: Edward Elric
Canon: Fullmetal Alchemist
Canon Point: Just after being taken by Father alongside Al, Hohenheim, Izumi, and Mustang.
Age: 16

History: Wiki link

Personality:
STRENGTHS
Determination. No one who has ever met Edward Elric could fail to realize he is incredibly determined to complete his goals, whatever they might be. He's unendingly persistent and unwilling to give up no matter what the obstacle. Even on finding out how Philosopher's Stones are made (hint: it's people) Ed isn't willing to surrender his goal of returning his brother to his body once again. He'll just find a way that Isn't That.

Intelligence. Ed is very much a guile hero. He's smart in a way that frequently surprises and astounds people and there isn't much he can't grasp academically - he's very much book smart, but has street smarts to back that up. His failings tend to be more in the people-smarts - Alphonse is way better at social niceties, as are most of his other friends, while Edward sort of says whatever the hell he wants all the time.

Loyalty. Ed would die for anyone he cares about hands down in an instant no questions asked. Sure, he would do it for other people, too, but Edward is very dedicated to the people he cares about. There is nothing he wouldn't do for his brother and Winry and his other friends and family (except maybe drink milk or be Nice) and once he decides he likes someone his faith in them isn't easily shaken. He's ride or die for people.

Kindness. Although Alphonse is WAY more likely to be the Elric brother people think of when they think of kindness, Edward has a soft heart underneath all the gruff. He can't leave people alone when they're in trouble despite himself, and while he can be crotchety about helping out he always ends up helping out in the end...something Alphonse notices and points out to other people, because Alphonse is his elder brother's biggest fan. Ed will say that other people's problems are other people's problems, but in action he will always end up meddling and trying to help out. He's just not good at ignoring people in trouble or pain.

WEAKNESSES
Temper. Easily Edward's most obvious failing is his quick temper. He gets better about it as time goes on, sure, but even by his current canon point he is still very quick to yell and snap to anger, even if it tends to burn out just as quickly as it starts and even if he never actually tries to hurt anyone (aside from the bad guys, generally, or himself occasionally in the self-sacrificing way) when he's upset. He has once or twice fought with Alphonse when upset, but they always figure themselves out pretty quickly indeed.

Pride. His second most obvious failing is pride. Edward is, uh...a little full of himself and his abilities sometimes, even if he can be put in his place pretty easily and quickly and he does respect others and can admit when he's wrong. His pride, in fact, tends to be more of an issue in that he can hold a grudge for a while and won't be willing to backtrack it easily - this shows itself most with Hohenheim and Mustang, who Ed "dislikes" for separate reasons and whom he refuses to admit he doesn't actually entirely hate even though he demonstrably cares about both of them in his own way. He has a hard time copping to things like Feelings.

Self-sacrificing. Not as obvious until you know him, but Edward would 100% throw away life and limb for other people, and that is something he has had beat out of him to certain degrees but it still...persists. He would never sacrifice someone else, but he doesn't place himself very highly in comparison to literally everyone else in the world, which is a problem. His friends and family usually keep him in check, but they aren't here, are they?

Guilt. Despite having heart to hearts about it Ed will pretty much always carry the guilt of convincing Alphonse to try to bring their mother back and costing his little brother his body in the bargain. He also carries the guilt of every other person he has ever failed to save. Edward does not forgive himself easily or often when it comes to those he has lost or thinks he should have been able to save, and carries the weight heavily.

GREATEST MOTIVATIONS
Hands down Edward's greatest motivation in life is getting Alphonse his body back. This is followed by getting his own limbs back, but as in everything else, Al comes first to him.

MUNDANE/TRIVIAL INTERESTS
Honestly, Ed doesn't have a ton of mundane interests he goes into a lot. He's dedicated his entire life to alchemy for a reason and tends to focus there - but he does show genuine curiosity about other things when they get into his line of sight and is willing to learn about just about anything or at least respect other peoples areas of expertise. He doesn't really do "hobbies" beyond alchemy and combat though...I'm sorry he's this way.

SETTING
Edward has a quick temper so he's sure to yell a lot at first, but he's not an idiot and he's very determined. He'll quickly turn his mind to the problem of getting home to Alphonse and the others, regardless of what it takes. He'll also be torn between being frustrated at Teyvat's alchemy and fascinated - it doesn't work like he thinks it should. In terms of how he gets along with other people...as long as someone can handle the hot blooded shounen stuff, he'll get along well enough with them. Edward doesn't hate people or anything.
Abilities:
• First the nerfed superpower. Edward uses alchemy, which is science in his canon but pretty much is akin to magic anywhere else. It allows him to transmute things into other things. Equivalent exchange is the basis of alchemy, so there are rules - but he can do a lot with it and isn't required to use alchemical circles like most other alchemists as he has seen the "Truth" and can make himself into the circle.

• He's a shounen protagonist, so it probably comes as no surprise that Ed is good at combat. He is very much a combat pragmatist and will 100% do whatever is necessary to win - though he draws the line at sacrificing other people (he tries to sacrifice himself sometimes but weirdly none of his friends or family ever let him).

• Then we have the in spite of being a shounen protagonist level of intellect. Ed is hotheaded but he's also frankly a hardworking genius. He's an alchemical prodigy and is able to grasp difficult and new concepts quickly and easily, even doing his yearly research projects at the last minute and skating by. He's a fast learner and applies himself to anything that remotely interests him with passion and dedication.
Inventory: Himself, his clothes, his metal arm and leg...he only really has various knickknacks in his pockets right now. A broken watch, a wallet with useless currency, and a few things for auto mail maintenance. Nothing major, because he's used to being his own weapon.

Vision: Cryo
Reason: I felt like Ed could have fit into several of the elements given the descriptions in the FAQ, but I feel cryo is ultimately the best fit because his story is built around loss and how one deals with and recovers from that. FMA began, for Edward, with the loss of his beloved mother. From there he nearly lost his brother and gave up willingly limbs to tie Alphonse to the world. While there's a lot more to the plot of the manga, for Edward it is very much a journey of coming to terms with what he has lost and finding out what he would be willing to lose - or, rather, surrender - in order to secure his brother's body once again.
Role: Offensive, hands down.
Constellation: The Flamel symbol.

➤ Character
Name: Nam Seonho
Canon: My Country: The New Age
Canon Point: Episode 7 + Upcycle CRAU
Age: 24

History: TW: mentions of suicide

My Country: The New Age takes place during the 1380s-1390s and chronicles the transition between the Goryeo to Joseon periods of Korean history. It features real-life historical figures, but the show mainly focuses on three fictional characters, one of them being Nam Seonho, and their respective stories.

Seonho was born out of wedlock between his aristocrat father (Nam Jeon) and his slave mother, and lived the first few years of his life as a servant in his father’s household. After his older half-brother passed away, Seonho became the new heir of the house (much to his father’s chagrin). As heir, Seonho was forbidden from acknowledging his mother’s existence and from addressing his father as anything other than “my lord”. Unfortunately, Seonho seeks out his mother anyway, who ultimately commits suicide in order to spare him from his father’s punishment. Seonho, traumatized and resentful of his father after the incident, ends up befriending Hwi and his sister Yeon. After their father is framed and executed and their status falls in disgrace, Seonho stubbornly sticks by their side, despite his own father’s disapproval.

Fast forward years later, and Seonho and Hwi are still fast friends despite their differences in status. They end up meeting Hui-jae, a girl raised by gisaengs (courtesans), and form a bond with her as well. Both Seonho and Hwi attempt to register for the national military exam only for Hwi to be rejected on the grounds of his father’s disgraceful death. Seonho convinces Hwi to accompany him on a noble’s hunting retreat, and it is this retreat where Hwi gets permission to take the exam from General Yi Seong Gye. Seonho, Hwi, Hui-jae, and Hwi’s younger sister Yeon all go out to celebrate, only for the night to end with Seonho getting attacked and badly injured.

Seonho takes the exam anyway despite his wounds, and faces off against Hwi in the final round. Unfortunately, due to his own panic-fueled desperation to win and his father’s bribing of the examiner, Seonho unfairly takes first place and Hwi is thrown out. General Yi Seong Gye, after hearing that Nam Jeon rigged the exam, summons Seonho and his father and.... yells at them for getting caught and tells them to clean up their own mess, or he’ll kill them where they stand. (¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Seonho kills the bribed examiner and then makes the fateful decision to betray Hwi (one of the only other people who know Nam Jeon cheated), by sending him off to battlefield in Liaodong. (in the meantime, Seonho attempts to take care of Hwi’s younger sister Yeon, who loses her memory from the shock of losing her brother. He also becomes Hui-jae’s least favorite person in the world for abandoning Hwi).

Seonho goes off to the same war he sent Hwi to with his father and General Yi Seong Gye. The general decides to stage a coup d’etat instead of wage a war no one wants. To that end, he orders Seonho to travel to the frontlines and slaughter their entire advance guard, so that they can retreat under the pretext of fighting a “losing war”. (😬😬😬) Seonho runs into Hwi in the advance guard and gets stabbed in an attempt to save him. (Surprising no one, Seonho has spent 90% of his time regretting his decision to fck over Hwi, which probably explains the dramatics). Hwi hauls his unconscious body all the way back home, only to abandon him out of fury when Seonho lies to him that Yeon, his sister, is dead. (A lie that Nam Jeon forces Seonho to tell by threatening Hwi's life) Seonho rises from the ashes of his own shitty decisions by returning to the newly conquered palace, and helps Yi Seong Gye and his father’s reputations (even though the both of them essentially left him for dead). This earns him a position close to the General, who Seonho decides to side with against Yi Bang Won (Yi Seong Gye’s son).

Under the command of his father, Seonho instructs Hwi to grow close to Yi Bang Won and then assassinate him in exchange for helping keep Yeon safe. In order to achieve that, he works with Hwi to torture and then kill one of Yi Bang Won's associates (seonho did the torturing and hwi did the murdering). Later, he attempts to invade Yi Bang Won's private armory and arrest him for illegal weapons possession.

Upcycle CRAU: Seonho's spent a few months in Upcycle, a panfandom horror game that took place on a island that could manifest desires, for good and ill. More importantly, it was a place that had a diverse group of people (both humans and not) from all sorts of worlds and places. Here, Seonho learned that Panfandoms Are A Thing, in that his previously limited worldview expanded to include: wizards, spirits, non-humans, and gods. He's also learned how inadequate his own abilities are when it comes to subjects like these, which he's taken as an impetus to somehow... improve himself? Like, he might be out of his league here, but he's determined to do something about it. Also, he met people who actually liked him, which both confused and flattered him, and also made him realize that maybe friends... could be possible for someone as terrible as him. don't quote him on that though

Personality:

Strengths:

Kindness: It seems kind of laughable at the idea of kindness being Seonho's strongest virtue, seeing as he's very often blinded by his anger and focused on his hatred, but it's the reason why he's always in so much pain, since his actions usually conflict with his compassionate nature. He's the sort of person who feels deeply for others of low status and wants to see that world change not only for himself, but for everyone ostracized by society. It's his kindness that makes him want to change the world. He doesn't abandon the country that's never valued him, despite having every right to.

Persistence: For someone who's been told "no" his entire life, Seonho has grand dreams that he's continually determined to pursue. He refuses to accept what others have tried to box him in as, and despite seeing the all the odds stacked against him, he continues to push and fight on. On a smaller scale, he's also quite confident, whether he's fighting corrupt policemen or lauding his father's status around to get others to back down (look i know it sounds gross but he has Reasons). He also has a very strong work ethic, and constantly works to apply himself in both his job in government and in his day-to-day life.

Intelligence: Seonho has had the privilege of receiving an education, but even without that, Seonho is quick-witted and observant. He's able to approach a bad situation and deal with it with finesse (if he can't turn it to his advantage), and he usually picks up on other people's feelings and emotions relatively well. (Except when those emotions are "we like you, Seonho" or "you're a good person, Seonho", then he doesn't know what the fck is happening there sorry). He does have a love for learning, even if it's mostly because he wants to constantly improve himself. He has the capacity to both scheme and plot, and he's fairly good at it (until he gets emotional and fcks it all up for himself).

Weaknesses:

Indecision: As Huijae mentions in canon, Seonho is... ultimately a coward. No matter if he's physically putting himself out there and taking risks, because Seonho constantly flees from the truth -- which is that he's motivated by self-interest, and that his selfishness has hurt the people he loves the most. Whether it’s damning his close friend or saving him, Seonho constantly teeters on the edge between the two while mocking himself for his own indecision. He can never fully commit to either evil or heroism, and that's his biggest stumbling block when it comes to trying to achieve his goals.

Rage: Seonho has only had one constant emotion buoying him his entire life, and that’s rage. Rage against his father, rage against a society that damned him from the moment he was born, and rage against those who believe that the laws can never be changed. It constantly eat away at him and consumes most of his thoughts, and it's the impetus behind 90% of the actions he takes. Seonho has constantly chafed against the rules that have told him he was lesser since he was born, and most of that anger manifests in how strongly he wants to prove the world wrong.

Vengeful: This ties into Seonho's rage to a degree, in that his anger inspires him to be vindictive and vengeful, especially to those who've treated him ill. Call him a bastard? He'll smile to your face, then show up at your house the next door with sword in hand and the Inquisition behind him. Abandon him for the gazillioneth time? He'll happily manipulate and use you for his own eneds. Poke too hard at his triggers? It's time to help you achieve your dreams just so he can take them all away from you. Seonho's got big dreams, and most of them are vengeful power fantasies.

Greatest Motivations: One of Seonho's greatest motivations is basically -- himself... In that he wants to establish a country where people like him (as well as others similarly disadvantaged) can finally thrive. To that end, he's willing to do just about anything, even if that means destroying all the things he actually values the most with his own hands, and also making extremely bad decisions.

The other (and arguably much stronger) motivation is tied with his friend Hwi (as well as his sister Yeon) lives. He can never fully commit to truly sacrificing either of them (even if he does like -- betray them both, more than once), and it shows by the way he constantly makes decisions hinged on the hope that his friend will pull through and survive. The important thing to note is that Seonho wants Hwi to live more than he wants him to be (closes eyes and sighs deeply) happy... Because to Seonho -- living comes first, and the whole happiness thing can come later (if at all).

Mundane Interests: Most of Seonho's mundane interests are all geared towards self-improvement, whether that's reading to learn new things or training to get stronger. The few hobbies he indulges in are all activities while hanging out with his friend Hwi and his friend's sister Yeon, and sometimes with Huijae. (He could literally be doing anything as long as it's with them.... wow) He does like to read though.

New Situations: Seonho's suspicious by nature and considering recent CRAU events, he's even more paranoid about being plunged in extremely new circumstances -- but he'll hide all of that by being polite and social, and also very cooperative. He's willing to work with others to reach a common goal, even if he might be inclined to abandon/betray some people in the process... He'll feel bad about it at least?

Abilities:
- can speak ye olde Korean and ye olde Jurchen/Manchu, as well as read and write in Chinese.
- well-versed in the sword, the spear, horse-back riding, and archery. He also has some experience with weapons that use gunpowder (like rockets that fire arrows rather than... actual guns or cannons).
- memorized most of the Four Books and Five Classics on Confucianism and the Seven Military Classics (books on military stratagem like the Art of War, etc).
- has some medical know-how, just enough to identify common battlefield illnesses and treat wounds
- govt experience (in that he can read really boring documents and not fall asleep, and also organize information quite well)
- leadership experience

Inventory: (All of the following objects are normal and no longer possess any enchantments.)

- his sword
- bow and arrows
- a small jade pendant (ordinary)
- a wooden dagger
- a survival kit (some granola bars and a water bottle)

Vision: Hydro
Reason: Seonho's dedicated himself to his vision of Equality and he tends to always prize an ideal. Whether that ideal is a country where everyone can live in -- or an ideal where he can be of use to someone in the future, Seonho's eyes are always on the horizon and above (which unfortunately means he misses everything of value right in front of him, sigh).
Role: Offensive. (Though honestly, he's flexible and pragmatic enough to take on the role most suited to him. So he can do defensive, and possibly buff/debuff if he ever learns how to do the latter).
Constellation: A sword (single-edged and slightly curved). (because Seonho constantly sees himself as a "weapon" and later "an object to be used".)
clarius: please pretend she's blonde in all icons. (Default)

➤ Character
Name: Lorem Laurel.
Canon: OC.
Canon Point: End of Abbreviated Personal History, while being tutored by her grandfather in politics.
Age: 27-years-old.

History: WORLD HISTORY. + ABBREIVATED PERSONAL HISTORY.

Personality:

STRENGTHS.
⚜️ PERSERVERING.
Where Lorem is from, she can be best described as the iron ivy that is native in Renise, France - Evergreen plants that have braved the most dangerous and terrible of conditions, only to continue standing tall and proud and stunning. One should never presume that she's weak for her gentleness and her manners. Just because she refuses to use violence right away doesn't mean she's a weak individual. There’s a sternness when it comes to her conviction and a steel in her spine when she makes a choice. Lorem is a cooperative individual but she’s no pushover.

⚜️ DIPLOMATIC.
Her greatest strengths lies in her soft skills and her intelligence: Her ability to communicate with others so effortlessly and naturally is an advantage when helping reach a resolution between all parties, or trying to get information on someone who maybe tightlipped to others. It also helps that she has a great head on her shoulders, able to stay calm under pressure and not panic or fret over something going down. Lorem best excels when she’s looking helping others out in their crises and dilemmas, doing her best to ensure their success behind the scenes and let them take the glory.

⚜️ CHARMING.
Lorem has often been described as someone sweet and kind, approachable and simply nice. And she knows this too. Lorem uses it to her advantage whenever the chance pops up: Her sweetness and charm helps make it easier to create ties and curry favours with certain parties. Lorem’s soft skills and genuinely friendly nature being combined her excellent management results in her being irreplaceable when it comes to statergising and planning missions — Which she knows but will not rub in the face of others, merely smiling and inviting she’s only happy to help.

⚜️ INTELLIGENT.
Though Lorem is weak in strength thanks to her constitution, she makes up for it with her book smarts. She prides herself in being educated in romantic languages, philosophy, and other subjects that others would find boring but she finds very practical to have when working behind the scenes. She’s well-rounded in maths and sciences and arts, things she isn’t afraid to use in conversation or in a demonstration. Her intelligence also allows her to be observant of her world, able to pick up details or little things others may look over if they weren’t taught the virtue of patience of education.

WEAKNESSES.
⚜️ OVEREXERTS.
In her attempts to do better and be better, Lorem often pushes herself too hard, trying to burn the midnight oil when she should be recovering her strength or resting herself. Though she knows how it’ll bite her in the longrun, she feels like she needs to work hard for not others’ sake but for her sake as well, paradoxically enough. She wants to be useful, more importantly, she never wants to feel useless or helpless again if she can help it. She was only sixteen when everything went down and, often times, felt like she could do nothing to help. Lorem will do anything to avoid that from happening again.

⚜️ TOO RESTRAINED.
Even when exhaustion or irritation is getting the better of her, Lorem schools her emotions and keeps a lid on. She’s quite good at it, learning to control her feelings so it’s harder to tell when she’s angry or when she’s mad. Lorem does her best to exude a pleasant, trustworthy presence to others because her job requires her to be in the spotlight, to speak with people and to be judged. It’s hard. It’s exhausting. It certainly doesn’t help with her insecurities and worries of not doing enough to help her friends if she can’t do something fast enough for their goals.

⚜️ ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE.
Tied to her weakness of being too restrained and keeping her emotions bottled up inside her, Lorem will absolutely lose her shit when something finally makes her snap. When it does happen, the person who cause her to lose her cool will not be in a pleasant ride. An angry Lorem is a vindictive Lorem and a Lorem with a lot of ties and connections she built up over the years. She can hold grudges for a long times and will go out of her way to exact them, whenever possible. And may the Venerated protect you if you harm someone she loves — She will not forgive or forget that indignity and make you pay for it.

⚜️ SURPRISINGLY SECRETIVE.
For all she’s charming, Lorem can keep others at a distance and will not divulge information about herself if possible. Information that she thinks others could use against her, at least. Being trained to become a politician only exacerbates this, with her grandfather emphasising the need to be a step ahead and to have the upper hand for the sake of diplomacy and unity. And, honestly, she rather not be forced into that corner again simply because she made the mistake of trusting someone. She already did with Dr. Sigfred and she was burned hard on that and will make sure it never happens again.

MUNDANE INTERESTS.
Lorem enjoys gardening, reading philosophical and poetry books, and working on her planners.

GREATEST MOTIVATION.
To usher in an era of true intergalactic peace across the universe and make sure it stays that way, too. Lorem has seen a lot of terrible and amazing things when she first stumbled into the machinations of the Legacy War, both on Earth and in the stars, and she wants to prevent that from ever happening again. The devastation it wrought on everyone who was involved or, worse, not involved has been devastating and is still felt after years since the war’s official end.

It’s why Lorem is a hard worker, striving to accomplish NODICE’s goal in helping others, no matter where they are — She wants to make sure no one else will feel small and helpless and uncertain as younger her had felt back then. No one deserves that and so she’ll brave (and has braved) dangerous and terrible conditions to become a step closer to her goal.

NEW SITUATIONS.
As the Head of Public Information and Relations, Lorem is used to being placed into strange situations that require her to think on her feet and to quickly make friends with others. She will be unhappy to learn she’s away from her world and her loved ones but Lorem can adapt— She’s travelled the stars, survived a war, and is juggling the work of being the face of an organization while getting ready to enter the political sphere. She’s used to having pressure on her shoulders and is able to keep her head in the past so she thinks she’ll be able to manage this as well.

Powers:

FORCE FIELD GENERATION.
The ability to silently summon a shield around herself and others thanks to the Galateion machinery that makes up the majority of her body, drawing the excess arc energy her body stores inside of her. It comes in the form of a pearlescent-like dome and is immune to most physical attacks like blows, shots, and so on. From personal experience, it has enough air to last an hour (if she's by herself) or half an hour (if more than one person is there). She's also able to make multiple shields for up to five people and expand a single shield to cover herself and three more people if they're close enough to her.

Notes: In order to keep her from breaking the game's setting upon regaining these, I'll be limiting the scope of her powers:

The shields will only be able to stay up for seven minutes, becoming less and less effective in deflecting damage over time. If it's destroyed before she can will the shield away, that causes Lorem to become exhausted and will result in her being unable to use her powers for rest of the day.

Lorem will also only be able to use her powers six times a day, with creating other shields + extending a shield to cover others counting as a use for each person. If she attempts to use it any more than that, she'll only exhaust herself by attempting to draw energy that her body does not have. This will cause her to fall into an immediate state similar to that of being under a severe stress fever, leaving her down for the count for a couple of days.

DIPLOMATIC SKILLS.
Originally joining the Lornful Light as nothing more but a mascot, Lorem has proven herself for the job after she begins to take her position seriously. Her work focused on building and maintaining interpersonal relationships with the crew members. This meant she spends a lot of time keeping the others from fighting and doing checks on the well-being of others if there's a need to intervene. In a sense, she was a morale officer for her friends and acquaintances with how she does her best to raise their spirits and see their well-being is taken care of. This skillset only improved when she returned to Earth to man NODICE's Department of Relations & Media, manning the department.

As a result, she's become adept in diplomacy and business management. She's learned how to not only smooth tensions between angry parties but also how to do write up field reports and read accounting documentation to see if there are any irregularities along with scheduling meetings and going over reports of her officers to highlight errors and fix them. Most of what she knows is from trial-and-error experiences, having been thrown into the position at the young age of eighteen and learning from others around her and from what not to do next time.

MEDICAL TRAINING.
Though not a certified doctor or emergency medical personnel, Lorem is capable of seeing someone's health if she needs to do so. Trained in basic trauma medicine, she knows how to do triage, disinfecting/patching up of wounds, and pediatric care along with other skills taught to her. She's trained in both medical services for humans and mechanoids, given her time on the Lornful Light.

She's also capable of measuring out medication and medicine with great accuracy, along with knowing which medications can help with fatigue, pain, ease, and what can be used as substitutes if those medicines are not around. It comes with the territory of looking after her own health over the years, needing to figure out how much medication she needs.

HOME ECONOMICS
Where Lorem is from, students are given three commendations - it essentially an all-access pass to her education in a certain field if she had opted to go into college - and one of her commendations was home economics. She's talented in homemaking like sewing and mending and cooking, these talents improving while she was on the Lornful Light. (She really had to develop her last two skills, as she often had to make or repair her clothes and even she couldn't survive on bland rations forever.).

She also has a green thumb, having a fondness and willingness to do gardening thanks for her love of nature and flowers while growing up. She's been taking care of plants for her entire life and, as a result, is able to identify plants and flowers and their properties, be it culinary or medical properties.

Inventory:

⭐ Clothes on her back.
Fashion is much more suited for the summer in a desert city. RIP.

⭐ A necklace of significance to her.

⭐ A ring to signify her union with Radiance.

⭐ A multitool and .comm bracelet.
Access and connection to NODICE's network is disabled. The only multitool features still working are the health monitoring system, flora properties scanner and encyclopedia, personal diary entries, and the music player application.

⭐ A vibroknife.

⭐ A wallet containing her I.D. and photos of family and friends.

⭐ A business planner that contains her plans, her notes, and a pen.

Vision: Hydro.

Reason: Since becoming entangled with the Legacy War and not only feeling its ramifications in her life but seeing how the war impacted the universe at large, as thanks to her travels and her experience in NODICE, Lorem has been since then become determined to make sure something of this scale never happens again. Intergalactic peace - true peace, without the threat of war looming others' heads - is what she wants her contribution to the stars is. She's dedicated herself to making this a reality, pouring her efforts and herself into making this almost impossible goal possible. Lorem's devotion to seeing her cause because reality is why Hydro would be a good pick for her.

Role: Support, merchant or healing class.
Constellation: Crystalline Heart.

➤ Character
Name: Seo Hwi
Canon: My Country: The New Age
Canon Point: Episode 9 - after the reunion (keeping vague for spoilers!!)
Age: 24
History: The wiki is super barebones... so I'll write out a history!! If you need me to fill in any particular details just let me know!!

Hwi was born during the Goryeo period of Korea's history, right at the cusp of a new era. Hwi's father was a renowned swordsman (known notoriously as "the greatest in Goryeo") and a beloved leader to his men as both a soldier and commander for the army. Despite being well-loved, Seo Geom was put to death after being framed and charged with treason for stealing military rations. Given the choice between accepting his sentence and being boiled alive via cauldron or committing an honorable suicide, he took his own life to spare his children the disgrace his sentence would carry.

Hwi and his younger sister Yeon were abruptly alone; their mother had died years prior, leaving them to fend for themselves. Hwi took up the responsibility of raising his sister, who developed epilepsy after their father's death. Sick and in need of regular medicine, Yeon was dependent on her older brother to ensure they both survived - and so he did the best he could to make ends meet. As soon as he was old enough, he began working as a smithy spent his leisure time training with Seonho, with whom he maintained a tight and close relationship despite Seonho's social status above him (and the connotations of being associated with Hwi and Yeon, who's family was disgraced).

Fast forward a decade or so, and the State Military Exams are being held for the first time in twenty years, presenting Hwi with the opportunity of passing and providing much-needed money and stability for him and his sister. This is where the series begins and things start to take a sharp downward turn for the worse (and serious spoilers begin for anyone reading!!). For the sake of brevity (Hwi is the Main Character and things could get lengthy) I'm going to bullet-point the main events from hereon out!
  • Hwi and Seonho meet Huijae, who works at Ihwaru, a brothel; she has been putting up posters decrying the war/government/etc and ropes them into being associated with this transgression in a bid to avoid getting caught, causing them quite a bit of trouble. However, the three end up becoming tentative friends by the end of the night.
  • While signing up for the State Exam, Hwi's enrollment is denied due to his father's disgrace.
  • Seonho later approaches him with an offer to come along as a chaser to a hunting retreat for General Yi Seong Gye, enticing him with the possibility of catching his eye. Hwi reluctantly accepts - and inevitably, his skills in archery earn him the General's personal invitation to take the State Exam.
  • Hwi makes it to the final round of the exam, which pits him directly against Seonho (who, unbeknownst to him, is injured). Hwi successfully defeats him - but after he's knocked out his friend and takes the examiner's gesture as his victory, Seonho regains consciousness and blows a backhanded strike to his head. When he comes around, Seonho has been named victorious. Unable to believe what's transpired, he charges the podium and tries to argue this injustice, but he's badly beaten and removed from the examination instead.
  • After being picked up by Huijae and recovering at Ihwaru, Hwi witnesses Seonho's father - Nam Jeon - enjoying drinks and having a grand old time with the examiner. He puts the pieces together... the exam had been rigged by Nam Jeon to ensure Seonho took first place.
  • Returning home to lick his wounds, Hwi and Yeon are interrupted at dinner; Hwi is being conscripted into the military despite their absent father and Yeon's condition requiring care. Yeon suffers a seizure from the stress, injuring her head when she falls. No matter how much he screams for the soldiers to allow him to tend her or someone to assist her, he's carted away. While waiting to be shipped out for service, he learns Seonho is the one who had forcefully enlisted Hwi.
  • Hwi spends the next several months in Liaodong which are hell on earth. He does everything he can to survive and return to Yeon and Huijae - and Seonho, who he refuses to accept has betrayed him. Here he meets several friends, as well as a former comrade of his father's - Park Chi Do. Chi Do gives him his father's armor, which had been entrusted to him to give Hwi when he was of age.
  • Yi Seong Gye intends to sacrifice Hwi's advance unit in order to assist in his plans to seize the throne. The General forms a death squad - one of its members being Seonho. They come face-to-face; Seonho takes a blow intended for Hwi, saving his life but gravely injuring him. The death squad is eliminated, but Hwi and his companions (along with Seonho) are the only survivors. (Unbeknownst to him, one of the General's Captains and leader of the death squad also survives.)
  • They tend Seonho's wounds and cross the river, intending to return home or part ways; everyone will assume them dead. Once Seonho is recovered, the two talk and Hwi leaves after Seonho tells him Yeon is dead (she is not - currently being held at the Nam residence under his father's thumb).
  • The next arc of the story sees Hwi temporarily parting ways with his friends and fellow survivors of the advance party. He learns two crucial pieces of info - one: his sister is indeed alive - but she's forgotten him due to the brain injury she suffered the night he was conscripted. Two: half of a letter he found in his father's armor has important information. He gains the second half of the letter from the Madam of Ihwaru in exchange for promising to keep his distance from Huijae.
  • He begins working for Nam Jeon in exchange for Yeon's continued safety, and is ordered to gain the trust of and serve as a double agent for Yi Bang Won, King Yi Seong Gye's fifth son. In order to achieve this goal, Hwi risks everything in a gamble to gain Bang Won's attention - and while it almost results in everything blowing up spectacularly in his face, he inevitably earns his tentative trust and favor.
  • With Bang Won on his side, Hwi begins formulating a plan to free himself and Yeon from under Nam Jeon's thumb with the aid of his companions. This involves a multi-faceted ploy to fake both his death as well as Bang Won's. Shockingly, this is successful and brings Nam Jeon's misdeeds to light in front of the court - as well as the King himself. Nam Jeon is imprisoned, and Hwi can finally and safely reunite with his baby sister.
  • This leads up to Hwi's canon point directly after being reunited with Yeon, because I'm a kind soul.
Personality:

STRENGTHS:
  • Compassion & warmth. Hwi is a simple creature at heart; while his friends have lofty ambitions and possess an intense drive to reach their goals, Hwi's deepest wish is a pretty basic one - he wants to be able to put enough food on the table to feed his family, and to be with those he loves. A quiet, peaceful life sounds pretty good to him, and as the series progresses this earnest wish only becomes more apparent. His big heart and deep capacity to feel for others means he's rarely hurting for friends, and tends to make allies even in the worst of circumstances - so he's almost always surrounded by people, which is exactly where he likes to be. Once you've forged a bond with him, Hwi will fight to the death for you and do all he can to take care of you - whether that means providing a warm meal, a helping hand when you've fallen on rough times, or a joke to try and cheer you up.
  • Wit. Sometimes a little slow on the uptake in some social situations (like with women cough), he's otherwise a quick-witted and intelligent man who spent most of his life in pursuit of knowledge - whether that be in improving himself or his mind (with the help of his sister). Hwi demonstrates a keen observational eye and the ability to formulate deep, multi-layered plans in order to gain the favor of Bang Won, and then again to take down Nam Jeon. His quick thinking and ability to read his opponents comes in handy on the battlefield and is absolutely responsible for getting him through his time in Liaodong.
  • Resolve. Once Hwi has put his mind to something, it's near impossible to shake him out of it. From training to take the State Exam, to going the extra mile to ensure that his loved ones are safe, to straight-up refusing to give up on people, Hwi proves that no obstacle or amount of opposition will prevent him from reaching his end goal. He suffers countless set-backs and hardships throughout his life, but none of them erode his continual determination.
  • Selflessness. This man is a caretaker at heart; every day since his father's death has been spent doing his utmost to provide for his sister and work toward a better life. This often means making hard decisions or going without in order to ensure she has enough - for example, we see him putting a metal plate in his bowl to pile rice on top of and make it look like his portion is fuller than it is (even if Yeon saw through it in short order...). Time and time again Hwi puts himself in a position that causes him no shortage of pain or duress, but he will not complain or falter in the name of protecting those he cares for.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Anger. The world is an unfair, unjust place - Hwi understands this well, but it doesn't make this reality any easier to swallow. His father was taken from him and Yeon at a young age, and they had to struggle to keep their heads above water in a society that looked down on them as less than dirt by association with a traitor - despite Hwi and Yeon both knowing in their hearts he was a good man. Even if Hwi's bitterness is buried deep and his misgivings never clouded his ability to love, it definitely painted his perception of society and his prospects for the future. This in combination with his deep-seated sense of personal justice means that he does not stomach witnessing cruelty well. Whether its in his name or in the name of others, Hwi stands up for what he feels is right and isn't afraid to get himself in a good bit of trouble for it. This can go rather catastrophically against him - a perfect example of this being the State Exam, where the victory for first place was taken from him. Using his father's death to mock him on top of having his loss stolen sent him into a blind rage, charging the examiner and being beaten so badly he would bear scars from the event the rest of his life.
  • Impulsive. This often works hand-in-hand with his anger; easily impassioned, Hwi can sometimes make snap judgments, and there are many times if a friend hadn't been around to stay his hand - he would've done something drastic and terrible. Sometimes he doesn't possess the presence of mind to know when it's best to leave a situation as is and cool his head, but thankfully - he's learned to pick his battles a bit better as the years progress.
  • Self-sacrificing. Hwi's love is a double-edged blade, at times - though his compassion and kindness are doubtless virtues, they also sometimes result in him putting others above himself. He will often neglect taking care of himself and avoids burdening others whenever possible - not because he doesn't believe himself worthy of attention or care, but because he much rather not be a source of concern or trouble. Sometimes, everything else is just more important!! he says, before passing out (smh my head).
Greatest Motivation: Love!! Hwi is a big ol' bleeding heart; he cares about people and deeply. He's a people person who sincerely gets the most out of simply sharing pleasant company in peace. From the beginning, all he's wanted is to provide for and be with his loved ones. He'll do anything to achieve that.

Mundane Interests: Cooking! This man loves to cook and take care of others. Archery! Training! Does sitting and having a good convo count? Watching you talk about things you're passionate about is a definite interest!! Sharing good company can definitely be a hobby, right?

New Situations: Hwi would definitely be a bit skeptical at first, but he's a practical sort of guy and would be invested in figuring out his new situation. It helps he's open-minded and generally wants to see the best in people, so the prospect of coming together with others and working toward their shared goal wouldn't be hard to stomach. Eventually, he'd be pretty eager to help however he could.

Abilities:
Hwi is a normal human with no supernatural or spiritual abilities and powers (normie!!), but he's got some skills:
  • Archery: Hwi is renowned as being an excellent marksman, able to hit a target from such a great distance and with precision that only the King and former General is able to match.
  • Swordsmanship: His father was known as "the greatest swordsman in Goryeo," and Hwi has taken after him in his affinity for the sword. He may not be able to claim the same prowess as his father, but he's definitely skilled. Being sent to Liaodong and learning to survive on the hellish battlefield, his firsthand experience fighting for his life has honed his blade.
  • Tactical & Strategic ability: Hwi has learned to observe and anticipate the actions of those around him. Though it takes a great deal to motivate him to do so, he's proven himself capable of using his skills and experience to formulate plans to move multiple pieces on the proverbial board - for example, the elaborate set up to free his sister from Nam Jeon's hold, which included a plot to fake his death - as well as that of a Prince - in an extremely public fashion.
  • Smithy: He has worked as a blacksmith in order to provide for himself and his sister, and is proficiently skilled with a forge.
  • Stamina & Endurance: Hwi (and Seonho) get stabbed or otherwise maimed countless times and are able to fight through the pain. Other characters have remarked at their uncanny ability to keep going despite injury and pushing through duress.
  • Basic (ye olde) medical training: As part of his training for the State Exam, as well as knowledge gained taking care of his sick sister, Hwi has a good solid base of medical knowledge (herbal remedies, first aid, etc). Keep in mind this is from the Goreyo/early Joseon era so nothing too modern or cutting edge.

➤ Character
Name: pieck finger (yeah that’s her surname)
Canon: attack on titan
Canon Point: ch135
Age: somewhere in her mid 20s!

History: wiki

Personality:
☝️amiable (+): Pieck carries a mostly friendly demeanor around others, shown to wave for her hellos, at times hug, and even physically coddle frightened souls when they need it, from squeezing their hands in reassurance to offering gentle strokes when they're asleep or protectively embracing them. All of her comrades and those directly working with her seem to adore her, some even arguing among themselves to be the first to touch her hand when she needs help. Overall, she doesn't tend to be rude without reason, and is almost always, if not always, reasonable and rather quaint to speak to. She's also incredibly considerate to her loved ones, giving up her life as a civilian and shortening it as a result, so to speak, to be able to take care of her ill Father.

☝️astute (+): Peick’s good judgement is her greatest quality, as it was a natural skill that was preened to talent enough to be chosen as the Cart Titan holder. Through her experiences and training under Marley, Pieck is able to assess a situation that happens around her, is able to stop, to reflect, to deduce and then act accordingly for the most desirable outcome— all done promptly rather than hot headedly following a moment’s feeling of intense emotion. She’s able to keep certain calm during these times that allows her to make the best and most rational decision in and outside of the battlefield; if she doesn’t trust someone, she subtly lets people she knows know she’s uncertain and uncomfortable. She separates what she’s feeling with what must be done, allowing to successfully choose perhaps the better path in a problem. This not only benefits her, but also the comrades that work with her, shown to be incredibly trusting of her. As they say: usually, Pieck is right.

When others begin to act towards passion, Pieck is the steady hand by them to remind them of the facts in their favor or not (an example of this was when Liberio was under attack; Porco begins to worry about immediately taking down Eren and taking the Founder from him to secure their place. Pieck calmly asks why he’s so worried, and explains their advantage: the survey corps weaponry is short term and they have nowhere to go: fight as backup). She’s also fully aware she can’t control everything— usually, a true plan comes into play after the fact, but she keeps her senses keen for the possibilities far beforehand (using the same example as the former, Porco eventually runs off on his own even after Pieck advises not to; she stands her ground and continues with the plan on her part, and eventually is overwhelmed). Pieck is aware of her judgement as they were the reason why she topped the list of candidates to inherit the Cart. Zeke has been known to constantly praise her for this when she deduces something (“That’s Pieck for you! You’re absolutely right!”, or something along those lines).

Pieck also recently proclaims in the latest chapters: I’ve always been focused on one point from the start, meaning, if she has an objective, the only thing that changes (or not) is how to get there. She doesn’t deviate and she doesn’t let emotion cloud that judgement. One better example of this was when Zeke’s betrayal came into play; rather than becoming uncertain in her actions or feeling a need to hold back (like many of the Survey Corps feel regarding Eren), she does not, counting that she mentions always having doubts about him due to a gut feeling of him always lying, until he finally heard him being sincere to his younger half brother. While she may harbor feelings that can pull certain strings, she doesn’t let it dictate her actions. She counter attacks and carries her captain with high caliber anti-titan artillery, and aims to shoot him down and kill him. This, because above being her friend, Zeke was an enemy to humanity despite his “well meaning” intentions. Her side was still by the people she still trusted, and the best course was to fight back and disallow The Rumbling.

☝️obstinate (+/-): I'd also like to add that while Pieck has exemplary deduction skills and a gift to keeping rational, it really doesn't mean she's always right— this can also be a weakness depending on the circumstance, such as when Falco decided to transform for the first time to help the other shifters against a fleet of Jaegerists. Pieck advises against it due to it being a risky gamble (a shifter's first shift hardly ever goes well in that they lose control of themselves). He decides to do it anyway, and if they hadn't, perhaps the shifters would've been overwhelmed completely, and their progress to reach the source of the Rumbling lost.

☝️easy going (+/-): Almost always seen with her infamous "sleepy cat" look, a laid-back smile and disheveled hair, Pieck's calm can definitely be interpreted as patient, tolerant and perhaps at its worst, stoical— but it shouldn't be confused with her being unable to take initiative or being too forgiving— if she's confident, she'll play along. She can make prodding jokes and give people cute nicknames. If something bothers her, she'll still immediately cut it off and let the person know their boundaries.

☝️eccentric : Pieck is a keeper. She doesn't exactly fit into a pre-molded cast and has her own perks that she doesn't at the least seem embarrassed to have and express. She crawls around on all fours if her body is used enough to it, takes up an entire couch to sprawl out on and seems to enjoy the kick of scaring or weirding people out with it (as she smiles up lopsidedly at Porco nearly having a heart attack on the stairs). If she feels like crawling and there aren't too many souls around to hound her for it, why not crawl? If she wants to start walking normally again, then she'll get her crutch.

☝️motivations: Pieck discusses their precarious situation within the military with her fellow comrades several times in the manga with a heavy gaze and worried frown, and is even shown to have become more emotional when speaking to Gabi of their possible fates in the future, saying that if they leave things the way they are, Eldians will even lose their combat value and be killed off like animals, one by one— this reflects the most in her goals that remain focused from start to finish in what she wants: freedom and the protection of her family. Her desire is for her kind to be live and walk about just as anyone else does, with no scorn or backlash, and this, Pieck believes they must earn that on their own as no one will facilitate it for them. She fights not for loyalty to Marley, saying outright that she doesn’t trust them; she fights for a pathway that can lead to being treated equally, and starting with fighting off Eren Jaeger and his Founding Titan as he sets off to destroy the rest of the world— a world that wants them all dead, and that doesn’t stop Pieck, even after learning that Liberio, where her father lives, has already been trampled halfway towards encountering Eren.

Powers:
Pieck is one of the holders of the Nine Titans, in her case, capable of shifting into a four meter giant called The Cart Titan; considered the smallest of titans, the Cart is capable and made for carrying heavy cargo and weaponry on its flattened back. Known for its high stamina and endurance, Cart titan holders are capable of staying in their titan form for months at a time without the posed risk of absorption that other shifters face in hours at a time. Because of the Cart’s body type, it’s often shown to be equipped with man-made weaponry, such as tanks, armored clasps and machine guns for battle. That doesn’t mean the Cart lacks offensive prowess— Pieck has been recently shown to be able to consistently shift one time after another, “one hundred times” in a row if need be thanks to the Cart’s endurance (while most shifters can only shift up to three times in a row) and shows off a fierce attack in being able to move swiftly and use her jaws to assault immediate weak points. Carts are one of the only titans (next to Zeke’s Beast) that can speak coherently and in complete sentences without problems. Pieck is a little weaker than the others— while all shifters are capable of rapid regeneration (as long as the brain and spine aren’t severed), any damage to the titan, while she’s capable of healing, is slower, especially in her human form. And as a fun tidbit: she sometimes says in her titan form for so long that she forgets how to walk— she can be seen crawling around on all fours because “it feels more natural”, and often needs crutches to stand normally.

as a note, i’ve spoken to mods about pieck coming in her titan form! she’ll be shrunk down to two meters and her regeneration abilities will be nerfed until regaining the ability to shift and deshift! she has no superhuman strength, only the strength of something that’s two meters (i still imagine a horse). if anything else is needed, please let me know!

Inventory: just her clothes inside her titan.

Vision: anemo (wind)
Reason:
Pieck, joined the military warrior program as a child after learning her father was ill. Earning a spot as a Warrior would give rights to proper medical attention and aid her father wouldn’t have otherwise due to their status as Eldians. Eldians are generally treated extremely poorly by Marley and even worse beyond that. As they begin to lose their advantage and combat value in the military, Pieck worries for the future of Eldians and fights for a different end in her own manner. She states that they must earn their place in the world by their own means and expresses that what she wants most in the world is for Eldians to be free— this is a cause she fights to see in the future, and what I believe makes her a good fit for wind!

➤ Character
Name: Serpico.
Canon: Berserk.
Canon Point: Volume 19, shortly after returning to the Tower of Conviction after the Holy Iron Chain Knights break up the pagan ceremony.
Age: 20.

History: Wiki link!

Personality:
Weaknesses/strengths:

➺ Adaptive (+/-): Serpico's defining trait, both for better and for worse, would probably be his highly adaptive nature. A lifetime of being forced into various roles that he never asked for has made him tremendously malleable, and Serpico is capable of filling basically any niche he's required to in a near-effortless fashion. Whether he's expected to be a submissive servant or a steely-gazed knight enforcing the word of the Church, Serpico will abide with zero hesitation. And while this willingness and ability to adapt to his circumstances has allowed him to emerge from a brutal childhood relatively unscathed, the downside is that Serpico has been left with very little ego and sense of self.

➺ Passive (-): And tying into the above, Serpico's lack of ego means that he's highly passive by nature. Not that he's as much of a doormat as he pretends to be, but, to some degree, he's simply incapable of acting on his own. He'll always default to following the whims of others, and even when acting upon a desire of his own (i.e. protecting his mistress and secret-half-sister Farnese), he's only able to do so while maintaining the status quo. Everything he does takes place within a framework that has already been set out for him. And though this is a flaw that Serpico himself is astutely aware of, it's also not something he can shake off so easily. Partly because ...

➺ Emotionally distant (-): ... he simply lacks the strong emotions necessary to be more proactive. A childhood spent scrambling for survival and being forced to carry a pride that was constantly beaten out of him has resulted in a rather distant attitude, and regardless of however he might feel about any situation, Serpico's emotions are always subdued and placed at a low priority. This does have some pragmatic advantages, but it's a much greater handicap than it is a strength, as it means Serpico is, for the most part, incapable of feeling truly driven or motivated about anything.

➺ Dishonest (-): And just to add one last layer of obfuscation to this mess of a person, Serpico has zero qualms about lying or bluffing or presenting himself dishonestly. In fact, it seems to be his first instinct in most situations. A distinct lack of pride means he's happy to present himself as a bumbling, somewhat gormless, boot-licking lapdog. Because it means people will underestimate him and make things easier for him if he ever needs to seriously take action. He generally doesn't talk about himself much, and even when he does, he'll usually play modest or just ... straight-up lie. Not that he ever acts out of malice, or lie simply for the sake of lying. But because Serpico is a wary pragmatist who isn't really capable of feeling lonely, it's very rare for him to present himself honestly to anyone, and he doesn't really make friends.

➺ Shrewd (+): The upside to [ gestures vaguely to all of the above ] is that Serpico is a fantastically sharp individual who should never be taken lightly. On top of being a naturally intelligent and quick-thinking person, he's a calculated individual who's always aware of the risks, costs-benefits and priorities of any situation. He's capable of being recklessly brave and vicious so long as he knows there's a chance of victory, but as soon as he knows that those chances have fallen to zero, he'll beat a swift retreat; he doesn't take any actions without thinking through the consequences and costs. Having grown up both in the streets and among nobility, he's highly emotionally intelligent, with a silver tongue to go with his chameleon-like persona. A lot of people will think of him as kind of a useless weenie, but in most cases, that's only because it's exactly what he wants.

➺ Diligent (+): However! Even if he's a sly ol' fox, Serpico isn't the type to use his wits to avoid working. He's a consistently hard worker, always tending to his duties without complaint (as long as it's consistent with whatever role he's playing at the moment) and okay with doing just about anything that's asked of him. Serpico isn't used to having idle time to himself, so he'll often even take up tasks that haven't been asked of him, or add thoughtful extra touches to the work he's been assigned (again, as long as it's consistent with whatever role he's playing at the moment).

➺ Righteous (+): And lastly, though it's not necessarily a strong point in the grimdark world of Berserk where good people often unceremoniously eat shit, Serpico is, despite a highly tumultuous life ... a decent guy. He's been ordered to do some truly awful things in the past, of course, and his view of people as a whole is rather wary and cynical. But he's sympathetic towards the poor, decently chivalrous towards women and the young, and willing to lend a hand to protect people when he can. His actions are only limited by whatever role he's playing and whoever's whims he's following, but within that framework, he'll make efforts towards being a good person. Not to mention, his polite mannerisms are pretty genuine, he's generally modest and nice enough, and he isn't the type to look down on others, regardless of personal like or dislike. It's probably some indication of quiet strength of character that he's managed to maintain a relatively intact moral compass. ... mostly.

Greatest motivation:

➺ Doesn't really have one! :^) His first priority, of course, will be returning home to Farnese's side so he can continue protecting her, but that's more of a goal-oriented motivation rather than a truly intrinsic one. But if you really had to squeeze a deep, fundamental desire out of him, it would probably be 'peace'. Serpico just wants Farnese to be safe and sound and comfortable with herself. (And indirectly, that would allow him to be at ease.) 'Peace' is also something sorely lacking in the continent, so, y'know. It'd be something nice for everyone else, too. So maybe it's something worth putting a little effort towards.

Mundane interests:

➺ Serpico doesn't have much by way of personal interests! It's hard having hobbies when you spend your every waking moment catering to another person, after all. But he does seem to favor cooking a little more than most of his other servant-ly duties, if you can call that an interest.

New situations:

➺ Once he's over the shock of ending up in a supernatural situation (which, as part of a group of knights hunting down heretical witches, isn't a good look), Serpico will do what any good social chameleon does -- figure out his surroundings and get to know people. Though not friendly per se, Serpico does know the value of networking and allies, and will try to mine his new acquaintances for useful information. But at the same time, he's [ reality tv voice ] Not Here To Make Friends, so he'll probably be playing modest and trying to avoid making an impression, presenting himself as a hapless herald who's gotten caught up in these terribly complicated circumstances, haha, oh dear! (And only kick into high gear once it becomes clear that playing dumb any longer would be counterproductive.)

Abilities:
Though he largely pretends to be a charmingly bumbling everydayman, Serpico is about as well-rounded as one could expect of a good ol' normie human from the grimdark medieval ages!

➺ SWORDSMANSHIP: Serpico is an incredibly deft swordsman, capable of fending off multiple armed soldiers in an instant. His weapon of choice is the rapier, naturally gearing him towards speed and precision over power, and he's capable of some ridiculous acrobatic feats to facilitate a nimble fighting style.

➺ TRICKSY: Tying into his great adaptiveness, Serpico isn't shy about pulling some unorthodox moves during combat. He's shown to be capable of things like picking pockets on the fly and figuring out how to use an enemy's weapon against them after just one demonstration. He also has a strong throwing arm and incredible aim, and he's not above taking a shot at a pre-existing injury if he sees the chance. In other words, he will fight dirty when appropriate, and in a way that entails more than just, like ... pocket sand.

➺ WIT: Of course, it takes some pretty quick wit to be able to take advantage of circumstances like that, and Serpico has that in spades! He's shown to be a very shrewd strategist, with an eye for detail and a strong understanding of how an environment would affect the flow of battle, as well as the ability to formulate plans and adapt on the fly.

➺ MUNDANE STUFF: Outside of combat, he's the epitome of the hypercompetent underling. He's capable of just about everything one would expect from a good servant-turned-noble: cooking, cleaning, managing gear, horseriding, noble etiquette, etc. etc. It's never specified how far his education went, but as a herald of arms, he probably knows how to read and write pretty well, and has a thorough understanding of the surrounding lands' armies and banners.

➺ MAGIC POTENTIAL: Lastly, it's shown later in his canon that he has a mild affinity for magic. Though he's had little contact with magic as of his canon point, he's later shown very quickly adapting to magical weaponry and surprises even a witch with how quickly he bonds with the elementals bound to his magical weapons.

Inventory:

Just the clothes on his back (a semi-personalized set of armor in the style of the Holy Iron Chain Knights), his signature fox-style helm, and a (regular, non-magical) rapier!

Vision: Cryo.

Reason: Despite Serpico's (somewhat ironic) canon alignment with the element of wind later on in the series, I think Cryo would fit him well in terms of motivation and personality. He suffers from a marked lack of sense of self, in large part due to his rather harsh upbringing, and has filled that chasm in his heart with pragmatic, single-minded devotion to others -- most notably, his half-sister Farnese. And despite the complicated nature of their relationship, he does harbor a lot of platonic love for her. He also internally characterizes himself as having a rather icy demeanor but, underneath that cynical attitude, he's a good guy who cares about people's wellbeing, if you can call that a subdued love for humanity.

Role: Ideally hybrid DPS-support. The type of character with strong DPS potential, but also has buffing skills that can either buff himself or an ally, so you can either nuke the enemy down with him or use him to bulk up another DPS unit if you want. But if I absolutely had to pick a single role, it'd probably be support, since he's probably a bit too passive to be pure attacker.

Constellation: A fox.

➤ Character
Name: Lucas
Canon: Who Made Me a Princess
Canon Point: Chapter 58
Age: Appears 15, is actually several hundreds of years old.

History: Wiki

Personality:
STRENGTHS
ADAPTABLE: Depending on the situation or the individual, Lucas is capable of flipping a switch and putting on the best act suited for the moment. He can go from being proper and polite to being bratty and annoying without so much as batting an eye. He's lived a long life and learned how to best play his cards to hold his advantage.

CAPABLE: Lucas is extremely capable throughout the series he comes from. He's able to heal injuries that other magicians aren't able to, complete the tasks he sets out to accomplish, and generally is people's go-to when faced with trouble. It's because of his high level of skill that he's appointed Imperial Magician, though he hides his true identity and masquerades as a young boy. Not much daunts Lucas, and his confidence in his abilities only furthers aids his capability.

PERCEPTIVE: He's basically a wise old man at this point, and he's quick to pick up on things that others may miss. Lucas has a keen eye when it comes to the feelings and intentions of others. He'll make note of everything he sees and hears, maybe even comment upon it, and more often than not, use the information as manipulation fuel.

EMPATHETIC: Despite swearing to himself many years ago that he'd never let himself get attached to another being, Lucas has been deeply moved by a certain someone he's unexpectedly become close with. He's found himself growing upset when Princess Athanasia is upset, pleased when she's pleased, and generally can't help but be affected by these moods. He's offered on numerous occasions to go out of his way and fix things in order to help the princess, and while he'd like to reason that it's out of obligation or boredom, it's plain to see that he cares an awful lot about her. In this way, it's shown that Lucas is capable of empathy.

WEAKNESSES
SELFISH: Lucas' number one priority has always been himself. He looks out for his own best interests, willfully neglecting others if it means benefiting from doing so. After watching his mentor waste away from the loss of loved ones, Lucas refused to know love in order to not fall into the same fate. He'll ignore others if he deems them worthless and doesn't really bother with anyone's business but his own. It's only recently that things have begun to change, but even then it's slow progress and Lucas remains dedicated to himself.

INSENSITIVE: He's definitely not considerate when it comes to other people's feelings or belongings. While he can fake politeness and niceties, he can also be shrewd and petty if he decides he doesn't like someone. He doesn't much understand or care for human values, and would much rather eliminate inconveniences with a snap of his fingers than work things out.

CONDESCENDING: Arrogant, prideful, and vain, Lucas has all of these qualities in spades. He'll be the first person to brag about himself, and the first person to put others down to their faces. Though he has a wealth of knowledge, he's not much for sharing, and he'd much rather make it known how much the other party doesn't know compared to him. Either meet his standards or get yelled at for being nothing more than an annoyance in his presence.

RUTHLESS: Lucas is ill-tempered and quick to anger if things aren't going his way. He's not one to hold back, and doesn't hesitate to cause harm. He nearly killed a child the first time they met, and has made numerous threats on people's lives.

GREATEST MOTIVATION
His own self-interests and what's most advantageous for himself are his greatest motivations. He's accomplished a great deal during his long life, and there's not much else to do other than preserve who he is. He's interested in learning as much as he can, becoming more powerful, and living a comfortable life.

MUNDANE INTERESTS
Back home, Lucas spent much of his time acting as both the Imperial Magician and the Magician of the Tower. His main duty at the palace was mostly to keep the Imperial family healthy and safe, while also making sure the world was kept in balance. He was good at his job, and reliable as well. Without his jobs to keep him busy, he'd probably fall back to learning what he can about magic or adventuring out to discover new potentials for himself.

NEW SITUATIONS
Having lived for hundreds of years, Lucas has an eye out for whatever might be new and potentially exciting. If it can keep him entertained, he's willing to give it a chance. His ability to adapt to situations seamlessly means life-altering changes won't affect him all that much either. And as someone who is knowledgeable and well-practiced with magic, he won't find this new world to be too different from what he's used to. As for interacting with others, Lucas isn't one to shy away from making connections. He'll make nice with the locals, put on a respectable act when he needs to or be a pain in the ass depending on the individual, and generally go about trying to figure things out on his own. He's kind of above asking for help, so that's not likely. But he will lend a hand every now and then if he thinks there's a reward involved.
Abilities:
  • MAGIC: Ranges from harmless like invisibility and creating bubbles out of thin air, to harmful such as causing others to have difficulty breathing. He can teleport himself and others, change the appearance of himself and others, erase the presence of himself and others to those who may be nearby, and can even control people's bodies. Lucas is capable of adjusting temperatures and using heat spells, can create doppelgangers, summon a huge ball of fire, move objects at will, and knock people unconscious with a single touch. He's well-versed in all kinds of magic, and considers himself to be the most powerful warlock in existence. Written works from the past describe him to be so powerful that he could easily bring an empire to ruins.
  • MANA: Lucas can see and sense mana waves, or life force, in people. He's able to remove and replenish mana, and can also remove curses and mana "smudges" (leftover mana waves from others) on people. He's able to tell when a person is dying or when their magic is leaking out of them.
Inventory: Just the clothes he's wearing.

Vision: Electro
Reason:
As a warlock with devastating power, Lucas has learned to freeze his heart so that his passion would never overcome reason and his emotions would never overcome rationality. He's put himself on the path to live a long, lonely existence and willingly accepts it. Before settling in the palace as the Imperial Magician, Lucas lived a mostly isolated life inside the Tower, which matches up with being an outcast.
Role: Buff with some debuff. While he'd do fine as an offensive battler, he'd rather not dive headfirst into the fray or exert himself too much unless he absolutely has to.
Constellation: A tower.

➤ Character
Name: Felix Hugo Fraldarius
Canon: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Canon Point: Post-game, Pre-Epilogues, Azure Moon Route
Age: 23

History: Felix-Specific Stuff | Overall Game Synopsis | Azure Moon Timeline

Personality:
Strengths

Compassionate

When Felix was a child, Felix was known to be a bit of a crybaby? Felix felt everything so, so deeply—and Felix continues to feel everything so, so deeply, which he does his absolute best to hide with that aforementioned prickly persona. He's terrible at separating himself from others, despite his best efforts, and his in-game supports are littered with examples to illustrate this. He helped Ingrid with her chores after she was wounded in battle; he fussed at Sylvain for attempting to protect him during a fight, then rushed to his bedside when he heard that he was grievously wounded (spoiler alert: he was NOT); he told Ashe to never give up on his dream of becoming a knight, despite his own aversion to the title; he stopped everything to listen to Bernadetta when she simply asked him to; he worked around his hatred of sweets because Lysithea baked a cake just for him—like, need I go on? It's obvious that, while he tries to bury his care and concern for others, he just... can't. Oh, he'll snap at them, and he'll continue to call them out for their foolish behavior, but if people can patiently look past that—which people frequently do, given that he isn't as hard to read as he'd like to think—then he'll wind up (grudgingly) accepting them. He will always, always be there when he's needed, even if he's snapping at them all the while.

Sensible

Felix is sharp-tongued, sure, but he keeps a cool head, recognizing the importance of thinking things through before acting upon them—and as he isn't afraid to say what others may be thinking, he often serves as a sort of voice of reason. I'd say the best example of this is the fact that Felix is the first to notice, and therefore call out, Dimitri's deteriorating mental state? He frequently snaps at Dimitri whenever Dimitri goes on about savagely murdering his enemies, or mentions hearing the voices of the dead, because Dimitri is clearly unwell—and that does not bode well for the forces he leads. "If we keep running down this path," Felix warns his old professor after witnessing another one of Dimitri's rampages, "it's only a matter of time before the ground beneath us collapses." He recognizes that Dimitri is dividing them, and he knows that the key to winning the war is sticking together. He's surprisingly good at seeing the big picture.

Self-Sufficient

Life shouldn't be about putting yourself into harm's way without a second thought, all in the pursuit of the perfect, heroic death; life should be about living, and for that purpose, Felix throws himself into his training time and time again, dedicating himself to becoming stronger than anyone and everyone. If he is the strongest, you see, then no one can challenge him—and no one can sacrifice their life for him. It goes back to his compassion, in a sense? Felix's ultimate goal in life is to be strong enough to ensure his own survival while keeping a close eye on those he cares for. Strength became... everything, to Felix! It's why he's known to challenge people to spar with him within the first, like, ten minutes of meeting them. Better to know then and there if they're worth his time, you know... better to push them away before a bond forms, while testing his skills in the process...

Weaknesses

Prickly

Honestly, as far as first impressions go, Felix... doesn't go out of his way to make a good one. He generally doesn't care how people view him, so he's brusque! He's blunt! He will tell someone precisely what he thinks of them/their plans/their opinions without any reservations whatsoever, because he is, quite honestly, a prickly, prickly man—and that's because he deliberately seeks to keep others at an arm's length. Over the course of his life, he's lost far too many of those he cares for; those that remain are reckless, or self-sacrificing, or some combination of the two, and thus Felix's approach is meant to protect both himself and those around him. If he puts up a metaphorical wall between himself and the rest of the world, then no one will feel the need to risk their life for his sake? He won't suffer through yet another loss? It's a carefully calculated front, meant to disguise the fact that Felix is...

Cynical

This ties in with his prickliness, I suppose, but Felix's cynicism truly is the stuff of legends. He rarely expects things to go/work out well? He's, again, sensible enough to see what needs to be done to ensure the optimal outcome, but unless he's handling it himself, he's just... so sure it isn't going to happen. Other people are too weak, or too emotional, or too tied up in the ideological—and that last bit is of, ah, particular concern to Felix, given that he grew up in the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. Chivalry is a cornerstone of Faerghan culture, and Felix detests that so many people are willing to throw their lives away in the pursuit of a "good" death, that so many others see that as the only thing worth recognizing. "Chivalry begets the worship and glorification of death," he explains. "Am I alone in finding that grotesque?" There's a truly personal reason for this; like, Felix's older brother, Glenn, was a knight who died in the service of the king, and when his broken, burned armor was all that was returned t his family, Felix's father proudly declared that his son "died like a true knight." Felix, mourning the loss of the person he knew, found the focus on Glenn's death disgusting—and he still does.

Stubborn

Felix is so stubborn! My God, Felix is so stubborn—and it's both a strength and a weakness. Entrust him with a task and, if he deems it worthy of his time, Felix will stop at nothing to accomplish it; like, he will push himself to his absolute limits to see it through, simply because Felix refuses to half-ass anything. On the other hand, though, if Felix sees something to be a waste of his time, neither hell nor high water will convince him to move. He would rather bicker and/or suffer the inevitable consequences than compromise anything about himself, so don't expect him to back down? Don't expect him to easily change his views, especially those as deeply rooted as, say, his opinions re: chivalry? It's not, like, an impossibility, but Felix is so set in his ways that it will take quite a bit to make him step back and reassess himself.

Greatest Motivation

Though Felix is loath to admit it, Felix cares greatly for his friends' well-being. As I mentioned above, chivalry is deeply ingrained into Faerghan culture; so many of Felix's friends would—do—throw themselves into harm's way without a second thought, and as Felix has lost far too many people throughout the course of his life, Felix is determined to do whatever it takes to protect those who remain. It's why he spends so much time training? Why he's dedicated to becoming stronger? If he can handle any threat, then no one he cares for will ever need to risk their life for his sake—and he can silently protect them.

Hobbies

Sparring, weapon maintenance, scouring the local blacksmith's wares—if it involves quality weaponry, Felix is there. He canonically spends a ton of time in the training grounds, both perfecting his techniques and learning new ones. He's boring like that? But he also enjoys hunting, so he's fairly decent with a bow... catch him tracking a boar in the Whispering Woods...

New Situations

Felix is prickly, and thus Felix does not necessarily enjoy being thrust into new situations—but he isn't all that bad with them. Oh, don't expect him to, like, immediately make friends; his lone wolf nature means that he can and will keep to himself (which can and will bite him in the butt), but he is practical enough, sensible enough, to recognize what needs to be done—and do it without any sort of fuss. It's what kept him alive during the years spent fighting on the frontlines of a rebellion; it's what kept him alive during the months spent fighting on the frontlines of an all-out war; it's what will keep him alive in a strange new world full of strange new things.
Abilities:
  • Offensive Magic: Despite having a budding talent for Reason (Fire Emblem's term for what is essentially dark magic), Felix only has access to two spells: Thunder (minor lightning magic; 8 uses) and Thoron (advanced lightning magic; 4 uses). He rarely uses these spells? He prefers to take things apart up close, ie with his swords, but he'll fall back on his spells if he's backed into a corner—and they do pack a punch.
  • Major Crest of Fraldarius: Felix possesses a Crest, which is an inherited ability that Felix... doesn't have control over, per se? It ~activates~ of its own accord during random attacks, increasing the MT (attack power) of Felix's weapon—which means that Felix occasionally hits harder than he normally does. We're never really given info re: how often this happens, but as Felix has a major Crest, it procs more often than minor Crests tend to. In the game itself, Felix's Crest activating is something I'd definitely work out with the person/people I'm threading with!
  • Aegis Shield: I know it's nerfed, but as Relics are Important to those who wield them: The Aegis Shield is a Hero's Relic (a thousand-year-old weapon crafted from the bones of a dragon, although Felix and friends do not know this) passed down through the Fraldarius family. Only a person with a Crest of Fraldarius can wield it without turning into a beast, and as for what it does... well, it functions just like a normal shield, but sometimes it halves the damage its wielder takes? We're not really given any stats regarding how often that happens, sadly; if the Aegis Shield does regain some functionality at some point in this game's run, this is another thing I would work out with the person/people I'm threading with.
Inventory:
  • A black iron spur tucked away in his pocket...
  • Two (2) Zoltan-forged swords, which are just... regular swords he's always wearing strapped to his side, because he is honestly Just Like That.
  • A hunting dagger tucked into his boot, because again: he is Just Like That.
  • The Aegis Shield, which is now just... a normal, if spooky-looking, shield??
  • A pack containing some smoked meat, a small tin of Almyran Pine Needle Tea (tm), and a whetstone or two.
Vision: Cryo!
Reason: Felix has lost so many people in his life. His beloved older brother, his father—you could even say that he lost the Dimitri he once knew, and as Felix feels things every bit as deeply as he did when he was a child, such losses continue to hurt. They linger, constantly, in the back of his mind, and while he uses this as motivation to become stronger, that pain never really fades? It's why he carries that black iron spur about, a piece of his brother's charred armor—and why he's determined to protect those closes to him. Felix may not be the best at actually showing it, but Felix genuinely loves his friends; there is little he wouldn't do for them.
Role: Felix is a front-line fighter, though I wouldn't call him a tank. He can tank? Like, he can divert an enemy's attention long enough for a ranged unit to get some attacks in, but he does better when he can run in, smack some fools around, and run back out. Tank-y... DPS... I'm so bad with this, closes my eyes @ myself. He's on the Offense.
Constellation: A shield! Shaped like his Relic.

➤ Character
Name: Sylvain Jose Gautier
Canon: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Canon Point: Azure Moon (Blue Lions route) final chapter, pre-epilogue.
Age: 25

History: Character info, General game timeline, Azure Moon timeline, Game synopsis

Notes: Byleth was female and no other students from the other houses were recruited into the Blue Lions.

Personality: cw for mentions of child abuse.
Charming
It's important to remember that Sylvain has, essentially, two sides to him: one that he allows people to see and likely prefers them to see most of the time, and his true personality that he only shows in private or in the presence of very close friends. For most of his interactions, Sylvain projects an outward appearance of affable insouciance, with a light-hearted and easy going charm that allows him to get along with most people right off the bat. He's generally quite likable, and gives off that older brother vibe for most of his classmates, some of whom he's taken care of since childhood. He's always seen with a smile on his face and is almost always surrounded by girls, of which he's never out of compliments for.

Self-Loathing
Most, if not all, of Sylvain's internal struggle stems from his crest (something hereditary that tends to only manifest in battle and allows him to wield the Lance of Ruin without suffering from the physical and mental strain of doing so): from the moment he was born, Sylvain was given everything and anything he could want, whereas his older brother, Miklan, was given nothing simply on the basis that he wasn't born with a crest. Throughout his childhood, Miklan tormented Sylvain, abused him and even attempted to kill him at every opportunity until Miklan was eventually disowned, all of which Sylvain had endured silently. Sylvain believed his existence was the reason Miklan had suffered, and that he had unknowingly destroyed whatever future and whatever life Miklan may have had simply because he was given the crest that Miklan didn't have. The abuse he had suffered throughout the years have colored his opinion of crests and also influenced his opinion of himself, as he was led to believe that his crest was all he's good for and all he's worth. So deep is his hatred for crests and ultimately, himself, that he struggled to reconcile his own self-worth outside of his crest, believing that people only want to be close to him to reap the potential benefits that comes from being with him.

Shallow
It's the reason why he dates around with no intention of commitment—what's the point of getting serious with someone and settling down when they have no interest in who he is anyway? He justifies it by saying that they only wanted to use him as a means of becoming nobility, yet he doesn't allow any of them to come close enough to actually get to know him like he really wants. It's the same with nearly everyone else; for all of Sylvain's smiles and friendly disposition, he keeps people at a distance, only showing them a side of himself that he's cultivated over time.

Self-destructive
For all that Sylvain tries to keep people at arm's length, he's pretty bad at it because he cares too much, especially when it comes to his friends and his allies. Let it be known that Sylvain would be the first to lay down his life for Felix, Ingrid, or Dimitri without a second thought, not because of chivalry and honor and all those other notions of duty that their kingdom had force fed them with since they were able to walk, but because he cares about them. They'd been friends since childhood and he'd watched them grow, wiped their tears whenever they cried despite having no one to wipe his own. His friends are so important, much more important than he is and ever will be, and while it's so easy to write it off as dedication, in reality it's his self-loathing and self-destructive tendencies rearing its head again.

Loyal/Caring
But here's where it gets complicated, because in the end, it is dedication: for as much as Sylvain fools around and never seems to care about his training, he never fails to show up whenever his friends need him. He's the kind of guy who makes a childhood death pact at, like, ten years old and still honors it even at twenty-five; it's the one thing that makes him get his act together and curbs his self-destructive habit of throwing himself in the path of danger for his friends rather than actually pulling them out of it. He never outright refuses to help anyone either, even if it may be out of his way, or even if they didn't ask him in the first place. He tells Ashe that it's their job to help anyone who needs it, and that everyone's the same, deep down: "If someone's in trouble, I help them. You don't need to be a valiant knight to know that." He insists that a person can't be judged by the worst of their kind, much like the way he wishes people could view him: to be free from the attention that having a crest grants him, which is both as much of a spotlight as it is a microscope, always judging and scrutinizing each move and choice he makes.

Clever
And while he plays up his dumb playboy act like it's going out of style, he is, in fact, surprisingly intelligent. There's an expectation of nobles and crest-bearers that he rails against vehemently, the idea that people who don't have crests are lesser than those who possess them. As someone who is both, Sylvain was expected from a young age to do great things, expected to be better than the rest and a model for people to look up to; to lead his citizens to a brighter future. It's something he both hates and is terrified of, partly because he wishes so desperately to have the freedom to live his life the way he wants to, without the burden of crests and the suffocating weight of everyone's lofty expectations; partly because he's seen firsthand what happens if he were to fail to meet those expectations: his brother cast out and disowned, reduced to nothing but a bandit and who had ultimately died a monster, attempting to wield the Lance of Ruin in a last ditch effort to prove his worth despite knowing the consequences of doing so without having a crest. So Sylvain does the exact opposite, builds up a reputation for himself as nothing but a dandy and a philanderer, one who doesn't care about training and studies and hard work. In actuality, it couldn't be further from the truth: Sylvain is smart and calculating, able to grasp complex magic formulas at a mere glance, expressing his suspicions of the true cause behind the Duscur tragedy despite the story that everyone else believes. He values hard work and respects those who truly dedicate themselves to following their passions or honing their skills, but further than that, what he actually admires are people who are true to themselves: people who don't try to pretend to be someone different, who know who they are and what they want and are unapologetic in trying to achieve it.

Greatest motivation
Beneath all the smiles and frivolity, Sylvain is a man weighed down by expectation and duty, burdened by bitterness and self-loathing. He wants to be free from everyone's expectations of him and wants to live his life the way he wants to, not one dictated by his crest; later he goes on to mend his country's relationship with others and works to create a new way of life where crests and relics are no longer necessary. He cares a lot about his friends and the people around him, wanting nothing more than for them to live happily and freely.

Mundane interests
Sylvain is actually a big fan of the fine arts and has a love for strategy games. He's an avid reader even if he might not look like one, and enjoys both fiction and non-fiction genres. In one of his supports, he also expresses an interest in learning how to cook.

New situations
As someone who is very curious and analytical, Sylvain will prioritize gathering as much information as he can about the situation he's found himself in. He's social and has a knack for diplomacy so he won't hesitate to use his friendliness and charm to try and get to know others, whether to learn more about the setting or to establish connections and allies. Being able to establish this sort of network would hopefully help him in figuring out a way back home for him and everyone else.

Abilities:
  • Weapons proficiency: Sylvain's main weapon of choice is the lance/spear, and while he isn't Felix "While You Were Partying, I Studied The Blade" Fraldarius who wakes up at four in the morning to destroy training dummies every day, Sylvain is actually quite good at wielding it. He has to be, when he's tasked to defend the border from invading armies from the north; when he's the only one able to wield the Lance of Ruin. He's also decent in wielding axes and handling horses.
  • Magic: Sylvain has a budding talent for Reason, which, if cultivated, allows him to access a variety of fire-based elemental spells of increasing strength. He also knows some minor healing spells, which aren't very powerful, but will work in a pinch. Unfortunately, his magic will be nerfed.
  • Sylvain possesses a minor Crest of Gautier, something hereditary that tends to only manifest in battle, which gives him a boost in strength when he uses special attacks and allows him to wield the Lance of Ruin without suffering from the physical and mental strain of doing so.
  • Lance of Ruin: a cool and creepily unsettling lance made from the bones of a beast. As Sylvain is its rightful wielder, he's able to execute the special attack Ruined Sky with it, which is super effective against dragons and flying enemies. This ability will also be nerfed.
  • Education and upbringing: As heir to House Gautier, Sylvain was given a thorough and elite education both at home and later at Garreg Mach's Officer's Academy that would prepare him for his responsibilities as the next Margrave, i.e.: horsemanship, etiquette, territory management, politics, the whole shebang. Sylvain is good at diplomacy and has a talent for warfare (even if he may hate it), having grown up fighting for Faerghus his whole life. He is skilled in military strategy and battlefield calculations, and is a decent tactician with a focus on avoiding as much casualties as he can. He's the kind of guy who would cut off your supply chains right from the get-go; the guy who would first come for your gold, your lands, and then eventually, your head. He plays the long game.

Inventory:
  • his armor
  • the Lance of Ruin, now just a regular but creepy looking lance.
  • one silver lance
  • a pack containing: a change of clothes, a bed roll, some rations, and a chess set.

    Vision: Anemo.
Reason: Anemo is about wishing for a gentler future and wanting to be free, both things that Sylvain strives to work towards for himself and others. It's also granted to characters who shoulder a great burden, which also applies to Sylvain and his crest, as he always felt weighed down by the expectations of everyone around him and his own desires to live his life the way he wants to.
Role: Support-tank. Sylvain's in-game stats are built like your typical great knight/paladin class; he can take hits with his high defense and also provide support through healing/buffing skills.
    Constellation: the Gautier crest.

    ➤ Character
    Name: Tsurumaru Kuninaga
    Canon: Touken Ranbu
Canon Point: Special Investigation: Keichou Kumamoto
Age: 1000+, appears to be in his mid-20s

History: Character Wiki where he alludes to some of his history in translated lines but it doesn't really go into depth so I'll write it up using some popular information posts.
Tsurumaru is a tsukumogami-- a minor kami of a tool. Specifically, he's the spirit of a sword. Forged in the Heian Era, the sword was (and still is) considered to be incredibly beautiful. He was named Tsurumaru which means "crane" in the hope of bringing good fortune to his owners. The crane is traditionally a symbol for good health, loyalty, and general good luck.

His first owner was a child lord of the powerful Adachi clan. They were a vassal family for the ruling Hojo clan at the time but the Hojo, fearing the Adachi might overthrow them some day, ordered the entire clan exterminated in an event that would be called the Shimotsuki incident. Tsurumaru was buried with his young master but unfortunately for the spirit, the head of the Hojo clan had been captivated by the treasured sword and ordered for it to be dug up so he could have it. To this day, Tsurumaru still hates grave robbers and makes quippy remarks about the incident.

As the treasured sword of the family that had murdered his first family, Tsurumaru was again expected to bring good fortune to the family but after only a few generations, the Hojo had amassed so many enemies, it was only a matter of time before they were violently overthrown by the Ashikaga family which would establish a new era. Once more, Tsurumaru found himself shifting to the ownership of another family that had killed his previous.

From there, he was passed around from owner to owner. He briefly ended up in Oda Nobunaga's collection and was awarded to a loyal retainer before he disappeared from history again.

Tsurumaru resurfaced at the Fuji no Mori Shrine in Kyoto as an offering to the gods. He had a brief stint at the shrine as a divine sword but a wealthy merchant saw the sword on display and decided to take it. From then on, Tsurumaru hated people who stole from shrines and would also make jabs about them in the future.

The merchant family sold Tsurumaru to the Date family in Sendai and it's here that Tsurumaru's historical record becomes much more clear. The family was known for taking good care of their treasures but it fell on hard times and had to sell many of their possessions. However, they held onto Tsurumaru until they decided to offer it up to the emperor. From then on, Tsurumaru found rest in the imperial collection.

Fast forward to the year 2205 when an unspecified crisis hits Japan and the government enlists the help of saniwa sages who have the ability to summon spirits from famous swords. Tsurumaru is summoned, given a human form, and tasked with traveling back in time with other spirits like him to protect history from an army of evil sword spirits that are trying to change history.

Along the way, he reunites with other swords he's crossed paths with and while he's revisited familiar time periods and locations, he's never had to revisit a place that has a personal or deep connection to his past.

Game mechanics make it so he could potentially go to any of the time periods with any other character but within the game canon, he seems to have a special relationship with the other Date clan swords. He also mentions going on assignment with Sayo and Kasen which is a shout out to another version of canon where Tsurumaru goes on an assignment with Sayo, Kasen, and the other Date swords. The conversation in game is left vague and generic enough that it could just be a regular conversation on an ordinary assignment and I personally roll with this interpretation to keep from mixing canons.

    Personality:
+ Reliable. Tsurumaru is described as a character that rarely breaks his calm. As a result, others can rely on him even in difficult situations. His cool-headedness stems from being over a thousand years old and having experienced many different battles and scenarios. Largely, he prefers to stay hands off and let others stumble around and grow on their own but when it's necessary, he'll step up and take action or say what needs to be said. Like the crane, he's also known for his loyalty and you can always count on him to protect, follow, and support you… even to the grave.
+ Kind As soon as he's summoned, he introduces himself in a friendly and casual manner. He can be an absolute menace and his love for surprises can be troublesome at times but he never troubles anyone ever out of malice. He's always just trying to have a good time and share his joy with others. He often thinks of others, is quick to share stories when returning from assignments, greet newcomers, help those in need, and make others smile.
+ Confident Tsurumaru is very confident and proud. Besides being a strong and experienced swordsman, he's also very aware of his value. He knows he's a beautiful sword and he knows that he's both coveted and treasured. He also know that his human form, likewise, is also very attractive and he cares greatly about his appearance. He also loves his namesake and is quick to brag about how he's like a crane and what a beautiful and impressive thing that is.
~ Loyal Tsurumaru's name mean's "crane" and he does his best to live up to the name. The crane is a symbol that represents loyalty and it reflects in his personality. Even if he doesn't understand a mission, he trusts the saniwa and the assigned leaders without argument. He's also willing to throw himself into dangerous situations without hesitating if it means protecting his allies. In the end, he considers it worth it if his friends are safe and he'll laugh off any damage that happens to him. Yes, he maintains a certain level of distance... but he's still incredibly loyal to all of them. While largely an asset, it’s also a bane because Tsurumaru’s intense loyalty leads to his inability to let go and move on from the past.
    - Chaotic Tsurumaru loves surprises, even if it comes at the expense of others. He has a chaotic energy that can make him exhausting and troublesome to deal with. He's considered to be a "serial menace" and a "repeat offender" at the citadel. At his absolute worst, his personality can shift dramatically and suddenly in battle going from a cheerful and carefree spirit to one with little self regard and intense bloodlust.
    - Distant Tying a little into both his cool and chaotic personalities, Tsurumaru is an old spirit who has endured tragedy through much of his existence. His spirit is deeply traumatized by some of the events in his life and while he is friendly and kind, he always maintains a certain level of distance. Tragedy follows him and he's been passed around so many times and had so many masters die on him, he doesn't really expect things to last. He can be flippant and vague and every now and then, he might make pretty cool/cold remarks casually especially about heavy topics like violence and death.

    Abilities:
Combat, he's a natural swordsman. While he isn't actually the strongest sword in the game (he's one of the weaker ones, even), within canon, he's described as being very dependable and the type of person you can be relieved rely on.
He has two forms! There's his human form which was summoned by the saniwa. Since he isn't really human, it's generally accepted that he can take more hits than the average human and heal a little faster but otherwise, nothing special― he still bleeds, can still get sick, needs to eat, etc. His other form is his true form and is the sword he always keeps on him. Damage to his sword reflects on his human form and needs to be repaired. If it breaks, he dies.
He isn't human! He's technically a spirit that now also has a human form. Canon is vague but it's accepted that this means he's naturally stronger and has greater stamina than the average human to handle the supernatural missions he goes on. His body is still human though and can get sick, hungry, injured, etc.
Sakura fubuki? When his condition is good, cherry blossoms appear around him. He can generally fight better when this happens but it's mostly aesthetic. It's vague and seems to usually only come up in canon for special effect but its harmless and fun to play with.
Vague spirit sense and shenanigans, it's really vague but it's hinted that they can sense some spirits when they're nearby. I usually don't do much with this but it's worth mentioning because it comes up sometimes.
→ → It's not fully explained in the game but it's strongly hinted that the spirits can become corrupt versions of themselves and become the very enemies they've dedicated themselves to fighting. It's suggested that this happens if they give into despair or decide they don't need their hearts/emotions anymore. This gets confirmed and elaborated more across other versions of canon but the game is still a little vague with their flavor text (see: map captions).

Inventory: His true form, the tachi/long sword, Tsurumaru Kuninaga.

    Vision: Cryo
Reason: Tsurumaru is a character whose history is tied closely with tragedy and death. In particular, the death of his first master is something he still holds very close to him despite it happening over a thousand years ago. He still holds a grudge against those who dug up the grave and took him away from his resting place and mentions graverobbers being unforgivable people. The theme continues through out his history-- he's passed around from family to family, often after some sort of tragedy occurs. When he finally finds a place to rest, he's passed along or taken. He can't keep his loyalty or his sense of peace and that, in turns, results in him carrying all of his grief and loss with him and makes him distant and flighty. Despite this, given his nature, he wants to devote himself to someone or something and he wants to be good.
Role: Offensive, preferably at the frontline. Let him be stained in the blood of his enemies. What he lacks in strength, he makes up for with skill. I could see him having attacks that have status effects just to heck with his opponents/make him annoying to fight so I guess he could technically be support too.

    ➤ Character
    Name: Akira Kurusu / Joker
    Canon: Persona 5
Canon Point: Royal's January 12th, as the Phantom Thieves (with all 10 members) infiltrate the Palace
    Age: 17

    History: here

    Personality:
Empathetic × positive Akira gets into many of his situations due to having a deep sense of empathy for other people and their situations. If someone is suffering, it isn't something that he'll stand idly by and simply witness - he's someone who will step in, certainly, but he'll also encourage them to stand on their own two feet against the hardships they face. This understanding and compassion for people makes him into an excellent confidant, as he's not particularly judgemental, being the sort to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. All this, despite the cruelty he himself has faced.

Passionate/Defiant × positive | negative A double-edged sword. While he appears to be mild-mannered to the public eye, Akira can be particularly fiery in certain situations. This is the leader of a group of rebels, and for good reason, too: "He's quiet, but once his mind's made up, he's not going to take no for an answer." It ties in closely with his empathy, and it makes him into something of a determinator - no matter the challenge, he isn't willing to give up easily. But this can also turn into him being a bit stubborn, and many people would look upon this as a negative trait as well. Take a look at him at the very start of the game, when the police attempt to force a confession out of him: it takes bodily harm to get him to sign the confession.

Levelheaded × positive However, despite being someone that could almost be called bullheaded, Akira is actually fairly levelheaded. He can keep his cool through most any situation, resulting in someone that will be a balance or even outright anchor for the more hotheaded people around him. When Ryuji tries to take a swing at Kamoshida, he not only catches the punch to stop him, but he manages to talk him down. This is not a one-time situation, as he will support his companions and those around him with a more cool approach to a situation when it's needed of him.

Reticent × negative This one should be understandable; after everything that's happened, Akira isn't the most open person immediately. He distrusts most adults, and can come off as aloof or even outright standoffish to people who approach him at certain angles. Other misfits and rebels are given some allowance, and especially compassion, but those that confront him head on aren't given much leeway, or a more in depth look at the kind of person he is beneath the mask. If he can keep these people beyond arm's length, he uses it to protect himself - and those that are important to him. Trust has to be earned, not given, the same as respect, because he's been through quite a bit and has a decent number of secrets to keep.

Clever × positive Despite not being the brightest brains of the operation (see: Makoto joining the team, and thus them actually having plans from there on out), Akira is clever regardless. While his smarts are a bit unorthodox, he has a natural sense for problem solving. When a challenge arises, he will find a way to face it - sometimes head-on, but sometimes attacking it from an angle, and he's even capable of putting the chessmaster traitor into checkmate towards the final climax of the game when the odds are stacked against him. If he has to cheat to win, he will. If he has to break the system to win, he will. He'll regardless manage to find a way, through his own means.

Outcast × negative..? Whether truly negative or not, Akira is regardless someone that is an outcast. Whether it's someone that appears to be meek and mild-mannered that doesn't stand out in a crowd, or a quirky person with an odd sense of humor that no one quite understands, or a dangerous criminal that Shujin Academy is more than happy to spread rumors about, or the leader of the Phantom Thieves rebelling against society... he's an outcast, through and through. It makes him an enemy of the norm, but an ally to those that also don't quite fit in.

Reckless × negative ... which makes him particularly reckless, at times. Akira comes off as someone that's mild-mannered and meek, but between his passion and his cockiness, there's a neat little place for outright recklessness. He will take risks that might shock others, including his friends, with the confidence of someone that will make sure they pull it off despite the odds. He's willing to put himself in danger, if it means accomplishing what needs to be done, if it means that he can help those in danger. And that ties into...

Motivations × His strong sense of justice, and his desire to help people. Regardless of what choices are made throughout the journey Akira faces, this is the one thing that is unshakeable, that never wavers and cannot be changed. Arsene asks him, upon the awakening of his Persona, "What's the matter..? Are you simply going to watch? Are you forsaking him to save yourself? Death awaits him if you do nothing. Was your previous decision a mistake then?"

Regardless of answer, both of them are in the negative - his previous decision to help the woman being assaulted, the one that kicked off his arrest and probation period in Tokyo, was not a mistake. He won't sit idly by and watch people suffer, and any injustice will be punished swiftly.

Interests × Akira has a number of mundane interests. He plays video and arcade games, watches movies/TV shows, works out and trains, reads and studies many different books and subjects, enjoys sightseeing, likes going out to eat a variety of cuisines, plays shoji, works multiple and different part-time jobs, fishes, plays at a batting cage, cooks (though he only really knows how to make curry), brews coffee...

Also, he reforms hearts and topples corrupt governments.

Transfer Student × As a transfer student (and a Persona protag), Akira is fairly adaptive to new situations. He is occasionally knocked off balance, but he quickly gets his feet back under him to ensure that he can recover as fast as possible. He's also the sort, at least nowadays, that wants to get to the root of what the situation is, and can be readily called curious, or even nosy, getting involved in business that is routinely and absolutely not his. Whether he fits in or not isn't generally a concern of his, but he will blend in or fade into the background as best he can at times so as not to draw attention to himself, and to let him investigate safely before he gets directly involved.

    Abilities:
Wild Card × As the Wild Card of the Fool Arcana, Akira has access to an entire compendium of Personae to summon, often historical and mythological figures and creatures, with an allotment of 12 at a time to rotate between by the end of his journey. Each one has a set of skills, ranging from offensive magic and physical attacks, healing and reviving magic, and buffs/debuffs that he can use on himself and others. Should access to his Personae be regained, individual stats for the Persona in question will be provided!

Marksmanship × While the guns are toys, made lethal by the cognition of the minds they interact with during their reformation of hearts, Akira is something of a sharpshooter now after extensive combat and practice. This is only for pistols, however, as he's only gained experience with them rather than any other projectile weapon. He could probably adapt and learn to use others, however, if given the chance to practice and experience their use. (Admittedly, his form of practice was... an arcade shooting game... it's fine.)

Knifetricks × Akira specifically uses knives as his melee weapon, though some of the ones provided for him are actually categorized in real life as short swords (like a kopis). Long-blade daggers, khokri, and kopis are often the weapons available to him, and he's extremely efficient with them, hacking, slashing, and stabbing with a great deal of proficiency.

Parkour! × Steps sure and quick, to the point that he can practically flash step from hiding place to hiding place, Akira can scale obstacles, run across thin supports, and use a grappling hook with great proficiency. So long as he can get leverage, find footing, he'll find a way to run or climb it.

    Inventory:
➤ Thief's clothes (probably, considering he was neck deep in the cognition)
    ➤ Melee knife
    ➤ Ranged (model) pistol
    ➤ Grappling gun

    Vision: Electro
Reason: While Pyro would also be appropriate, thematically and aesthetically, Electro is the Vision of a rebel. To say that Akira is tenacious would be an understatement, given everything that he goes through in just little under a year living in Tokyo. He fights for what he believes in and follows his own path, weathering every storm that he's thrown into, and grows stronger from the experience. He's also adaptable, so throwing him into just one, specific element won't bother him too much so long as he can continue to use it for the betterment and aid of other people. If he has a power that can break the chains on society, he'll use it.
Role: All-rounder! Due to his ability as the Wild Card, he's versatile as far as his role in a JRPG can go, as he has access to hard hitting Offense, exceptional Healing, and some of the best Buff/Debuff skills.
Constellation: The Trickster (maybe the Phantom Thieves logo or his Joker mask, haven't decided, whomp)

    ➤ Character
Name: Valvatorez (Bloodthirsty King of Fear, Val, Valzy, King of Carnage and Atrocity, Prinny Instructor)
    Canon: Disgaea 4
    Canon Point: Desco's ending
Age: He looks in his mid 20s, but as a demon he's really 2542.

    History: Here

    Personality:

    Strengths:

    * Promises. If Valvatorez makes a promise, its one hundred percent binding. There's nothing in any world that could make him break a promise. Which means that if he's promised anybody anything at all, he is going to complete it. Not just to the best of his abilities, he will fulfill it. No matter if it means giving up his power or fighting God, there is nothing in the world that can stop him from fulfilling any promise he made. It might take hundreds of years before he can, but that will not stop him.

    * Optimistic. Valvatorez has a real knack for turning anything and everything that happens to him into something positive. He stopped drinking blood, lost his power and started working as a Prinny Instructor? It's all fine by him because he's learned the power of sardines! Being a Prinny Instructor is his true calling! Never mind what he was in the past. His party needs to fight versus an army of 6000? There's no better way to prove themselves or how far they've come!

    * Dedicated. Valvatorez is truly dedicated to whatever his job is at the moment. As a Tyrant, he was dedicated to his job of scaring humans so they would stay on the good and righteous path. That is what a demon of his caliber was supposed to do. He did it so well that he earned various aliases, such as "King of Carnage and Atrocity" and "Bloodthirsty King of Fear." Essentially he wanted to become a symbol of fear to keep humans in line.

These days, he works as a Prinny Instructor. Even though it's the least wanted job in the Netherworld, he does it with as much vigor and effort as he gave being a Tyrant. If a Prinny slips up around him, he will force them to start their training over from the very beginning, even if it's something minor. Valvatorez will also try to force the Prinny rules on anything that looks like a Prinny, even if it's just a robot. He'll sit there for ten hours trying to get the robot to do as a Prinny should, while his entire party leaves to go do something else.

    Weaknesses:

    * Promises. If he makes a promise, it's an absolutely binding agreement on his end. Four hundred years ago, he broke one because he did not take it as seriously as he does now. Said promise was that he would stop drinking blood until he scared a human woman and that he would keep her safe until he could successfully scare her. Because he couldn't fulfill keeping her safe, he was bound by his own contract that he would never again drink human blood. As a result he lost his power and position, falling all the way down the ranks and becoming incredibly weak in comparison to his past self. He went from being the Tyrant Valvatorez to doing a job that is only fit for the weakest demons, a Prinny Instructor.

Not to mention, for a demon who is completely bound by his promises, he gives them out easily. They can vary from "I will get revenge for you" to "If you can prove X to me I will become your personal servant." Several people point out that with his honor code he should be a lot more careful about what he promises.

He is not careful about what he promises. He will never be careful about what he promises, consequences be damned.

    * Honorable/Prideful. As a proud and noble demon he can not abide by foul play. Even when it would make things much easier. When faced with an overwhelming amount of forces versus his small party, he would rather fight them in a head to head. When his steward suggests sabotage and simply killing them in their sleep, Valvatorez immediately vetoes it because it is not something honorable. A fight should be their forces against whatever forces happen to oppose them without any setbacks on the opposing side. He's more than willing to face an unfair battle because doing otherwise isn't honorable to him.

    * Gullible. He will believe anything anybody tells him. As a Tyrant, his explanation as to how he got away with this was "I'm strong." But even in his less powerful form, he's still incredibly gullible. Somebody says that the whole Netherworld is simply their dream and Valvatorez's first instinct is to completely believe them. The only time it enters his thoughts to doubt anything at all is when somebody else reminds him to doubt.

    Abilities:
    * Turning into a large bat/dragon monster
    * Increased strength, stamina, speed
    * Giving humans nightmares
    * Turning into bats
    * Proficiency in swords and spears
    * He has the basic idea of how to use other weapons
    * Sword techniques
    * Spear techniques
    * Drawing power from drinking blood (though he's forbidden himself from it)
    * Drawing power from eating raw sardines
    * He can drain power from enemies he's defeated
    * If he deals the finishing blow, he can turn an enemy to his side (Tyrant only)
    * He can heal from using specific attacks
    * Create a force field that blocks instant death attacks (Cutscene only)
    * A slight weakness to fire
    * Resistance to ice
    * Poison immunity
    * Doesn't need to breathe

    Inventory:
    * His outfit
    * A sword
    * Exodus emblem (A trinket that signifies demon nobility)

    Vision: Cryo.
Reason: He lost his first love, Artina, and in doing that he also lost his ability to drink human blood. This spiraled wildly into losing all of his power and going from a respected tyrant to a demon with the lowest ranking job available. In a way his entire backstory was marked by loss.
Role: Offensive, he has absolutely no support capabilities.
    Constellation: Tyrant Flughude

    ➤ Character
    Name: Xiao (Alatus)
    Canon: Genshin Impact
Canon Point: Pre Archon quests as preferred!
Age: He appears to be a teenager, but he's over 2000 years old.

History: Timeline, Xiao's wiki page, and (spoilers) data-mined Story & Quotes.

Basic summary: back during the Archon wars when many gods walked the earth and battled one another, Xiao was forced to serve an evil god as their dog of war. He was made to do many things he did not wish to, and was even forced to eat dreams. He was freed during that war by Rex Lapis, and as a result entered into a contract with the god as one of the five Yaksha of the Adepti protecting Liyue. Of those five, Xiao is the only one remaining. He continues to fight the remnants of the evil gods Rex Lapis and the Adepti killed in those wars to this day. While Xiao tries his best to not interact with the humans of Liyue more than necessary (he's not a people person) he's one of the small handful of Adepti who actually still comes down from Jueyun Karst to wander around and do things and occasionally speak to people, lurking around Wangshu Inn in particular - though his reasons for traveling Liyue relate entirely to his task more than any desire to socialize.

    Personality:
    STRENGTHS
Dedicated. Xiao has spent thousands of years dedicated to the same task of protecting Liyue, and seems inclined to spend thousands more doing the same exact thing. He never deviates from or shirks his task, and is by far the easiest of the Adepti to locate and speak with about Rex Lapis and his "death", although Xiao admittedly just fucking leaves to follow up on matters himself when he's done with the conversation even though the Traveler and Paimon aren't quite finished with him. While some of the Adepti removed themselves ever further from humanity, Xiao works alongside it in tandem - separate, but continuously doing what is expected of him without the need for people to ask him for help overmuch.

Caring. Not in the way most people would consider someone to be caring, mind. Xiao isn't warm and he won't be overtly kind to you. But he does seem to be dedicated to his task of protecting the humans of Liyue, and he even makes an effort to try to help Ganyu when she becomes despondent and confused about her role, albeit in his own...Xiao-ish way. He's not caring to everyone, but Xiao does have multiple lines about being willing to protect others and offering to kill for those who cannot. He's spent thousands of years hunting demons for the sake of Liyue - that isn't entirely driven only by duty. While he doesn't understand those he protects and he doesn't totally get the other Adepti, Xiao does still have an interest in them no matter how much he'd deny that and he does pay attention to those who stay in his line of sight.

Practical. While he doesn't really deal with Mora - or any of the problems that come with not having it - Xiao seems to be fairly practical all around. He doesn't let things like the weather or time passing bother him and simply moves from task to task to task. He lives a fairly frugal life with few possessions and doesn't seem to desire for much - or at least isn't willing to speak about what desires he has, preferring to keep them close to his chest. You can at least rely on Xiao not to overreact to things or to be overly reckless, although you can't rely on him for good conversation or like, social skills.

Calm. Again, he's cool-headed. He can absolutely be curt and doesn't seem to have the best social skills in terms of like...not ditching conversations at will, but Xiao doesn't go out of his way to hurt others and he doesn't seem to lose his temper much at all. He's noted by the Wangshu Inn owners to love "peace and quiet" and they seem fond of having him around despite his demeanor. He causes no trouble for others when he can help it, preferring to keep to himself and think things over on his own.

    WEAKNESSES
Inhuman. This isn't to say Xiao is evil or that his morals aren't good, but he lives on a scale of millenia, not years, and doesn't seem to interact with humans as much as, say, Ganyu. He dismisses many things that come naturally to mortals as "weird human things" and seems to look down on them in a way that doesn't seem malicious but is more - he's been around a long, long time and most humans are short-lived and strange and chatty, and he doesn't understand them because despite protecting them from the shadows for eons he has not lived among them like Ganyu (who has human blood to help her out) and he hasn't really observed them to the degree of Rex Lapis (who despite that doesn't totally Get the humanity thing either). Humanity is like a foreign language in which Xiao has a failing grade. He even admits he can't really understand human emotions, although he clearly does have emotions of his own - he's just not really in touch even with those.

Distant. Xiao seems to hold himself apart even from the other Adepti to a degree, despite coming when called and being willing to assist them without (much) complaining. It's partly due to believing his battle is his own burden only and partly to just not being particularly social or certain how to interact with people. While he does pretty much nothing but fight, Xiao doesn't seem to get any joy from fighting. He just considers himself to be a weapon, and he sees everything he does as a way of atoning for the things he has done in his past. He's hard to get to know because he's just not really fond of people in general, despite not seeming to hate people - maybe it's the talking he minds most. He's even tried to foist people (specifically humans he thinks are irritating) off on others...sorry, Ganyu.

Terse/harsh. If you're looking for a people person you haven't found one. Xiao doesn't mince words and he doesn't seem to like to use too many more than he has to at times. He's to the point and can and will just Leave once he's done with a conversation even if the other person isn't done with said conversation. It can make him hard to get to know and hard to get along with, although those who do know him best seem to be capable of getting along with him despite this trait.

Negative. While Xiao isn't the sort of negative where he will tear down every plan you make and bemoan everything, he does seem to brood very deeply on his past and his current work, and gets wrapped up in his own negative emotions. He never seems to let this stop him from keeping on, but it's definitely worth noting that he's got a cynical bent to his thinking. There was a time he was naïve and innocent, but that was a very, very long time ago.

    GREATEST MOTIVATIONS
He's still under contract to Liyue and Rex Lapis, and Xiao will continue that duty until relieved of it (and...probably beyond that). He seems to feel that it is both gratitude and atoning for his sins under the rule of that evil god.

    MUNDANE/TRIVIAL INTERESTS
Xiao doesn't seem to have many hobbies or interests outside of his duty in general. He is fond of almond tofu and apparently appreciates music and would like to dance someday without it being a huge fighting Thing, but otherwise his interests include Personal Space and Not Socializing. Training is an interest, sort of, but it's really more his job and duty so it's not really something he does for fun. He actually doesn't really get the purpose of mundane/trivial interests and expresses in voicelines that he wonders why the hell Zhongli spends all day playing with birds, antiques, and flowers.

    SETTING
He lives in Teyvat so there won't really be any difficulty adjusting to that. As to interacting with new people...eh. He'll be stand-offish, but Xiao operates under a certain Archon's contract and that involves protecting Liyue's people and anyone else that person deems worthy of a charm to acknowledge that (...or just saying so). He wouldn't go out of his way to attack humans even without that, anyway. Xiao is pretty goal-oriented, so he's going to at least work on figuring out what the hell is up even if he'll be sort of aggravated at having to talk to so many people. Let him LIVE, maybe.
    Abilities:
    • Xiao possesses the power of an Adepti. He isn't human and basically won't die unless killed and doesn't seem to age - the downside of this is that apparently human medicine has zero effect on him. He can also presumably shapeshift like the other Adepti but does not choose to do so at any point in the game thus far, sticking to his edgy teenager aesthetic. Adepti have a variety of other powers that are only touched upon in game, including sub-space creation, sigils, etc - Xiao presumably has some knowledge of these things but does not seem to be an expert or particularly interested in them. You probably want Cloud Shaper instead for that (though he can make a mean battle trial...but that's like, all he's shown to do). The only reference he makes to ever making any sort of Adepti thing besides a battle trial is an "Adepti amulet" he gives the traveler on their birthday in his voicelines. Not as a PRESENT, mind. Just...an amulet.

    • Xiao is absolutely a combat expert. He's strong and blindingly fast in battle, and some of that can absolutely be attributed to his status as an Adepti although some of it is also 2000+ years of nonstop battle experience and training.

    • He's an anemo vision holder who uses a polearm. His attacks are based around lunging and plunging and his kit is pretty straightforward. When he dons his mask and gets Serious, however, his health will continuously drain - though the trade-off is a boost to his stats and attack and changing things to anemo damage. Like other vision users, he does have a degree of elemental sight as well.

    • Assorted miscellany: he's better at climbing than most people, apparently can play the flute, and is very good at abrupt arrivals and departures. Also, he can somehow consume dreams and presumably nightmares. Dreams apparently taste similar to Almond Tofu.
Inventory: His clothes, his mask, and I'm assuming the Primordial Jade-Winged Spear because look, he has it in his official art and he deserves a nice spear in game that I'll never be able to get in Genshin for real. He also has accommodations at the Wangshu Inn, but that's not really on his person, it's just...in Teyvat.

I have read through the FAQ and understand that my character may be required to participate in plot events: Yes.

    ➤ Character
    Name: Elliot Craig
    Canon: Trails of Cold Steel
Canon Point: Post Cold Steel 4
    Age: 19

    History:
    - Wiki
    - Character History written by me

    Personality:
    Strengths
Musical Genius. Elliot has all the signs of a musical genius. He's extremely talented at music, being able to play many different instruments (his main ones are violin and piano). But beyond that, he's capable of memorizing rhythms after hearing them once and master new musical concepts in a very short amount of time.

Hardworking. He recognizes that natural talent only gets you so far, so he's also extremely devoted to mastering things he deems relevant. He'll practice for hours on end, whether it be with music or with magic or something else. He's something of a perfectionist, so he holds himself to an incredibly high standard, and won't settle for anything less.

Gentle. Elliot is a gentle, empathetic and kind person. He's thoughtful to the feelings of others and does his best to help wherever he can. While he's not above the occasional snarky remark, he's usually the nicest of Class VII. Forgiveness comes easy to him as well, such as when he welcomed Crow back with open arms despite everything that happened. He has no deep reason for being so kind, in fact he even admits that he likes helping people because "that's just who I am".

Willpower. As gentle and anxious as Elliot is, beneath the surface lies an iron will that's only hardened as time's gone by. Despite being a musician that'd rather be on a stage than a battlefield, Elliot always rises to the call to fight for what's right. Once he figured out the path he wanted for himself, he refuses to let anyone take it from him. And even though he's from a violent world full of constant battles, he's determined to to heal hearts and bring peace with music.

    Weaknesses:
Anxiety. It's safe to say that Elliot is almost constantly feels some level of anxiety. The list of things he's scared of would go for a very long time, and it's likely he suffers from some anxiety disorder. While he's gotten better at managing it as he's gotten older, the feelings haven't gone away. Under enough stress, it can still get the better of him.

Non-Confrontational. Elliot dislikes conflict and tries to avoid it where he can. This can be from fights or telling someone that they're annoying him. This can be a problem as it'll lead to problems getting prolonged. He has gotten a little better at that, recognizing that sometimes he does have to fight for what he wants- but his first reflex is still to avoid conflict where he can.

Perfectionist. Elliot is an extreme perfectionist when it comes to crafts he's invested in. This can lead him to do things like overwork himself if allowed. According to his sister, he'll stay up all night working on music if you let him. This can also impact his working relationship with others if they aren't willing to put in the same level of commitment. To give you an idea, friends who worked with him have described him as a "drill sergeant" and many seemed a little scarred by the whole experience. He truly is his father's son.

Low Self-Esteem. Unsurprisingly for someone who is affected by anxiety and a perfectionist streak, Elliot has really low self-esteem when it comes to his own skills. He is quick to degrade himself, and very slow to sincerely accept praise. He is extremely talented, but you'd never know it by talking to him. Thanks to his friends, he's been working on this the past few years so he's more confident than he's ever been -- which means he sounds very modest rather than just outright tearing himself apart. Yeah. It's still a work in progress.

    Greatest Motivations
As an adult, Elliot wants to heal hearts and bring peace to his world with the power of music. Traveling all over Erebonia and fighting in two wars, Elliot's seen a lot of suffering. All these experiences left a strong impact on him, forcing him to grow up much faster than most. But instead of letting it break him, it caused him to find and strengthen his resolve. Music has a power of its own, and he understands it can change the world in ways weapons never could.

    Mundane Interests
Music is his main passion, and also his main activity. Besides practicing and performing, he enjoys giving music lessons to children and learning new instruments. Outside of his music obsession, Elliot likes playing bar games such as cards and pool, cooking, traveling, and gossiping.

    New Situations
Step one, of course, is to internally scream.

After that vital step is taken, Elliot likes to get a handle on the situation by interacting with others! He'll do this by seeking out people that are different than him and seeing if he can get along with them. If this succeeds, it'll help him feel less nervous about the situation. If it doesn't, well I suppose he repeats step one.

    Powers:

Orbal Arts. Using a device called an orbment, Elliot can use elemental magic from seven different elements (earth, fire, water, wind, time aka dark, space aka light, and mirage aka whatever doesn't fit in the others). What types of magic he can use depends on his orbment's set up and the quartz he has. Technically you can set him up to use almost any spell but his element specialties are water and space, and his default set-up is usually geared towards healing.

Orbal Staff. His staff works basically like a catalyst where it shoots magic projectiles (bubbles in his case). These projectiles will ignore physical defense. His staff has a special feature to turn into a violin.

Other Magic. Elliot has a few other magic tricks that don't really fit into the orbal art categories. His music can be used for healing purposes and curing curses (if it's not too entrenched anyway). He can also do a soundproofing spell and trap people in a deep sleep or nightmares. How? I don't know. Bards are mysterious, as always.

    Inventory:
    - Violin
    - Orbal Staff (depowered)
    - ARCUS II (aka his orbment, depowered) with the Canon Master quartz (which is a healing/water quartz - also depowered). As for the lesser quartz idk we'll cross that bridge later they're all depowered anyway.

    Vision: Anemo
Reason: Elliot is a bard that has dreams for a gentler future for his world, so you don't get a clearer reason than that. Besides that, Elliot has a love for freedom. He likes being able to choose his path, and can get resentful of anyone who forces him a different way. He'd fit right in with Mondstat honestly.

    ➤ Character
    Name: Rean Schwarzer
    Canon: Trails of Cold Steel
Canon Point: Midway through Chapter 1 of Cold Steel 3
    Age: 20 (just)

History: I'm so glad the wiki actually has detailed game info now.

    Personality:

Rean is a warm, kind, and somewhat sassy young man that seems to have love in his heart for everyone but himself. He's selfless, but self-destructive — someone who will always be there to lend a hand, but who can't see how hurting himself also hurts the ones he cares about.
    Strengths

    • Kind and accepting
Rean is a sweet, kind young man. He always seems to have room in his heart for anyone he meets, always offering a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on when needed. While he has his fair share of enemies, he's almost unfailingly polite even to them. It takes a lot to truly set him against someone, and even then, he's very willing to accept anyone who wants to repent with open arms. He always wants to know why people do what they do, and while he won't necessarily forgive any crimes committed, he's definitely more than willing to sympathize if offered a compelling reason.

    • Helpful
If there is a task that needs doing, then by god, Rean Schwarzer will be there to help do it. He either offers himself up or gets offered up as a task gofer so frequently that he's actually become somewhat infamous for it in the towns in which he's lived. He never really argues when he gets volunteered as a helper, either — he might sass gently, but in the end, he'll always take up the task and get it done. He might overload himself, but it's just because he wants others to be happy.

    • Determined
Even before being told to keep going "forward, relentlessly," Rean's never been one to give up. No matter what the odds, so long as there's still some faint hope to cling to, Rean will forever strive towards that goal. It's become harder for him to remain as childishly optimistic as he once was as a cold reality has set in around him, but even so he's refused to fall completely to despair. Even if he can't believe in a future for himself, he'll channel his drive into others, doing his best to push them forward toward the future he's sure must exist, even if he can't exist in it alongside them.

    Weaknesses

    • Self-loathing
Rean loves everyone, but he has absolutely no love for himself. He's very quick to dismiss any compliments he might be given for any reason, and just as quick to add how much someone else would deserve such praise over him. He's also quick to blame himself for things that go far beyond him. He's a failure for not being able to stop a civil war, he's a failure for letting one of his best friends die, he's a failure for not being able to do more to help the people of the nation he helped invade on government orders. While he's certainly not looking to harm himself or worse, he's made it quite clear on multiple occasions that he really doesn't care if he gets hurt — that it's better if it's him, as opposed to someone "less deserving." Worst of all, he seems to have no concept of how hurtful this behavior is for the people who love him.

    • Reckless
If it'll save someone else, Rean is more than happy to throw himself directly into danger. He jumped into a giant robot and overexerted himself trying to protect his friends with it to the point where he was in a coma for a month, he ran directly into an explosion in order to save the life of one of his enemies, and he's almost totally lost control of his "ogre" power after over-utilizing it to save innocent civilians — an act which put him in another (although much shorter) coma. This is, of course, comorbid with the self-loathing described above — he doesn't see himself as being deserving of anything, so he's more than happy to sacrifice himself for what he considers a greater good. And, naturally, he doesn't understand at all why anyone might be angry about such behavior.

    • Over-involved
Bless his heart, Rean just wants to help people, but he also has no idea when to give people space and let them grow on their own sometimes. This shows most severely with how he treats his new students in his new role as a teacher — he's practically a helicopter parent with them, despite how they've repeatedly voiced that he should maybe back off a little. He's not any better with the students who aren't in his class. Sure, the school is short-staffed, but none of the other teachers doing rounds stop to talk to every single student and make sure they're doing okay every single night! It's going to be okay, Rean. Just let the kids be kids. You aren't even that much older than them.

    • Dense
Woe unto anyone who grows to love Rean Schwarzer, in any sense, because he will never realize it. You could cry and scream and tell him you loved and cared about him directly to his face, and at best he'd be kind of confused about it. He has had other people's crushes pointed out to him, and he's just kind of blinked and asked what they were talking about. Even just platonically, as mentioned before, he just can't understand why people would be mad about him putting himself in mortal danger. Rean's great at the giving part of a relationship, but absolutely horrible at taking, and it can be intensely frustrating to deal with.

    Greatest Motivations

    • The happiness of others
More than anything else in the world, at this point, Rean just wants other people to be happy. While he's still trying to find happiness for himself, it's clear that he's chosen to dedicate his life to something larger than himself. He's willing to work for the government, even though he clearly detests his work, solely because it will keep people safe. Even his current position as a teacher, even though he didn't really seek it out so much as it just fell into his lap, reflects his goal. He wants to work to make others happy, because doing so is the only worth he can find in himself.

    • Finding himself
It's definitely not as big of an issue as it was when he first enrolled in the military academy, but Rean's definitely still struggling to find a place for himself in the world. He's a famous war hero now, and he aggressively does not want to be. With fame chasing at his heels and the shadow of his government work looming over him, he's having a very hard time just settling down and figuring out this whole "adulting" thing, and it's clear he'd love nothing more than to do just that.

    Mundane Interests

    • Sword training
Rean wakes up stupidly early every morning to practice his Eight Leaves, One Blade style sword techniques. His interest isn't confined to his own style, either — he's fascinated with every style of swordplay. Sparring with those of a different school of swordsmanship or even just watching them train is definitely a great joy of his.

    • Fishing
While he may have stumbled into the angler life through one of his many sidequests, Rean genuinely seems to enjoy fishing. He's always looking for good places to catch fish, even in some... odd places. Like, who looks at a waterway in the tunnels of an old schoolhouse and goes "man, this looks like a great spot to fish?" Rean Schwarzer, that's who.

    • Eastern culture
Listen, there's no putting this nicely: Rean is the Erebonian equivalent of a weeaboo. He knows Eastern tea ceremonies, Eastern green tea is his favorite, all of his best recipes have an Eastern flair to them. A ramen stall in another country (well, formerly another country) knows him by name. There's no saving him now.

    • Cooking
Rean's certainly not the best cook in the world, but he does seem to take pleasure in hunting down and trying out new recipes. Sometimes, the results are glorious (and decidedly Eastern... the boy took a perfectly normal pizza recipe and made it teriyaki). Sometimes, he turns onion rings into tear gas. But at least he's having fun, right?

    • Lesser hobbies
Rean doesn't engage in some of the hobbies he had as a child all that often, but he's definitely still got some interest in them. Among these are things like playing the lute, chess, and snowboarding. He's a better snowboarder than he is a lute or a chess player, but it really doesn't take much prodding for him to try any of those things again.

    New Setting

Anyone's natural first instinct if they found themselves somewhere completely unfamiliar would be to panic, but Rean certainly wouldn't let that control him for long. He would probably immediately set out and try to get a grasp of his new surroundings. He'll probably immediately try to engage with anyone else he finds, hoping that by asking questions he might figure things out. He's probably going

And, you know... if anyone happens to need help... he might just get a teensy bit really distracted and try to help them, too. Old habits die hard.

    Abilities:
    • Eight Leaves, One Blade sword training: There are eight different forms of the Eight Leaves style. Rean dabbles in all of them, but he's starting to gravitate toward the seventh form, Void. Still, he has a ways to go before he's a master at his craft.

    • Ashen Awakener: This will almost certainly never come up, but Rean can pilot a giant robot. His name is Valimar, and he's a bro. He's also skilled at piloting any type of similar machinery, as an extension.

    • "Ogre" powers/Spirit Unification: Rean has some kind of ultra-dimensional power inside of him that likes to come out and play whenever people he loves are in danger. It turns his hair white, his eyes red, gives him cute little fangs, and is strong enough that it let a 9 year old boy gruesomely murder a giant bear with a brush machete. Rean used to fear his power, until he got control of it... then he over-used it, and now he lost control of it again. Whoops!

    • Orbal Arts: Read: basically magic, but also not magic because this canon makes sense. ...Okay, he's not very good at using his magic rocks, but, like, theoretically. He can throw a fireball every now and again, as a treat. (But seriously, he's magically useless.)

    Inventory:

    • The clothes on his back, obviously - likely his teacher's uniform.

    • His tachi

    • His ARCUS II, which is basically a magic cell phone with magic rocks in it that connects people with the power of magic friendship. It's depowered, though, of course.

    Vision: Cryo
Reason: Not long before his canon point, Rean lost a close friend of his in battle. The loss has hit him very hard — the memories seem to follow him everywhere, and he's definitely struggling with survivor's guilt. He promised to bring his wayward friend home, he failed, and now he has to live in the aftermath of it — except he's still grieving so deeply that he struggles to even say his friend's name.
Also, Rean does have a lot of love in his heart for the people he holds dear and the world around him as a whole. He'd gladly get hurt, die, or worse if it meant that those he loves could find happiness.

    ➤ Character
    Name: Figaro Garcia
    Canon: Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku
Canon Point: after Magic in the Air; a Flower in your Care (1st anniversary event)
Age: Looks and claims to be 32, is actually 2000+

History: Story translations can be found here and here.

    - Figaro was born around 2000 years ago, but not much is known about his family because they all died in an avalanche that swallowed his entire hometown. He had to roam the world before a pair of peculiar twin wizards, Snow and White, took him in and taught him all there is to know about magic.
    - The twins had also taken in Oz, a wizard with exemptionally strong magic, and while Figaro initially suggested they kill him, he helped take care of him anyway.
    - While Oz came and went from their little group, they kept encountering each other many times for centuries. It was then that Figaro suggested that Oz should take over the world to fill the lonely void in his heart, and so they did.
    - Figaro and Oz set up a lot of bases and killed a whole bunch of stronger wizards, though Figaro had to spare Shylock and his bar because the latter gave him sound advice (and also because he liked the drinks there, smh).
    - Oz then heard the news that Snow killed White out of self-defense after fighting with one another, and had to stop conquering the world out of grief and returns to the North. Figaro had to find another way to pass the time, and with the news that Snow was able to tie White's soul to himself as a ghost, there might be hope that they can go back to the way they used to be.
    - With Oz's tyranny coming to a sudden halt, wars were beginning to break out worldwide as the previous Central monarchy fell. Faust, a young wizard who aimed to revolutionize the world together with his human friend Alec, sought Figaro out for magic lessons and Figaro took him in for a year.
    - But right on the brink of victory, Figaro suddenly ghosted Faust and the revolution effort and left him to burn at the stake after being betrayed by Alec.
    - He settled down in the peaceful Southern Country and became a small-town doctor after that, but he was still up to no good - such as capturing Bradley, the leader of a notorious bandit group, in order to show humans that good wizards can catch bad wizards and punish them :)
    - He also killed a wizard at some point and stole their surname just because it has a good ring to it??? Insane, but he ain't wrong
    - He'd also helped in taking care of Arthur, the young wizard Oz had chanced upon in the North (and the crown prince of the Granvelle Kingdom Kingdom), after initially suggesting that they kill him to prevent him from becoming Oz's weakness (wow deja-vu)
    - The twins predict that the second son of Figaro's witch friend, Tiletta, is going to kill the Sage's Southern Wizards who were chosen to fight off the Great Calamity (read: the moon) and stopping it from ending their world. Figaro couldn't convince Tiletta to abort her child, so the least he can do is kneecap her son's potential by refusing to teach him magic and giving him a spell that's hard to pronounce. He does watch over Tiletta's children, named Rutile and Mitile respectively, after she passes away after giving birth to Mitile.
    - Aaaand then he's summoned as one of the Sage's wizards anyway, whoops. This is where the main story comes to play.

    Personality:
    + KIND
Figaro is a bit of an anomaly in the North, who usually operate by themselves, for themselves. While most Northern wizards are aloof and intimidating, Figaro is one of the only ones who enjoys helping wizards and humans alike. Even driving an entire species of venomous bird to extinction with little remorse is an act of kindness to him, because he'll always choose the side of humans rather than the monsters that he's been compared to.

    + RELIABLE
Ever since he was a child, Figaro was already serving to protect humans in the harsh Northern climate. Figaro is awfully dependable in every era and place he's been in, and is shown to be very good at taking care of and teaching people, with how he took care of Oz when they were still in Snow and White's guidance (and Arthur when Oz took the little boy under his wing) and how he practically raised the Flores brothers in the South where he ended up as a village doctor.

    + INTELLIGENT/PERCEPTIVE
Snow and White often note how Figaro is a clever boy from the time they took him in as a kid. He has to be, if he's able to survive their herculean lessons. Despite coming off as a goofy drunkard at times, Figaro is a decent teacher to his fellow Southern wizards - and Faust, during the revolution. He observes people rather closely, and he could even manipulate people without using his magic if he wants. He's also a quick thinker if the situation calls for it and his methods to get things done can be a little bit unorthodox, such as cursing his blood in order to render a monster immobile when consumed.

    ~ ARROGANT
This is a double-edged sword because it can be hard to spot at first if one does not know Figaro's origins well. Figaro is well aware that he's a good person who does all these good deeds, and you will acknowledge him for it. He always makes it a point to bring up how nice and kind he's being to anyone who's around, which can get pretty annoying, and his humblebragging can turn into outright bragging if he's not checking himself. He is a rather capable wizard after all, despite wanting to appear meek to everyone else.

    - LONELY
Wizards are no strangers to solitude with how the world and its inhabitants treat them, but Figaro knows nothing but solitude and embraces it. Sure, he's surrounded by a lot of acquaintances, but Figaro often comes and goes other people's lives, never staying in one place for a very long time. He thinks that there's no good reason to be attached to anyone in the first place, as someone who's lived for thousands of years old and has seen a lot of his friends die over the centuries. He has been seeking for a branch where he can perch and stay for a little longer and he seems to have found it in the South with the young wizard brothers, but even then he doesn't open up to them despite practically raising them after their parents' death. And all of these lead to...

    - ENVIOUS/JEALOUS
Having grown up with a pair of twins who never had to know loneliness in the first place, Figaro yearned to love and be loved like that in return, but he doesn't know how to go about it. Wizards are strange in that they get hyperfixated with a very specific thing, and in Figaro's case is love - particularly becoming someone's one and only. He simply doesn't understand that apparently people can have other friends aside from him, or that it's normal to mourn for a friend who'd betrayed them, and it frustrates him. In fact, whenever someone or something gets in the way of him and his favorite people, his first impulse is to set out and eliminate the hypotenuse. Although he doesn't actually go out and kill them, but rather he'd give them a choice between him and that other person - and the unfortunate thing is that the people he's come to cherish will never choose him over the other. He's also noted to be very quick to let go; he'd ditch someone at a drop of a hat if they show no interest in him at all, before the other party lets go of his hand.

    - SELF-PRESERVATION
Figaro would do anything not to lose the ones he's grown to love, which is very far and few between. This trait also falls in line with his jealousy issues, but it also applies to how he had to go at lengths to staying alive a bit longer. You'd have to be a little fucked up in the head to suggest to your witch friend not to give birth to her second child after all, even if it's for a good reason. And speaking of that child, Figaro had also gone out of his way not to teach Mitile strong magic in fear that he might actually kill Figaro and the rest of the Southern Wizards as stated by the prophecy seen by the twins, and has maintained a lie of being a clumsy "daddy-next-door" figure to him and Rutile to earn their trust while not opening up to them himself.

    GREATEST MOTIVATION
To love and be loved. Figaro has lived an excruciatingly long life and has never known love, and even though he puts everyone at arms' length, he still wishes to experience it - especially before he dies. If his death is going to be inevitable, Figaro would want to go out having accomplished something in this world and to be able to connect with someone on a special level.

    MUNDANE INTERESTS
Figaro sure loves to drink! He is also a great dancer and is pretty lively at parties. He also likes to travel to faraway places. He is also a bit of a flirt, but with his terrible commitment issues it rarely ever goes anywhere if at all.

    NEW SITUATIONS
As someone who's well-travelled, Figaro is quick to adapt in any situation, eerily calm regardless of the situations. He would build camaraderie with anyone but would also investigate on his own about their whereabouts.

    Abilities:

    - WIZARD: Wizards in MahoYaku use their hearts to perform magic, so there must be a right balance of a wizard's own spirit and the environment they surround themselves in. The clearer a picture they can form in their mind, the more likely their magic will succeed, and a wizard can do typical enough magic like levitation, transformation, flight - any form of magic under the sun so long as they know what they're doing. A wizard can also use their personalized magic spell to tap into their inner magic, and utilize their magic tools to help enhance it further.

Still, it's all dependent on a wizard's strengths and specialties though, and even magic can't do the impossible such as bringing back the dead to life, time travel (freezing time is possible for a few moments though), and making something out of nothing (except sugar; a wizard starts out learning magic by making sugar first and it's not as easy as it looks). But the most important catch is that — if a wizard makes a promise and they break it, they will lose their powers forever.

Lastly, despite the fact that wizards can live for thousands of years, they aren't completely immortal and they turn into mana stones when they die - precious jewels that can be eaten to bolster a wizard's magical power or even power some of the magical technology in their world. Moreover they can sense their impending death, whether it'll happen tomorrow or a couple years later. Figaro already knows his time is coming, and even the identity of the person who'll be responsible for his death - but who knows when that'll actually happen.

    - HEALING MAGIC: He is a doctor in a magical world, so it's natural that he'd be able to patch someone up with magic. Southern wizards excel in spells that bring about blessings and peace, but while Rutile and Mitile specialize in healing magic and potionmaking respectively, Figaro is the only one in the current cast of Sage's Wizards who can completely heal someone from the brink of death. And this leads to the next point which is...

    - OFFENSIVE MAGIC: As a wizard originally born in the freezing North, Figaro is blessed with exemptionally strong magic power (which he currently tries to hide in the present day due to various reasons). He can do things like throwing energy balls at the target and manipulating the elements around him, he can merely kill something on the spot with a snap of his fingers (like an entire species of bird) or even pull off out-of-the-box ideas like the aforementioned blood-cursing.

    - MIND CONTROL: His specialty magic. He can instill fear onto people in order to repair their damaged souls, induce sleep to someone to make them rest, and even wipe their memories clean. He can only use this particular power on wizards who are weaker than him, and there will be an opt-in post for this one.

    Inventory:
    - his broomstick
    - his amulet, a magical trinket that reflects a wizard's mana area so that they can recharge their magic when they're away for a long time.
    - his orb, which is a magic tool that enhances a wizard's magic.

    Vision: Cryo
Reason: Figaro had lost his family at a very young age and was still hung up on it to the point of almost drowning in the freezing ocean as he tried to follow the moon's reflection in the water, thinking that his parents and the ones that came and went in his life were residing in the moon after death. Moreover, as a wizard he has a #complicated stance in love; he yearns for it so much yet is awfully afraid of it, hence his immense jealous streak. He also loves humanity, and he strives for a world where humans and wizards can finally get along.
Role: Healer at first glance, but a mad DPS if he chooses to unleash his true potential. So an offensive healer, I guess?
    Constellation: A heart :)

    ➤ Character
    Name: Ningguang
    Canon: Genshin Impact
Canon Point: Post Chapter 1: Act 3
    Age: 25

    History: Personal & Local

    Personality:

    ♦ Strengths
Orderly. Ningguang is known for maintaining order and acts accordingly herself. Her actions are well planned and executed with the resources available to her. She dislikes waste and seeks to make the best use of the assets available to her, because that too is where the profit is. Acting without some manner of plan in place is simply not her style. Being reckless or spontaneous is risky. Rather than take those risks, she is the sort who would take measures to prevent losses in advance, before things even got bad, than wait to be in a situation where she has to scramble to fix an unfavorable position. Likewise, putting policies in place so people know what to do in certain situations by thinking ahead and looking for all eventual outcomes in preparation.

Wisdom. The Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing has her finger on the pulse of commerce; studying the flow of money through businesses and trade. If there is a good opportunity to make money, she is quick to find it. Her ideas and planning are considered amongst the masses to be quite valuable, as there are rumors that getting ahold of one of the writings from her drawing board is a token of good fortune. She is intelligent and capable of great calculation. But her intelligence does not end with business, though it is what she is best known for. She is perceptive of people as well and has her eyes on the social growths of Liyue as well as it's economic values.

Dedication. As a professional businesswoman, she puts in a great deal of work and effort, all for the sake of Liyue. She earned the respect of the people over time through her diligent work ethic and the results from it. While she has a very talanted staff to support her, even as the Liyue Qixing's wealthy leader, she never rests on her accomplishments. She continues to be ambitious

Even-Tempered. It is easy to see why people respect her-- she speaks intelligently and treats the people with respect and good will. She is not the sort of person to often lose her calm composure or become frustrated. Despite her position putting her in a place of great power, she is a reasonable individual and will hear others out or offer her insight or assistance as she is able.

Know Your Enemy. One thing Ningguang is confidant about in regards to winning is that to have the advantage, you must be the first to know your enemy. She is skilled in analyzing people and keeping tabs on her opponents. This too is a part of her drive to gather information on the ever-changing city and it's monetary flow. The same goes for enemies of the nation itself.

    ♦ Weaknesses
Image. There is a certain image she projects to those who do not know her personally. It is formal, to match the respect that her position demands. While it is not exceedingly harsh, there is a distance she puts between herself and others when she upholds this image; making it harder to get to know her without delving a bit further.

Rule-Abiding. As one who embodies law and order in Liyue, the act of rule-breaking is one such thing that she cannot abide. And in chosing the path of the straight and narrow, there are also limitations that places on her. Profit is not to be gained by unlawful measures and she cannot abide others using those methods either. Coming from a land that places a great deal of importance on contracts; her word is as good as law. So whether it is for better or worse, she will stand by it.

Wealth. A very good portion of her work has gone into amassing a great deal of wealth. And while she does not needlessly flaunt or waste it, there is a certain single-mindedness to her ambition that borders greed. In her mind there is no reason not to seek greater wealth, as there are many important uses for money and even if she doesn't need it now; in the five or even ten year plan, it is always good to have more to invest, as well as a proper safety net. If a path would lead to great gains there are any number of expenses she'd be willing to risk, depending on the figures. And that can be dangerous.

Driven. Her ambitious nature lends her to being a very busy person. If allowed to go unchecked, it is not unlike her to forget to slow down and take the necessary rest from time to time. Her mind, in particular, is always busy thinking of the things that need to be done. Having a staff to support her is her one blessing in that regard, because her ability to manage and share that workload is very good. However, she is still incredibly serious and tends to push herself; both physically and as an intellectual.

Serious. Ningguang is not the most social outside of a work environment. While she is comfortable enough with others, aspects of socializing such as idle chatter or recreation are not her strong suits. If you want someone to talk about the ins and outs of the economy or offer you insight on future stocks and business ventures then you'll most certainly find your conversations with her to be enlightening. If something that dry isn't your style though, you may find her a bit more difficult to engage with. Not for any lack of friendly, sisterly vibes but-- because those topics are simply her life.

Value. Of all things, she considers her time to be very valuable. She dislikes the idea of wasting time just as much as wasting money. If you're going to ask something of her, she expects that you will bring something of value to the table as well, whether it be strength, information, money or so on. Because she is aware of her own skills, she has expectations regarding how her time and skills are put to use as well as for whom and to what end.

    ♦ Greatest Motivation
First and foremost she seeks to guide Liyue into a new era; one that is created first and foremost by the hard work and effort of the people themselves. She wishes to see them thrive and grow as a nation, not throwing away their past but carrying what they've learned from it and shaping it from there themselves. She seeks to continue to provide her services to support their economy and maintain peace-- Making money in the process, of course.

    ♦ Mundane Interests
When she's not hard at work turning her skills into cold hard cash, she does enjoy a game of Liyue Millenial from time to time. It is a form of chess that she herself invented, using Liyue landmarks and changing rules from game to game as she pleases to keep things interesting.

    ♦ New Situations
Ningguang uses her head first and foremost. She has a strategic mind that will seek first to gather information and in the process, begin to put together the options available to her as well as make note of several other aspects including goals and threats that may arise. She is also prepared to take the lead if neccessary, either temporarily or in the long term, for those who require or look as though they could use guidance.

    Abilities:

♦ Ningguang is not a physical fighter and requires the use of a catalyst to deal damage to her enemies. Close range fighting is dangerous for her-- she's more effective fighting her enemies from a distance and providing support to stronger physical fighters.

♦ Her use of her vision provides her with the ability to use a catalyst to deal Geo damage to her opponents in the form of gem-like projectiles. These attacks can be let off rapid fire at a weaker rate or concentrated to do additional damage.

♦ She is capable of putting up a fairly sizeable screen that will guard individuals from enemy projectiles as long as it endures. How long it remains is based entirely off of her total health. The construct cannot be climbed.

♦ Those who pass through her shield screen gain a boost to their own Geo powers for a period of time.

♦ She is also capable of locating nearby ore veins. In game, within a certain radius, the map will show the location of different ores including Iron Ore, White Iron Ore, Crystal Ore, Magical Crystal Ore, and Starsilver. However, she does not have the strength to mine it-- she can only tell you where it is.

♦ Ningguang is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to economy, trade and commerce. She is accustomed to studying the ebb and flow of money within Liyue in order to ascertain trends in spending which affect prices.

Inventory: Her clothing, the Prototype Amber Catalyst, and her Vision.

    ➤ Character
    Name: Rose (born Ahna Qeido)
    Canon: FFXIV (WoL OC)
Canon Point: Post 5.0/ Upcycle CRAU
    Age: 25

    History:
I can give her personal history upon request, if needed!
    ARR + Patches
    Heavensward + Patches
    Stormblood + Patches
    Shadowbringers

She is also a CRAU from Upcycle, where she experienced many lovely things, such as 1) nearly being killed by the reanimated corpse of someone who died in front of her in canon, 2) saved a bunch of people from drowning and then had an existential crisis at the bottom of a lake for a few days, and 3) nearly got killed by an old woman with a cleaver because she is very bad at sewing.

    Personality:
    Strengths

First and foremost, Rose is very loyal. She warms up to people slowly, but the people she feels close to, she’s very ‘ride or die’ for. Rose is afraid of death and doesn’t like putting herself in situations where she might be put in danger, but if she had to sacrifice herself to save someone she cared about, she would. She would do it if only because she couldn’t imagine her life without them.

Rose is also very persistent and adaptable, especially considering how coddled she once was. Being the Warrior of Light has put her in many a strange situation, some of which left her with (what she felt like) was no way out. She’s still alive...somehow, and that’s a testament to her ability to change with the circumstances, for better or worse.

She doesn’t want to admit it, but Rose is very compassionate and helpful. For her first couple years as the Warrior of Light, she fought primals because she felt that it was the only way to keep her friends and family safe. However, as she served in the role more, she began to have a habit of helping others, even people she didn’t know. If one were to ask her, she would say that she’s not going to go out of her way to help someone she’s not close to. In practice? She will almost certainly assist. There’s no better example of this than the flood event in Upcycle where she helped and saved several people, even though she had hardly met some of them.

Finally, Rose always speaks her mind, for better or worse. This is as much a flaw as it is a strength, but Rose isn’t afraid to say when she’s doing a job because she’s been asked to do it and doesn’t have a choice (as opposed to doing something out of the goodness of her heart.

    Weaknesses

Rose’s biggest (and most apparent) weakness is her attitude. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, but some things definitely come out harsher than they need to, and she has a habit of pushing people away that she doesn’t know well. She’s also somewhat pessimistic; several endeavors she’s undertaken as the Warrior of Light are ones that she felt doomed to fail, but felt that she had no choice but to undertake (the liberation of Ala Mhigo being the first that comes to mind.

Rose also has a tendency to run from her problems. Rose isn’t conflict adverse, until it’s people she cares about. When given the option of ‘fight or flight,’ Rose is more likely to pick ‘flight.’ A chief example of this is Rose’s attitude towards her family; although she says the reason she hasn’t contacted them is because she’s afraid that she’ll put them in danger, she’s also afraid to resume contact after so long. To her, it’s less scary to never speak to them again if it avoids confrontation.

Finally, Rose can be reckless. Rose prides herself on her calm attitude, but the truth is that Rose doesn’t always think through her decisions. When Yugiri came up with the idea of a hit on Zenos, even though she knew it was unlikely to succeed, she joined in, thinking it their only shot at victory. She also has a bad habit of going out to drink alone, despite being such a public figure and hero. She knows, she’s putting herself in danger, but she wants to retain any control over her life that she can, and to her, this is the best option.

    Motivation

Rose’s greatest motivation depends on her canon point. After Upcycle, she has two primary motivations. The first is that she wants to go home. While she doesn’t want to go back to being the Warrior of Light, she is worried for her friends and their safety. Also, she misses them.

Second, she’s worried about surviving. This was true at the end of 5.0 (when she nearly died), and it’s also true after Upcycle where she was nearly chopped in half by an old lady with a cleaver.

    Mundane Interests

Before becoming Warrior of Light, Rose’s hobby was sketching and painting. She preferred to sketch landscapes and flowers (hence where why she chose the name ‘Rose’). She has an interest in fashion, and a habit of spending her off nights at bars.

    Attitude Upon Arrival

Rose is the type of person who typically, when put in a jamjar setting, would resent being taken from home and be hesitant to warm up to people. And she was! When she first came to Upcycle.

Upon arriving here, however, she will be a little more cheerful. It sucks that she’s still not home, but it beats being on fog death island.

Also, either because she’s more relaxed or because Upcycle has taught her the importance of making friends, she will be more likely to warm up to people. Still prickly, of course, but she won’t be as combatitive as she would be if she was taken straight from canon.

    Abilities:
White Magic - Rose can commune with nature to give her access to healing powers and elemental spells. Although some spells can do damage, the primary function of White Magic is healing.
Soroban’s Blessing - She has the ability to breathe underwater. Yes, it’s canon. Yes, it’s kind of dumb.
Machinistry - When applicable, Rose has the ability to wield a gun.
The Echo - Rose has the ability to resist tempering (brainwashing) from primals (gods), as well as to see the planet’s past. The ‘seeing the past’ part cannot be activated at will.
The Blessing of Hydaelyn - Rose has a very special (tm) relationship with her planet/god, Hydaelyn. Likely useless here, even if regained.

    Inventory:
    Her Staff
    Her Gun - Probably depowered.
Her White Mage robes - They have usually have the ability to enhance healing magic, also depowered.
Several hairpins - One is her signature one that she wears normally, one is a gift from a friend in Upcycle.

    Vision: Anemo
Reason: Rose’s primary reason for her negative attitude is her resentment to her role as Warrior of Light. It’s a role that’s weighty that she can no longer escape. Ultimately, she longs for freedom.
Role: Healer/DPS but emphasis is on healer.
    Constellation: A Rose! ...get it?

    Name: Celine
    Canon: Trails of Cold Steel
Canon Point: Post Trails of Cold Steel IV
    Age: 18

    History: link

    Personality:
    ♦ Strengths
Honesty. Celine is not the type of individual to sugar-coat things. If the future is looking grim, she will tell it to you like it is. If she thinks there are things you can improve upon, she will tell you what she sees. There is no encouragement just for the sake of encouragement here. Keen eyes watch and pick out even the tiniest flaws as a way of saying you can do better. Likewise, she won't hide facts from you just because they're not favorable. She would rather see people go into a bad situation prepared then be fooled into thinking things are better than they really are. Harsh truths are all a part of life.

Wisdom. As a member of the Hexen Clan, Celine knows a great deal about the hidden world of magic as well as that of the world of humans, having watched both. And she has the ability to share and pass on that knowledge; offering insight on the past in regards to the future and passing on techniques and abilities that could be useful in various different ways.

Supportive. Despite her honest side, she's also here to provide people with the tools to improve themselves. She understands what it means to not be satisfied with your current state and will do what she can to help others make the progress that they want to see. While she warms up slowly, once she gets to know people, she tends to become quite invested in them.

Loyal. While she can come off as someone who doesn't care much for other people, the truth is that she's extremely loyal and will follow those who befriend her to hell and back, even at risk to herself. Whether there is something she can do at present or not, she will stand by those who has vowed to protect or has otherwise come to care for in order to watch over them the best she can until an opportunity presents itself.

    ♦ Weaknesses
Bristling. Celine is not the best at expressing her honest emotions outright, often hiding behind a tsundere attitude that often includes backhanded ways of saying the nicer things she really means to say. She cares deeply about others and their safety but she isn't good at communicating it openly.

Insecure. Having recently learned that she will one day be the future leader of the Hexen Clan, she has a lot of doubts and worries about her current strength and the progress she needs to make before she will be a suitable replacement for someone as powerful as Roselia. This has caused her to suddenly evaluate herself a lot more harshly and push herself a lot more.

Observer. As a member of the Hexen Clan, they have been tasked with watching over a great many things. As such, most of their time has been spent as observers, not active participants in history. While she is intelligent, she is not always keen on how to interact with situations and is more likely to observe than get involved unless she feels it is absolutely necessary.

Impartial. Given her mission from the days of her creation, she has always had her goals laid out for her. In regards to a lot of outside factors, she doesn't have strong convictions or goals of her own and in many cases, she doesn't feel very strongly one way or the other how things progress. Short of being obviously bad for the people she is bound to protect or the whole world, whether things progress one way or the other doesn't often have a great impact.

    Abilities:
♦ Transformation: She can shift between her cat and human forms at will. Each form has it's perks.
♦ Witchcraft: As a familiar created by the Hexen Clan, she is able to use certain magic spells, not unlike the witches that created her. In the games we see her use a spell to repress and hold back Rean's powers when he lost control of them. It did not reverse them, but rather soothed them enough to keep them from progressing and getting worse. She is currently in training to be the current leaders successor and is capable of doing a number of basic things including purification, barriers and teleportation spells. But she is still in training so they are not at full power yet by any means.
♦ Arts/Crafts: Like any playable member in the Trails series, Celine has access to elemental and physical skills known as Arts (magic) and Crafts (physical). They are newer to her, as she only recently started properly using her human form. But simple things such as a fireball or a spinning claw attack are things she's physically accustomed to being able to use.
♦ Combat: Her combat skills are still in training. Agility and dexterity however, are her greatest assets. Her cat reflexes make her someone who is capable of moving quickly and efficiently in battle, and also allow her to swiftly regain her footing when knocked around. She is not one of the strongest, prioritizing in magic. However, she can use her claws and fists to physically deal damage as well, though it is less effective.

Inventory: Collar, her human form's clothing and the ribbon on her tail.

    Vision: Electro
Reason: Bristling cat and Electro go perfectly together, although her color scheme is also another fair reason. But in general Electro is an element that ties in well with magic use. Lightning strikes quickly and sharply, not unlike her of style of combat.
Role: Support-- she uses magic primarily for attacks, backing up Rean who is the party's DPS, while also offering protection via healing and shielding using that magic.
Constellation: Cat Collar with a Bell

History: The wiki is a husk, so I'll summarize! Here's some translation links to cross-reference, just in case!

    - Rutile's introductory story
    - Translation masterpost, including the main story. Relevant events for Rutile are those with the flower emblem on the side.

    A general summary below:

      • Mahoyaku verse is an anime fantasy land taking place in an anime fantasy land separated into four countries: Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern. Each country has extremely different relationship dynamics between the non-magical humans and the magical wizards, but all are threatened by a world-ending threat called The Great Calamity (IT'S THE MOON) that is fought every year by a group of Chosen Wizards and their isekai'd from Modern Times "leader" (referred to as the Sage).
      • Rutile was born in the Town of Clouds in Southern Country, a (sometimes tough place to live, admittedly) place of harmony between wizards and humans. His mother was a Great Witch called Tiletta and his father a normie human teacher, who remains nameless but was described as both good-looking and kind.
      • When Rutile was five years old, his mother went through a difficult delivery while giving birth to his younger brother, Mitile. Powerful wizards know when they're going to die, and Tiletta was no exception. Knowing her end was near, she prompted Rutile to save his younger brother. Rutile prayed and... somehow saved Mitile's life by giving him some of his innate magical power! The specifics of how this happened are lost on him, but he came out of it with +1 little brother and -50% magic. Mitile admittedly feels bad about this as he grows older, considering Rutile could've been quite powerful like his mother, but Rutile assures him that he gained much more than he lost that day.
      • Prior to her death, Tiletta discussed a promise (protecting her two children) with her old student, Mithra. He promises to protect Rutile and Mitile shortly before the events of above, demonstrating his strength to Rutile by blowing away a mountain, and then later giving him a vanara arm (described as a powerful magical amulet, but the specifics of what it can actually do in Mahoyaku land isn't extrapolated on). Rutile finds strength in this ridiculously extra display, and Mithra is referenced as his "heart's anchor" upon the death of his parents.
      • Oh. Yeah, at some point after the death of his mother, Rutile's dad dies too. Luckily he had the super good role model Doctor Figaro to take both him and his brother in. Though their village takes a very "everyone takes care of everyone" approach that would've ensured their good health regardless, Figaro acts as their direct guardian and (magical and not) teacher. Rutile, following in his father's footsteps, becomes a schoolteacher himself at the age of eighteen.
      • At the age of twenty, Rutile is chosen to become part of the new batch of Sage's Wizards, representing the Southern Country along with Figaro, Mitile and Lennox. The proof of this manifests in a black crest in the shape of a lily on the inner side of his right wrist. They make their trek to the Sage at the manor that serves as the HQ for the Sage's Wizards, and this marks the beginning of the main story.
      • From there, the events in the above links happen. It's all mostly very Monster-Of-The-Week stuff, where the main cast investigates any strange occurrences in the world as a result of the Great Calamity or whatever crazy thing someone in the world is doing. Rutile re-meets Mithra (also chosen as a Sage's Wizard) during this time, who is so much more of a jerk than he remembers, oh my god.
      • He also spent a couple of months in Upcycle! While it was difficult, he got acquainted with some people that touched his heart in special ways, and came to know intricate details about different worlds. He's already been aware of things like this given the Sage's situation in his own world, so that part wasn't much of a shock, but it allowed him to more intimately understand their situation.

    Personality:

        STRENGTHS
      • Patience and Persistence. While not particularly boisterous or as obviously passionate as his little brother, Mitile, Rutile nonetheless possesses an unexpected fortitude and demeanor that allows him to continue to walk forward regardless of life's difficulties. What he lacks in raw magical power he makes up for with an ability to stand up no matter the circumstances.

      • Empathy. Tying into his fortitude, Rutile can be surprisingly stubborn about certain things. While this mostly manifests as the above endurance, it's also illustrated in his ability to get along with others. He doesn't allow a single bad experience to paint his perception of someone else, nor does he allow outside opinions to influence what he himself sees in people. He believes what he sees (not what he hears) and puts himself in other people's mindsets, which allows him to befriend people easily and be much more understanding than the norm.

      • Self-reflective. Rutile is much quicker to look at his own shortcomings than blame other people for his mistakes. Even when angered by Mithra, who can do somewhat thoughtless things... he always looks back on his own inappropriate behavior in a situation, either lamenting that he may have been too harsh or inconsiderate to what Mithra is used to. Though he has his streaks of childish behavior, he's usually the first to outstretch a hand to mend rifts even when he's the one wronged; apologies come even faster when he, personally, is the one that he perceives as having acted out.

      • WEAKNESSES
      • Recklessness. Despite being one of the weaker members of the cast, Rutile is usually the first one to put himself in harm's way to protect people in danger. This need to protect isn't limited to those that are incapable of defending themselves, either. He jumps in front of Mithra, the second strongest wizard in canon, to deflect a magical spell intended to harm him. He puts himself in a life-threatening situation protecting a child he just met. He swears to protect someone with his life even though people are telling him to l e a v e. He's, like, always getting burned or hurt somehow. It makes me tired. It makes everyone tired.

      • Flighty. While studious and absolutely capable of focusing on a task he deems as important... Rutile can also come across as incredibly air-headed and somewhat easily distracted. It's the double-edged sword of being so easygoing... Mithra remarks that this kind of behavior is reminiscent of Rutile's mother, Tiletta, who also enthusiastically took on tasks and got bored easily if they didn't end up being as interesting as originally thought. Rutile displays this when he made a grand show of cutting apart vines with a dagger given to him by Cain, a fellow wizard... but he tried for maybe three seconds before quickly giving up and utilizing magic instead. His more careless habits also show up more easily around Mitile, who is the one who's constantly nagging Rutile to be more ontop of his own tasks (like cleaning his own room instead of helping everyone else do theirs).

      • Selflessness. Though not necessarily a bad trait, I put this as a weakness because Rutile does have a tendency to be so tolerant that it can be a bit of a bane at times. Humans pulling his hair and setting stuff on fire? Try to understand them, it's fine. He can also give people an astoundingly large amount of space... While not a doormat, his temperament is one that can be easily used or played with, as Rutile is quick to forgive. Rutile's also been called out on his physical weakness, and when asked how he intends to protect those he loves when those he tolerates come to hurt them, he was stunned into silence.

      • GREATEST MOTIVATIONS
Rutile's short-term motivators are the health and well-being of those he loves; his more grand, long-term goal is co-existence between wizards and humans all around the world, rather than just simply in his homeland of Southern Country. This could easily tie in to the first motivator, as he's seen the way the persecution of wizards has hurt those he loves (Mitile especially) firsthand.

        MUNDANE INTERESTS
Rutile dips his hands in everything because he's... an idiot... But his main interests are calligraphy, art, and story writing. His deepest love is being creative... which is evident in his art style. While absolutely capable of drawing very realistic scenery that looks just like what he's referencing, Rutile prefers to draw what he "feels". If this means the frog is rainbow and the ground is red and fiery, that's what it is. His main occupation is teaching, so he also dabbles in that on the side as well, even when he's on a world-saving quest...

        THE NEW
Very adaptable, very friendly! Rutile jumps into new situations with little hesitation, as he's the type to dwell minimally on things that either confuse or depress him. He does what he can when he can, and his more perceptive and observant traits means he's quite good at picking out the details of a situation that might be relevant later. His preferred method of investigation is getting to know others, extracting relevant details through discussion and developing a sense of camaraderie to resolve issues through cooperation.

    Abilities:

Being a wizard, Rutile is of course, capable of magic, though he's on the weaker side due to both being a Southern Wizard (who are typically known to be weaker) and also due to his giving up half of his magic to his brother. The applications of magic are rather extensive, ranging from more advanced things such as teleportation magic, to more minor things such as the levitation of objects, charms to seek out certain individuals, blessings, and flight. Think of a major inconvenience in life, and magic sure can make it simpler. One particular beginner spell that all wizards learn is the ability to make sugar, which has the power to aid in recovering from both mental and physical fatigue. Rutile in particular notes his mastery in using healing spells for the treatment of minor wounds.

An important thing to note is that the source of a wizard's magic is tied to their surroundings, and to their hearts. This is why breaking things like promises results in the loss of a wizard's powers, and also why they're particularly sensitive to the setting around them. The importance of the mind and heart in the use of magic is described in canon to be akin to the use of a body when interacting with a particular object -- by visualizing your use of the tool (in this case, the vision of your spell), the stronger the spell will be. Wizards also live much longer than human beings, though they're not immune to death. They stop aging once they reach the pinnacle of their magical power and when killed, they leave behind a mana stone, which you can use to do a gacha pull-- okay, no, it's an object that can be used to enhance magic. The more powerful the wizard, the more powerful the stone.

Despite its flexibility, magic does have its limitations. Rewinding time and reviving the dead is impossible, but one can do something like "imagine time freezing" in order to stop other people's movements... which might make the more uninformed think otherwise. It's really all a matter of imagination and the personal abilities of the wizard.

    Inventory:
      • His "magic item", a green feather pen. Using this, he can enhance his magic and make it stronger.
      • An "amulet", which is an item that reminds a wizard of their mana area (a place of personal importance, which acts as zone of rest), and allows them to recharge. Rutile's is a flower wreath.
      • His broom, for horrible speeding in the air.
      • Some misc. gifts he received in Upcycle... A scarf with an intricate pin, a pair of citrine earrings, and two teacups.
    Vision: Anemo
Reason: Rutile's ultimate wish is a world devoid of conflict, where wizards and humans live in harmony; the current goal he's working to is the creation of a picture book to depict such a world. He also places great value in his freedom, going as far as to voice that he'd much rather die than live shackled down as a burden to someone else (Mithra).
Role: Healing / buff-centered. You wanna go fast? Rutile wants to go fast, and he wants you to go fast too!!
Constellation: A single flower, with feathers instead of leaves at the stem.
