➤ Character
Name: Thanatos, Death Incarnate
Canon: Hades
Canon Point: Post-epilogue!
Age: We're never given an exact age, but as he's a chthonic god... he's thousands of years old, at least? Appearance-wise, though, he looks to be in his mid-20s.

History: Thanatos' Wiki Page (tm) and a Game Synopsis

Personality:
Strengths

dedicated

Think of the Underworld as... a corporation? Lord Hades is the CEO, bossing about his many underlings and demanding efficiency; as the god of death, then, Thanatos is essentially a member of the Underworld's upper management team—and that's a position Thanatos takes very, very seriously. He is, first and foremost, a consummate professional, which means that he's calm! He's respectful! He doesn't have time to waste on others—and this dedication extends to any sort of task that he is given. If you a) need something done and b) want it done well, Thanatos is ya god... because Thanatos won't let anything stop him.

thoughtful

So while Zagreus is quick to butt into the affairs of others in the Underworld, Thanatos is quick to tell him that he may be doing more harm than good—because Thanatos is a genuinely thoughtful individual. "Family troubles, personal relations, and the like... it's sensitive business," he lectures at one point, sounding rather like an Underworld HR rep. "I just worry when we get involved... we can make matters worse." He understands that not everything can be fixed, no matter how hard one tries; he understands that certain things are deeply personal; he understands that sometimes the desire to help is simply not enough, even while he admires that desire in others. He may not be good with others, per se, but he's respectful of them, keeping their wants and needs in mind.

loyal

Death is truly ride-or-die for those he cares for, and nothing illustrates this better than sticking by his childhood friend's side when said friend decided to bust out of the Underworld... without telling him. Being left out of the loop stung, yes, but did that stop him from risking the position he's worked so hard for, throughout the years, in order to help Zagreus? Did that stop Thanatos from going toe-to-toe with Zagreus' father, who just so happens to be Thanatos' respected boss? Not at all. Even when Lord Hades calls Thanatos out for his insubordination, Thanatos stands firm, telling Hades that his "loyalty is not subject to change." Thanatos treasures his work, yes; so much of Thanatos is shaped by his work, and yet, as he considers Zagreus a close friend, Thanatos is willing to put him above everything else.

Weaknesses

aloof

Death, you see, is never really off the clock, and thus Thanatos is constantly holding himself to the highest of standards, be they work-specific or of a more personal nature. He wants to be perceived as a competent, in-control individual; if he slacks—if he allows himself to become distracted by, or to relax with, anyone or anything—then he risks ruining that, just like he risks throwing a wrench in the well-oiled machine that is the Underworld.

awkward

Convince Thanatos to talk—or just, like, hang around him enough for him to begin to feel comfortable—and Thanatos will open up; the problem, however, is that Thanatos is just... not that great at dealing with others outside of his job. He doesn't have much to say? He's better at listening than, say, contributing to a conversation, and when he does contribute—well. He is flat enough, blunt enough, to come off as rude, even when he doesn't necessarily mean to be. He's trying...

bottle it all up

Somewhere above, I mentioned that Zagreus, Thanatos' oldest friend, attempted to leave the Underworld without telling Thanatos—and that hurt? It wounded Thanatos deeply, to the point where, even after offering Zagreus his continued aid, Thanatos felt deeply betrayed. He wasn't quite sure how to express such a thing—or if he should express such a thing, given his coolly professional demeanor, and thus he did his best to bury it. It backfired, of course; he wound up lashing out at Zagreus, throwing out barbed comments to the point where his own mother a) noticed and b) asked Zagreus to excuse her son's rudeness, because anger was not the true source of his, ah, everything, but this is simply how it goes when Thanatos is forced to deal with too many emotions at once. Thanatos is generally good at keeping things under control, you see, but when emotions do hit, emotions hit hard... and he isn't always sure how to effectively handle them.

Greatest Motivation

Thanatos is one of the most important chthonic gods; his work is integral to keeping the Underworld running smoothly, and thus Thanatos' greatest motivation is simply... that? Doing the absolute best that he can do, day in and day out, because slacking means inconveniencing his hard-working boss; it means disappointing his beloved mother; it means paining the mortals he's supposed to be guiding to a peaceful death. It's all unforgivable, in his eyes, and so he frequently pushes himself to his absolute limits.

Hobbies

I'm not kidding when I say that Thanatos is a workaholic. So much of his time is spent shuffling between the mortal realm and the Underworld, leading souls to their eternal resting places; what free time he does have is spent standing by the River Styx, both observing and learning from what he considers to be his rival. He doesn't have hobbies—so it will be exciting, really, for him to develop some in this strange new world. Maybe his new friends can help!

New Situations

Honestly, Thanatos is not the best when it comes to things and/or situations he cannot control. He's working on it? Like, Zagreus has helped him to chill out, but he's still easily overwhelmed; he's prone to shutting down, heading off on his own, because everything is easier to deal with when he has some nice, quiet time to Reflect. This is yet another thing I hope he can work on with whatever friends he makes in this place! He may be older than dirt—literally, probably—but he has plenty to learn from mortals.

Abilities:

  • Divinity - As a god, Thanatos doesn't age, and presumably doesn't catch any sort of illness/disease/etc—but in this game, he'll get to experience what it's like to be a mortal! Exciting.
  • Shifting - Thanatos can instantaneously teleport, like, anywhere he pleases? His arrival is signaled by both a flash of green light and a gong-like sound, which I will honestly use for comedic effect when he eventually regains this ability. Ga-dong...
  • Spidey Senses - As the god of death, Thanatos can sense when mortals are about to die? Or when they do die, because Thanatos is more or less the god of calm death; Ares, Hermes, and the rest see to those who die a violent end, so Thanatos' job is normally tending to the elderly/the sick/anyone peacing out peacefully. He separates their immortal soul from their mortal body, then escorts it to the appropriate location in the Underworld.
  • Marked for Death - Thanatos can fight, when he's forced to; he generally prefers to keep his distance, and thus he has, like, two main attacks. The first one involves him marking one (1) enemy for a targeted attack? It takes a few seconds to activate, and it's essentially a one-hit K.O. The other attack is an AOE-attack, wherein Thanatos casts a circle on the ground; everything within the confines of the circle then take 9999 points of damage after a brief delay, aka it's just another one-hit K.O. Death doesn't mess around.

But that's cheap, so! In the game, WHEN he regains his abilities, his attacks won't be as, ah, deadly. Maybe he can still one-hit K.O. a small-ish animal out in the wild, but for monsters, humans, etc—nah. I'd prefer to play it the same as any character with a melee weapon, i.e. he's quite good with it, and he's quite strong, but his attacks deal a manageable amount of damage. It's something I'd work out with the person(s) I'm threading with!
  • Floating - I feel like I should just... point out that he floats? He rarely walks; he's always hovering, like, a head or so above those around him at all times, because he is stupid. He will want this ability back... ASAP, tbh, because walking on grass is wack.
Inventory:

  • His scythe
  • The sword strapped to his side
  • A bottle of Nectar
Vision: Geo!
Reason: Is there a harder-working individual than Thanatos? Doubtful, honestly, because Thanatos is beyond dedicated to his job. He holds himself to the strictest possible standards, unwilling to disappoint those in the Underworld (his mother, his boss, his coworkers) and/or the mortals whose deaths he oversees—and this, I think, makes him a perfect candidate for a Geo vision. He just... stops at nothing, because he knows just how many beings are depending on him! He refuses to let anyone down, and thus he's constantly telling himself that he can do better, that he can be better.
Role: Sub-DPS, I guess??? He doesn't stay on the frontlines for long; you call him in for, like, one hard-hitting AOE attack and then switch him out for someone else!
Constellation: A butterfly! Thanatos is associated with them—and butterflies represent the soul, in Greek mythology. Very cute.

➤ Character
Name: Hu Tao
Canon: Genshin Impact
Canon Point: Let's go with pre-Chapter 1!
Age: 16

History: Here!

Personality:
STRENGTHS: One of the first things that people tend to notice about Hu Tao is that she has a very whimsical nature. To call her "eccentric" would be putting it mildly; some people dance to the beat of their own drums, Hu Tao dances to the beat of an upbeat funeral dirge. This easygoing nature is easily a strength, however. Hu Tao works as the director of a funeral parlor. Being responsible for heralding souls to the afterlife is a heavy responsibility, and she has to traverse the boundary of life and death on a regular basis. Her whimsical nature and adaptability allow her to carry out this work without breaking under the weight.

Of course, that's not to say that she doesn't take her responsibility seriously. Hu Tao is very driven, especially where it relates to her job. She became the director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor at thirteen, an extremely young age. It's not a responsibility that she feels resentment towards, however. Hu Tao is proud to be the director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, and this is no more clear than when she carries out funeral rites. Hu Tao believes that each funeral should be a personal experience, and tailor-made to the person that its celebrating. When the situation calls for it, she can be uncharacteristically somber, and she strives to ensure that all clients are brought into the afterlife with dignity.

Both her whimsical nature and sense of responsibility are underscored by Hu Tao's stubbornness. When Hu Tao's grandfather passed away, she attempted to follow him to the boundary of life and death. She stayed there for several days, even after she had run out of food, in order to bid him farewell. It was only after a spirit told her that his spirit hadn't lingered---none of the directors of the Funeral Parlor had--that she returned home.

WEAKNESSES: While Hu Tao's whimsical nature is a strength where it relates to her job, it is also something that can distance her from other people. Hu Tao's personality has, to put it mildly, made her appear as off-putting to the people of Liyue. Hu Tao once named a pair of lion statues and proclaimed them her pet cats, and only left when she decided they were "grown up." To Hu Tao, it was a decision that made sense. To the people of Liyue, it was an incident that cemented her as "odd."

Hu Tao also has a tendency to fail to read the room. In certain aspects of her job, she excels. She knows when to let clients in on the "truth" of the afterlife, and when to put on a show. However, due to dealing with death so frequently, she often forgets (or willingly overlooks) how morbid conversations about death can appear to others. One of her recent attempts to help the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor involved her attempting to sell "Buy one, get one half off" services and selling services in bulk to the adventurer's guild. These efforts went over about as well as expected.

Finally, Hu Tao can be a nuisance. As stated before, she has the best of her business at heart, but appears to be eccentric. Hu Tao tends to torment the people around her, albeit on purpose or accidentally. To many, she is referred to as a "troublesome child." On at least one occasion, she's tried to bury an acquaintance, believing that they were dead and wanted to go to the afterlife (said acquaintance was a zombie, and doing just fine).

MOTIVATIONS Hu Tao's primary motivation is serving as the director for the Funeral Parlor. As much as her nature hints otherwise, she tries to do her best while carrying out her duties, and she understands the role she's inherited. To maintain the balance between life and death is an extremely important job, and she does her best to ensure that balance is maintained.

MUNDANE INTERESTS Hu Tao's hobby is poetry. She is known as the "Versemonger of the Darkest Alleys" and spends her free time wandering at night for inspiration. One of her most trusted friends is a fellow author and poet named Xingqiu. Her and Xingqiu are known to get into poetry battles with their fellow friend Chongyun serving as an umpire. She's also written two poetry anthologies, although neither has been published.

Abilities:
Guide to Afterlife
Hu Tao sacrifices some of her health/stamina in order to enter an elevated state. In this state, she's able to attack with Fire and do Pyro damage.

This also allows her to use Blood Blossom, which places a blood blossom on the enemy, damaging them over time.

Additionally, Hu Tao has the Spirit Soother ability which allows her to call upon one of her ghostly friends to hit nearby enemies. When she does this, she also heals herself. Thank you, ghost friends. Hu Tao appreciates you.
Inventory: Harmony Hexagon Hat, Spear of Homa, Vision

➤ Character
Name: Shirou Ogami, Silver Wolf
Canon: Brand New Animal
Canon Point: Episode 12 - Anima City, Epilogue
Age: Looks 23, actually over a thousand years old.

History: History here

Personality:

Strengths

◃ Calm and decisive - Shirou approaches the world rather calmly. He has an all-business sort of approach to life. What can he do to protect those under his protection? What problems need to be chased? He handles what needs to be handled and moves on, not bothering to stick around once the problem is resolved. There are only a few exceptions to this rule, covered below.

◃ Loyal - Once people earn his trust it is difficult to break it. He will begin to actively want them around and show it in small ways like asking their plans and seek them out. If he comes to believe and trust in a government then his skills are open to them with no asking necessary. He will simply be there when needed for once he lets someone in, he is devoted. As a friend and a protector.

◃ Caring - It is because he cares that Shirou steps between others and danger. He will choose the less violent path because he doesn’t want things to come into conflict. When others are hurting he will reach out and offer advice. He does his best to comfort in his own stilted way. It could be something small like offering food or simply sitting nearby.

Weaknesses

▹ Anger issues - When angry it’s difficult for Shirou to stop. Like a runaway train, it keeps going and he barely will stop from going too far. He isn’t fully aware of just how deep his rage over the past goes. When his ire rises he doesn’t listen to reason and is prone to snap decisions. It doesn’t matter how close someone is to him. The moment his anger turns to rage, he’s not reasonable. It's rare he gets this far and all relate to treating others like objects/things to be put down, and threats to his people.

▹ Lone wolf - Shirou sees most plans ending with him standing in the path of danger on his own. He will seek to take the most punishment from attacks and deal with his personal matters himself. He will try to default to this even as talks to other people and builds up contacts.

▹ Guardian role - He has been the protector of beastmen for so long he doesn’t really know himself outside of that. He desires freedom for all beastmen while being locked up in his own role and has trouble seeing himself as an individual. His control over himself is absolute in this matter. He hides his power so other beastmen don’t look to him as a god. But this isolates him even from others of his own kind. It’s safe to say no one has truly known him in eons, even himself.

▹ Cynicism - It is difficult to earn Shirou’s trust. Since the tragedy that made him essentially a god, he has never trusted anyone non-beastmen. Even when someone gives all they have, he will expect the other shoe to fall or for them to side with their own kind. He is always looking for threats and will take on the responsibility without asking for help. He sees the problems before he sees anything else. It’s the double-edged sword that makes it hard for him to see people trying to change or even help him. He is aware of just how rigid he is and has a longing for this to change.

✶ Greatest Motivation
Peace. He has devoted everything to saving the beastmen and being their protector. He will solve the problems in the way of peace by word or by force depending on what is needed. Whether it’s only a little force or putting the full power of the Silver Wolf into it, he will do what he must for peace. In this world, it will be no different. He will fight for the peace that will eventually lead him back to where he belongs.

✶ Mundane Interests
Almost everything he does is tied to his role as protector of the Beastmen. From social work to helping the mayor silently settle matters outside of the laws, he has fully dedicated himself to his people. But it has been noted by himself that he likes baseball.

✶ New Situations
Shirou is going to be off-balance. There are no other beastmen around and he’ll struggle at first to figure out how to process that. But he’s investigated and tracked down problems for as long as he’s been the self-proclaimed protector beastmen and that mindset will be his saving grace. He’ll seek out the answers to the problems and pursue them to whatever ends they come to. As people come to know him and treat him as a person he’ll slowly open up to them. No matter what when people are in danger he’ll be on the front lines charging into the fray.

Abilities:

Note: I’m aware all of this will be nerfed and he can regain it over time. Utterly fine with him reduced to human levels.

☆ Beastman - Shirou is capable of switching between human and anthropomorphic wolf whenever he feels like it. If his emotions are high the shift is automatic even if he just shifted to human. He’s faster and stronger than a normal human. He can crush steel and tear apart machines with his claws or fists. Run up walls and kick off them to get to the top of a building. He favors hand-to-hand combat. It’s a style he’s used for eons. Physically he can be cut and broken just like anyone else. The difference is he can regenerate from it. This difference will be covered in a separate section below.

A wolf beastman, Shirou’s sense of smell is superior among types of beastmen. He can track any scent to its source. For him, scents hold memories and he can see them clearly. It’s how he comes to realize the protagonist’s story about being human is true. If he ever regains this ability, I’ll have a permission post set up for what he can and can’t pick up. As a note - the protagonist does this same sense of smell trick when shifted to wolf. The series never makes it clear if it’s because he’s Transcended that he has it or not, I’ll leave it up to mod judgment.

☆ Transcended/Silver Wolf - When the city of Nirvasyl was slaughtered, the collected blood and will of the beastmen transformed Shirou into an immortal Beastman of great power. When he transforms into a full animal-shaped beast form, he's even stronger and faster than his beastman form. His body seemingly bends to his will, his shoulders becoming blades or wings. He looks a bit like a glowing white wind or a blazing star up above when he strikes targets. When he cuts something pretty much anything has fallen apart. Regeneration is nearly instant for something like a cut, being shot, or broken bones. Being impaled and all takes longer to heal at least a transformation and then rest for a whole day. When he focuses his power through his howl the results are devastating laser.

It's important to note even in his usual beastman form because he’s transcended, he's stronger and faster than the average beastman. Other beastmen can’t fall from a skyscraper into the ground and get back up. Or crush a machine with a strike of their fist. It puts him on equal footing with stronger beastmen types like lions and rhinos. He can even battle a berserk beastman even if he can’t overcome one without going into Silver Wolf form.

☆ Immortality/Durability - Shirou's usually functionally immortal with the souls of the dead keeping him from letting himself die. His previously mentioned regeneration happens in minutes except for grave injuries. Those it seems take at least a bit (he was being really careful for a whole day in canon) unless he takes Silver Wolf form. I understand if this gets permanently locked and am fine with that.

Inventory: His clothes, his cellphone, a wallet (all of the contents now useless), and a leather collar.

Vision: Anemo
Reason: Despite how much Shirou has lost, his vision for the future is a gentle one. He desires for the Beastmen to find peace and be free to be themselves without judgment or fear. As of late that includes being in harmony with humans. He places the responsibility of protecting his fellow beastman solely on his own shoulders. His sense of responsibility and duty to his people has endured for eons preventing him from letting go.
Role: Aggressive tank. He’s used to taking the punishment and continuing to fight on. He won’t change that even when he’s less sturdy. It’s difficult to change what has worked for eons.
Constellation: A howling wolf or a clawed hand.

➤ Character
Name: Sooga
Canon: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
Canon Point: post Astor’s betrayal
Age: I’m going with low 20s, based on the assumption he’s about the same age as Kohga and that Kohga in HW:AOC is the same one as in Breath of the Wild

History: Okay, so starting with history history for important context, ten thousand years ago, a race of people called the Sheikah served the royal family of the kingdom of Hyrule, right up until the king became afraid they would turn on him and thus made them get rid of their tech advancements and go into hiding under threat of violence. This caused the Sheikah to splinter into a group that decided to remain loyal in spite of this, and another that (somewhat understandably) decided “fuck that” and went on to dedicate themselves to eventual vengeance, eventually throwing their lot in with the ancient enemy of Hyrule, Calamity Ganon.

Fast forward ten thousand years and get into some timey-wimey shenanigans and you get the events of Age of Calamity. Maybe when the first DLC drops in a month and a half it’ll explain where Sooga is between the end of Chapter 5 and the credits of the true end…

Personality:
Strengths
- Loyal. Due to their owing their existence to an ancient betrayal, the Yiga value loyalty to their own above all else, and Sooga is no exception. He’s not a blind follower; he follows Kohga because the loyalty he gives is reciprocated, while Calamity Ganon – who he should theoretically worship – gets treated more with the respect one would grant a natural disaster that happens to be somewhat sentient and thus can be encouraged to spare the people he cares for.
- Level-headed. In contrast to Master Kohga’s more impulse-driven nature, Sooga is, by necessity, someone who’s able to keep calm in most situations and avoid disastrous decisions made in panic or rage. Because of this, he ends up being the designated braincell holder for the entire villain team. Yes, all of the villains, not just the Yiga.
- Perceptive. Beyond having solid observational skills, he’s also good at reading people and situations. A good example of this is that he very obviously does not trust Astor even when he’s ostensibly an ally, and is not only later proved correct, but also was correct about the reason for the seer’s eventual fate.
- Honest. Somewhat counter-intuitively for someone who’s a ninja in all but name, Sooga is actually quite honest about his opinions. Generally speaking, he’s quiet about it when he doesn’t want to offend, but at no point in canon does he actually lie to anyone. It’s not that he’s incapable of it, it’s just that he avoids it if it’s unnecessary.
Weaknesses
- Honest. So that thing about honesty being usually considered a good thing? Not always so much, since unless he has good reason to hold his tongue, he will tell people what he thinks of them.
- Bandit and assassin. He has no qualms about theft if it’s for the sake of survival, and is willing to do a murder if someone’s a threat to the Yiga. It’s notable that he does make the distinction between people who are a threat due to circumstance and people who actively wish his clan harm, and is willing to work with the former if circumstances change, but again, he has no problem with assassination.
- Vengeful. Sooga doesn’t care so much about petty slights, but he reacts Badly to betrayal. While less so if the offense is directed towards himself, hurting someone he cares about is liable to get the offender thrown off a building.
- Distrust of authority figures. People in places of high authority are considered highly suspect until they prove their words and intentions line up, deities included.
Motivation
Most of what Sooga does is motivated by the desire to protect, whether it be Master Kohga in the capacity of a bodyguard, taking actions to better ensure the safety of those he cares for, or in the event that he’s alone, taking whatever actions he feels necessary to keep himself safe.
Hobbies
Given Sooga’s personality, his “hobbies” are more vehicles for building practical skills that might be useful to aid others at some point than something wholly for himself. In a new setting, it makes him liable to pick up a number of potentially odd pastimes depending on who he encounters.
New Situations
While disguising himself as a regular traveler off the table initially, Sooga’s first instinct is still going to be to gather information and adapt based on that, making himself relatively unobtrusive in the meantime. This does potentially mean he’s going to ask Forneus to pay him for his help, because he’s a professional and has Standards.

Abilities:
- Teleportation. It’s not so long range that he can just instantly transport himself several miles away, but based on how even Yiga footsoldiers can get far enough to break line of sight and escape even on relatively flat terrain, I’d give it probably half a mile if pressed. It does appear to be fairly pinpoint accuracy as well. It’s also a staple part of his combat style.
- Disguise. This one is actually pretty neat since it’s the logical extension of the historical ninja use of disguises adapted to a world where magic exists, in that every Yiga can fully transform themselves so that they look like another person (ex: travelers), even if the person is a significantly different size and shape. While Sooga does not use this power onscreen, it is, again, a basic Yiga ability.
- His swords allow him to slice the air fast enough that it creates a vacuum that can slice at a distance, and aid in creating brief but powerful whirlwinds if he spins. It’s unclear if the latter bit is an ability of his swords or him, so I figured probably worth mentioning.
- Figured it was also worth mentioning that while his strength is theoretically just on the higher end of what’s possible for humans since he’s trained to do athletic things like do backflips or carry his leader like a sack of bananas, it’s also scaled to the fact that he’s about eight and a half feet tall and built like a wall.
Inventory: Mask, uniform, weapons (two swords, ten kunai), one bunch of Mighty Bananas
Vision: Electro
Reason: Mostly it’s for the fact that Sooga’s second in command in a clan who have being outcasts as a major part of their cultural identity, and he’s actually highly likely to have a dissenting opinion in group settings when not amongst the Yiga, but partially it’s because electricity is the element most associated with the Gerudo, who the Yiga have kinda been in conflict with for a while, so it’d be humorously ironic.
Role: physical DPS with the caveat that he’s most effective as an ambush attacker, but he can function as tank if necessary
Constellation: this though I thought about a bunch of bananas as a joke

Canon Point: End of KH3 RE:Mind & Upcycle CRAU
Age: Technically about 3-4, looks/acts 17, "turned" 18 in Upcycle

History: Here
CRAU: Roxas entered the town of South Sisters in September. The first month was rough with creatures in the wall mimicking loved ones, and the fog overtaking the island so much that it was hard to get around. He at least had Sora there, though even with his former Other now friend there, the young Keybearer had nightmares about the creatures in the wall. October was easier since it was Halloween and the town was nicer and calmer compared to the previous month. November rolled around and Roxas became afflicted by a condition called the Silence. It is a condition where if someone becomes too angry or falls into despair, a creature would posses them and cause the afflicted to become like a puppet. They would attack people called World Speakers, who are people that are attuned to the very world that South Sister was a part of to keep it safe.

This prompted him to contact the Administrator, who advised that the young man start working on his temper and the fact he couldn't sleep. He started becoming more withdrawn when trying to be less temperamental and started relying more on Sora to keep his sleep schedule somewhat normal. The Silence marks was sealed by a few new friends, yet the fear remained since the deep purple mark of the affliction was still sitting there on his wrist. Overall his short time in South Sisters was not too overly pleasant with plenty of people aggravating him and keeping the young man from trying not to be angry. Since the game closed before the Silence could be full ridden from him, there was never closure for that.

Personality:
Strengths
Loyalty. Roxas is a very loyal person to his friends and allies. He is more willing to defend them in fights or from insults, even if it ends up with him on the losing side in the end. This loyalty extends into promises. He holds promises to such a degree that if he breaks one, he does his best to rectify this since he hates not holding himself to them. If someone becomes a good friend of his, they will find someone who is fiercely protective of them.

Caring. He can be incredibly caring. Whether it’s sharing his time or favorite treats or taking on more work so his friends can take it easier, he will do it. If someone he cares for is hurt, he will worry and fret over them if they will let him. He cares more for the well-being of his friends than he does himself, which could become a weakness if anyone chooses to exploit it.

Intelligence. Going from the intelligence of a newborn to becoming a very reliable member of the Organization in a short amount of time shows he is no dummy. He has an easier time seeing that something isn’t what it may be, isn’t easily fooled, and does his best to think things through unless anger gets in the way. His intelligence also translates into battle, making him a formidable foe.

Determination. Roxas is determined to do what he wants that it could also be called stubbornness. When he has his sights on something, he will literally fight to get it. Such as when wanting to become his own person, he was willing to take down Sora to do it till they came to an understanding. There isn’t a lot that could shake his determination unless someone gets very hurt or possibly dies due to it.

Weaknesses
Anger. A temper that comes along with a devil-may-care attitude is one of his worst traits. When angered enough, his anger becomes out of control and difficult to reign in. His rashness, cocky attitude, and flares of temper at times makes him jump into battle without thinking of the possible consequences. Even if he loves his friends, when temper takes a hold, he will lash out at them with words, and regret it a lot later.

Melancholy. Roxas can be prone to bouts of melancholy, stoicism, episodes of solemn attitude, and can become distracted. When he becomes melancholic, he will withdraw from everyone and stew till he’s shaken out of it somehow. If his feelings become overwhelming due to not being 100% used to so many emotions happening at once, he tends to fall into a depression if there is nothing to pull at his angry side instead. He will cry when sad, and the death or disappearance of friends hit him very hard.

Greatest Motivation
Roxas' greatest motivation used to be becoming his own person. Since he's attained that, and partially at the cost of Sora, he now dedicates himself to finding his former Other. With the help of his friends in Twilight Town, he and Xion are letting them sift through the memories they share with Sora to find a hint at where the Keybearer is. Roxas wants to get Sora back not just for the sake of the others, but for himself as well. To become friends with the person who carried him in his heart for so long and helped the former Nobody achieve his greatest dream.

Mundane Interests
Skateboarding and Struggle are two of his favorite past times back in Twilight Town. He's a Struggle Champion after all, and skateboarding is just something he's good at. Eating ice cream with his friends at the end of a busy day is something he looks forward to a lot. While in Upcycle, he also became interested in cooking since he wanted to help feed everyone in the house, and sewing. He managed to make a couple of gifts for friends even if they were very beginner looking projects.

New Situations
Since Roxas is used to traveling to different worlds, he knows not all of them have the same rules. He will quickly adapt to new things even if he will be kind of "?????" as he learns about his new surroundings. He might have some trouble actually wanting to adhere to the rules of the world since he's used to being able to do what the average person can't. Though in order to keep the Order, he will watch and wait to see what happens before acting.

Having his magic and Keyblade taken from him and replaced with a Vision... might not go over well. Being limited when he's one of the strongest Guardians of Light will take a lot of getting used to. He will definitely be grumpy at whatever force has done this.

Abilities:
Roxas technically holds the power of two Keyblade wielder's in his heart as a complete being, and his fighting style and level of power are comparable to Sora's Final Form. He also has enhanced stamina and endurance, which means he recovers faster from being knocked down and can endure long battles. Shown to have great proficiency and skills with the Keyblades, stemming from the two hearts he shares. His fighting style is far more aggressive and relies on brute force when dual wielding, forgoing guards and not using much magic. When single wielding, he'll use magic and guards more during the fight.

During battle Roxas can be seen moving literally as fast as light. He zips around the battle field as a ray of light and delivers a physical blow when he comes out of that form.

List of Basic Abilities:
  • Dual-Wield: Roxas is unique in that he dual-wield Keyblades, his signature Keyblades being Oathkeeper and Oblivion.
  • Glide It: Allows the user to ride the wind and travel over distances in the air. It can be used as a faster mode of transportation than running, or as an evasion technique.
  • Dodge Roll: An ability that lets Roxas roll forward to avoid an enemy attack.
  • Sliding Dash: Quickly closes in on the target to attack.
  • Block: Blocks and bounces back an enemies attack.
  • Haste: Allows Roxas to run more quickly.
  • High Jump: Let's Roxas jump higher.
  • Float: Slows his descent after a high jump.

List of Magic:
Fire Spells
Fire - Launches a homing fireball, which inflicts damage on a single enemy.
Fira - Launches a ball of fire that flies straight forwards and explodes on contact, breaking through enemies' defense.
Firaga - Launches a large ball of fire in an arch, with homing properties, which explodes upon making contact with the ground or a target.
Blizzard Spells
Blizzard - Launches an ice crystal that pursues foes. It can pass through targets multiple times.
Blizzara - Fires a large ice crystal that floats in midair and explodes in a small burst of ice upon contact or after a short period of time.
Blizzaga - Creates a floating ice mine that triggers a large explosion of ice when approached by enemies
Thunder Spells
Thunder - Brings down a string of lightning bolts that travels in a straight line.
Thundara - Hits a broad area with many lightning bolts, similar to Thunder magic in Kingdom Hearts.
Thundaga - Brings down a single, powerful bolt of lightning to strike the target directly.
Cure Spells
Cure - Heals a portion of the user's HP.
Cura - Continues to restore the user's HP over time.
Curaga - Creates an HP recovery field for the user and their allies.
Aero Spells
Aero - Shoots a swift gust of wind at a foe, with some homing capabilities.
Aerora - Shoots a larger gust of wind that slowly stalks the foes across the ground.
Aeroga - Generates a huge whirlwind around the user that pulls in nearby targets.

List of Nobody Abilities:
  • Samurai Nobody: Roxas is able to control these high-ranking Nobodies, even inside of Sora's heart, as displayed before their fight in KHII when he's able to summon them as a distraction to pull Sora into the Station of Awakening. They are calm and poised, taking their time before attacking. Capable of using Duel Stance like their master, they also possess the ability The End, which deals heavy damage if not countered.
  • Corridor of Darkness aka Dark Portals: A means used by Nobodies to travel between worlds or even between points in a world. Not quite teleportation, but still pretty fast. Not recommended for use for anyone without an Organization coat or not a Nobody as it's a corridor through darkness itself.

List of Special Attacks:
  • Duel Stance: A technique where he rushes at his opponent and slashes at them quicker than the blink of an eye, causing intense damage if not repelled
  • Event Horizon: (Single wield limit break) An attack where Roxas rapidly darts around the field with his Keyblade enveloped in light, slashing away at enemies with great strength
  • Final Limit: (Single wield limit break) Summons four thin pillars of light to quickly move in straight paths to ends of the field, dealing heavy damage to any enemies in their path
  • Magic Hour: (Dual wield limit break, KH2 version) Roxas floats and a spell circle with the Nobody emblem appears below him, then he spins both of his Keyblades while firing a great number of homing light orbs

Inventory:
  • Oathkeeper Keychain: A keychain that can be used to summon the Oathkeeper Keyblade. Can boost magic
  • Oblivion Keychain: A keychain that can be used to summon the Oblivion Keyblade. Lowers magic, but possesses a lot of power
  • Twilight Town Outfit: Outfit worn in day to day life in Twilight Town
  • Organization Coat: Helps protect the wearer from Darkness
  • Blue Marble: A blue marble from the Struggle Trophy that Roxas won
  • Moogle Plush: Gift from the Birthday Skeleton in Upcycle

Vision: Cryo
Reason: Roxas has loved and lost a lot. Making dear friends, then having to kill one and almost destroy another. Being forced into a fake world to be used to awaken Sora. In the end giving himself up because he knew he wasn't the one that was needed. Roxas has not had an easy life, yet he still does his best to carry on. Holding all of the pain close as a fuel to get what he wants in the end so he can possibly have a happy life in the end. Learning how to deal with the pain and become more accepting of his situation is a pretty big arc of his in the games.

It also suits him since one of the first spells he learns to use is Blizzard, and his favorite thing in the world is the frozen treat known as Sea-Salt ice cream.
Role: Tank, so offensive, and capable of using healing magic as well as destructive magic. Focus is mostly on just hacking and slashing though.
Constellation: A clocktower bell

➤ Character
Name: Jinx
Canon: Teen Titans
Canon Point: Post-Canon
Age: 16

History: Much of Jinx's life is a mystery to us- we don't know how or when she began attending Dark Way Prep and it's connected high school, H.I.V.E. However, much can be inferred given her intense desire for recognition and her former resignation to villainy due to being "bad luck". It's incredibly likely that her magic over misfortune marked her as an outcast from an early point in her short life, and if you tell a child she is a monster enough times she will believe it.

Over the course of the series Jinx spends her time as a dutiful student to villainy, leading heists across the city and trying to work her way into the good graces of older villains. Driven by pride and ambition, she tries to lead her team to victory time and time again, but rarely tastes it. And despite her devotion to her friends and teammates, when they gradually stop taking things seriously without serious prompting on her part you can only be dismissed so many times. Tempers flared, and another opportunity presents itself in a red-haired boy who can evade her hexes and tells her she's better than this. In the face of a kindness she never knew before and the mistreatment from her own idol, Jinx made her choice to try and be a better person.

And with this decision, she goes unseen until showing up alongside Kid Flash once more in the final battle between the Teen Titans and the Brotherhood of Evil, cementing that she's abandoned crime and her former friends. Though we don't see it in the show proper, in tie-in comics it's shown that she's accepted readily by her former enemies despite insecurities, and Jinx continues on to the path of a hero.

Personality:

~ SARCASTIC - You can take the goth girl out of the evil, but you can't take her out of the snark. Though she's working on being a bit kinder, and isn't lashing out at much, she tends to crack dry remarks about others or the situation. Sometimes it may seem that she's not taking things seriously because of it. Eventually, if she grows to like someone, she'll ease up just for them.

+ AMBITIOUS - Jinx has her eyes on the prize at all times, and the prize is a better life in terms of both quality, respect and love given and gotten. She works hard for her share- yes sometimes working hard meant stealing but it was the curriculum- and tends to plan for the best possible route at her ability.

+ PRIDEFUL - After a lifetime of being told she's nothing but bad luck, Jinx lives with her head held high. She refuses to let herself be diminished or mistreated no matter who you are, and will readily strike back if needed. Despite appearances, however, she'll readily accept when she's wrong or when she has more to learn. But ultimately she exists, and will continue to exist, regardless of your approval.

+ CLEVER - Without the burden of managing an uninterested team, Jinx can shine as a strategist and a former top student of a fighting school. She learns quickly and can apply what she finds to her fighting or life style readily- and what she can't, she'll work harder on.

+ LOVING - Jinx truly loves her friends and is openly affectionate with them, from game nights on the regular to giving headpats and letting others hide behind her when afraid. With her love comes loyalty, and it takes a lot of chipping away to break that bond. Jinx herself is slow to warm, but quick to burn for the most part. While she hides behind a blithe façade, leaving H.I.V.E. behind was a painful decision ultimately, but one that was for the better. As she's turned her life around, she's only grown sweeter with the people she does give her love to.

- VAIN - Jinx takes pride in her appearance and follows fashion trends, and because of her vanity loathes work that will consist of getting dirtier than she deems necessary. Even if she deems the work necessary, she'll find it upsetting at best. Trying to give her clothes or accessories that she thinks doesn't suit her will be met with being shoved to the back of her closet at best.

- TEMPERAMENTAL - Jinx is not a calm person at the best of times, and it shows. When her temper flares she can yell people thrice her size into submission, and lashes out readily when she's reaching her breaking point. Even without her yelling, she acts on petty impulses when angered.

- ANXIOUS - Due to the nature of her powers, despite all confidence Jinx overthinks the potential consequences of her mere presence, and has spent most of her life considering herself as dangerous at best. Though she knows how to navigate fights and heists, she can find herself lost in regular social situations, and isn't sure how to blend into society sometimes. This anxiety leads to a certain level of emotional shielding as well, which she hides behind readily when vulnerability is on the table.

- CRIMES - Despite retiring as a villain and switching tracks to heroism, and being readily accepted as one, Jinx has spent most if not all of her life stealing, cheating and fighting for her right to live. Although she tries to be a good hero, she sees "legal" and "illegal" as having very little to do with right and wrong, and may act on that for the greater good as she sees fit. Sometimes you have to break into the building and lift evidence illegally, and sometimes, a jerk needs to lose their wallet to buy their victim ice cream.

MUNDANE INTERESTS - Jinx enjoys fashion and art primarily, with a sketchbook she keeps in her room and an interest in adding to her aesthetic through accessories and more. She also shows a secret love for unicorns, and it extends to fairy tales... not that she'll ever admit it. As the most mature and responsible of her former team, she's also taken to cooking and enjoys learning new recipes. Due to the destructive nature of her abilities, Jinx enjoys creative hobbies (a form of rebellion against her very nature, perhaps?) as a whole and will happily dabble in jewelry making, resin crafting and whatever else someone may offer. As a bonified nerd, she also enjoys reading and learning in general. She considers her more childish interests embarrassing and unbefitting a girl like her and tries to keep quiet about them however.

NEW SITUATIONS - Jinx has stepped back from leadership roles for now while she adjusts to her new life, and so she wouldn't try to take charge if there were multiple people at once. She's more inclined to observe before anything else, to see who might be capable, who needs gentler hands, who to avoid (for her safety or theirs), and survey the situation. If there's someone to get information from, she'll be polite but wary, and will readily share what she learns with others if she believes it'd be helpful for the group... provided they're supposed to work together.

Abilities:

HEXES - Jinx's natural magic, tainted by an affinity for misfortune that smothers all her other spells. She's gotten creative with them, using it as a base attack through a wave of pink lightning-like magical energy, amplifying it directly as an attack or to break objects (shattering concrete, rusting metal, draining life from a flower until it decays to dust). With enough focus, she can even send out a further amplified blast capable of cracking concrete in a 10 foot radius of her without even lifting a finger.

HAND TO HAND COMBAT - You can't rely on magic for everything! Jinx is trained in martial arts- it's not her specialty, but she can throw a mean right hook.

ACROBATICS - Because being a witch isn't enough. You have to be a ninja witch. Jinx's agility, speed and acrobatic skill is impressive however, with her demonstrating the skills required to run up or jump across falling debris and still meet her goal. She also incorporates cartwheels, flips and jumps into her fighting and casting.

Inventory:

- TITANS COMMUNICATOR - a circular flip-phone-like device marking her an official member of the Teen Titans. ... Absolutely useless here, of course, but still.
- SKETCHBOOK - a large top-bound sketchbook, only a few pages in. Drawings consist of landscapes or still life. Or unicorns.
- AMETHYST PENDANT - a black silk choker with an amethyst pendant hanging from it. Jinx is never seen without it, and considers it to be a very important item.

Vision: Electro
Reason: Given her affinity for misfortune and it's affect on her ability to contain her own abilities, Jinx has been seen and treated as bad luck for most of her life, leaving her an outcast unless embracing the role of the monster. Despite being accepted by her new teammates, others won't always be so trusting given her history- and that's okay. She doesn't need their acceptance. She just needs to keep walking and keep trying, regardless of the stumbles.
Role: DPS, midrange preferred but she'd like to think of herself as flexible.
Constellation: A crescent moon curled against a rose.

➤ Character
Name: Takami Keigo (last, first), The Wing Hero: Hawks, the number 2 ranked pro hero.
Canon: My Hero Academia
Canon Point: Chapter 192, after the High End fight.
Age: 23

History: Wiki link! I can type it out instead if that's needed.

Personality: We would like to see your understanding of your character’s personality traits: their strengths, weaknesses, greatest motivations, mundane/trivial interests, and how they would interact with others in a new setting. You can provide this in a bullet point format, or a prose format. However, for prose format, please keep each trait to at most 1 paragraph in length.

Intelligent - Hawks is characterized by being physically fast before anything else. He's clocked 130km/h speeds as a child, and has presumably only gotten faster. If you see him in action, however, it becomes even more apparent that he's quick intellectually too. He's shown more than once an ability to multitask to extreme amounts by fighting several high ranking opponents at once all while unwittingly leading them into the paths of other heroes to be finished off or captured. Hawks spends the majority of his appearances in canon as a spymaster as well, infiltrating and putting on an act to the series villains.

Protective - Typical of the job and in contrast to his general carefree and relaxed manners, Hawks is a very protective individual. His priority in hero work is "save lives" over "fight villain" and will often devote himself to the plan of action that gets bystanders out of the line of fire or to take the fight elsewhere. In the battle against High End he used all his detached feathers to catch citizens falling out of damaged buildings, which made him a sitting duck unable to fly.

Harworking - Hawks is the record breaker on several age related rankings in hero society, being the youngest person onto the Top Ten charts for any hero in Japan, and the youngest to reach both the third and then second ranks. He's considered prodigious in how well he can use his quirk and his intelligence, but one of the things that truly got him there was the work ethic he puts into everything he does. He isn't known for ever taking breaks, his hero agency is mostly him doing all the work fighting and his side kicks just clean up after the fights, he has flown all over the country to collect rumors of a possible threat months before any one else thought to look, the list goes on. His quirk is also less on the power side of things and more on the precision and technique end of the spectrum, meaning he must have put hours and hours into honing the skills necessary to reach what he has now.

Arrogant - On the negative side, the easy confidence Hawks has can often come off as arrogant and conceited. To prove a point and attract the attention of a fellow hero who wouldn't have normally talked to him, Hawks put on a rather grandstanding speech during the nationally broadcast Hero Rankings. The audience remarks on him being so cocky, including many other heroes. The apparent ease he takes to most tasks and his motivation for being a hero sounding very lazy makes him extra liable to come off as arrogant.

Motivations - When asked about his motivations, Hawks says he wants to create a world where Heroes have more free time than they know what to do with. Not necessarily because he’s truly lazy, although his arrogant front can lead people to think that, but because he wants a world with less of a need for heroes to have fight crime. If the world was more peaceful, there wouldn’t need to be so many heroes in fights everyday. This often seems contradictory to how hard he works as a hero, but he remarks later on in the series about how he offered a villain an out-- if he came with Hawks and renounced villainy, Hawks could "help him out, because [he's] a good person" who had just had a hard and misguided life. One more villain, one who only was potentially misguided instead of truly malicious, out of commission would have been one more step towards a society with less villains, and less need for heroes.

Hawks is quite the workaholic, truthfully, so a mundane or trivial interest isn't something he would find easy. Comments he makes lean towards him having above average cooking skills, and he dresses fashionably when he's not on the clock.

To interact in the new setting, Hawks would be very open about talking with everyone everywhere, helping with tasks, and appearing just about everywhere as he stakes out the area. He'd be very fond of higher places, both in place of the vantage points the wings he might not be able to use would have gotten him, or to attempt to get his wings working again. He would probably be on the cagey-er side for actually giving up useful information about himself too.

Abilities:
Hawks' quirk is called Mighty Wings, it's considered a mutant type, since it changed his physiology to give him large red wings. The wings give him the ability to:
-fly (recorded up to 130km/h speeds as a child)
-sense vibrations in the air, like breathing or speech (fine-tuned enough to know what was said)
-each feather can detach and fly through the air, independent of each other
-the feathers can feel soft like normal feathers or sharp like steel (useful when using them as knives/swords)

-if he loses too many feathers, Hawks is unable to fly by himself
-it takes about four days for the majority of his feathers to grow back once they've been damaged or destroyed

Inventory:
-His hero costume
-A smartphone

Vision: Anemo
Reason: Hawks isn't much of a bard, but he is characterized by a desire for freedom. He claims his reason for working so hard at being a hero was "to create a world where Heroes have more free time than they know what to do with."
Role: Hawks would be a ranged DPS primarily, mainly using his feathers to attack from mid to long range away while staying out of the fray himself. My RPG knowledge is a bit limited, but he could act as a support and crowd control as well since he can distract multiple targets away from teammate(s) who might me more suited to directly facing the enemy.
Constellation: Can I get away with a hawk? if not, then a feather.

➤ Character
Name: Trevor Belmont
Canon: Castlevania - Animated
Canon Point: Post season 2
Age: 20

History: https://castlevania.fandom.com/wiki/Trevor_Belmont_(animated_series)

Personality:

STRENGTHS
  • [COURAGE] Trevor Belmont is a hunter who specializes in destroying various monsters such as vampires and demons. He introduces himself as a man that doesn't fear death. His actions are true to his word as he never backs down from a battle and he always acts with fearlessness.
  • [COMBAT STRATEGIST] He's surprisingly decent at taking a leader role. When the demons attacked Gresit and its town people Trevor organized a raid against the demonic horde.  His knowledge and understanding of weapons make him a somewhat competent battle strategist. Trevor seems to have no problem teaching others how to use weapons for self defense as well.
  • [TENACITY] He's someone who can't be killed easily. Trevor is the last remaining member of his family bloodline. The Belmonts were wrongfully excommunicated by the church leaving Trevor on his own to fend for himself at the age of twelve. He's a survivor and a fighter to the bitter end. In addition to this, he's quite resourceful and able to make the most of an undesirable situation.
  •  [QUICK WITTED] He responds quickly to changes his environment no matter how strange or absurd it may seem. When things don't go as planned Trevor is capable of coming up with solutions on the fly. He's known to take advantage of unconventional tools such as magic and he relies on his general gut feeling.

WEAKNESS

  • [UNRELIABLE]  Trevor's companions would describe him as someone unreliable and not very forth coming. They're mostly correct though. He doesn't exactly come off as an individual that can be counted on. His overall demeanor and personality can be difficult to work with. Trevor is rough around the edges and acts with a tough disposition.
  • [CYNICAL]  The cynicism in Trevor's attitude is the first thing most people notice about him. He often behaves rudely while treating others with some level of sardonicism. He mocks villagers, travelers and especially priests. Trevor Belmont's crude behavior is a result of him being persecuted by villagers over the years.
  • [RECKLESS]   It's fairly normal for Trevor Belmont to react with complete recklessness and throw caution into the wind. At some point he ends up fighting against Alucard, the son of Dracula. During this fight Trevor seemed more than willing to throw his own life away in order to achieve victory. His recklessness seems to increase by tenfold whenever there are vampires or demons around.
  • [IMPOLITE]     Having manners isn't exactly his strong point. Trevor treats everyone with disrespect and never listens to authoritative figures. He's somewhat of a rebel and because of that he often gets into needless fights. The first time Trevor Belmont makes an appearance he's actively getting into bar fights with local villagers. His rudeness is noted by Sypha Belnades who constantly criticizes him for his poor behavior.
  • [MOTIVATED DEFENDER]  At his core, Trevor is a protector to the people. He becomes more understanding and compassionate towards individuals that are being persecuted or wrongfully mistreated.  Trevor once defended an old man that he didn't even personally know. His family fought to keep humans safe for generations so Trevor feels obligated to carry out their wishes.
  • [TRIVIAL INTREST] He's fond of drinking, sleeping, eating and likes weapons a lot.
  • [SETTING INTERACTIONS] When Trevor arrives in the game he might try to help against monster attacks or take on the role of a village guard.

Abilities:

WEAPON MASTERY
He can use any weapon ranging from short knives to whips and even chakrams.

PHYSICAL ENDURANCE
Trevor Belmont is highly athletic being able to preform stunts an average person can't do.

Inventory:

  • WHIP
  • MORNING STAR
  • KNIVES
  • SHORT SWORD

Vision: Pyro
Reason:  Trevor is a warrior who has fought countless battles. He's passionate and unrelenting much like a flame.
Role: Attack/dps
Constellation: is it okay if his constellation is his family crest?

➤ Character
Name: Katsuki Bakugo
Canon: My Hero Academia
Canon Point: Chapter 303 (Post)
Age: 17

History: Here you go!

Personality:
( + ) Despite being extremely antagonistic just in general even when he's in "neutral" mode, Katsuki isn't a bad person at his core. Yes, he bullied the main character in their childhood and yes, he is an asshole pretty regularly to everyone he knows, but Katsuki actually leans harder into the "his bark is worse than his bite" trope these days in the manga more than he doesn't and even during his bullying days he mostly bullied Deku verbally than anything else, with only one incident stepping over the line where he blew up Deku's notebook (in previous incidents he'd even returned the notebook to Deku unharmed after snatching it from his "friends" who snatched it from Deku first).

( + ) Even if he bitches to hell and back about helping his idiot friends and classmates, Katsuki will actually almost always end up helping. He just has to be a melodramatic bitch about everything, because he's an emotionally stunted moron. He wants to be a hero more than anything else, and as a result he actually does want to help people out in his own brash kind of way, but he's...not great at making it obvious?

( + ) Katsuki is also a very intelligent person despite the hair trigger temper and his tendency to overreact to everything. Katsuki, when he's calm, gives good and honest advice that's well-thought through and which usually helps those who have been lucky enough to earn it from him. He's also able to come up with regularly winning strategies in battle at the drop of a hat, relying on instinct and talent to finish things flawlessly. He's one of the top students in his class scholastically despite the way he looks like a thug, and it shows. Katsuki can occasionally show his more serious and mature side verbally as well so long as no one taps any of his many rage buttons. Even when he's being angry-grumpy, however, he can come off as more thoughtful than you'd think from the outset. When visiting the Todoroki family, for example, Katsuki yells a lot about how they should keep their private matters private, but he also loudly yells about cleaning up (he does most of it with Deku) and yell-compliments the cooking and so on and so forth.

( - ) When it comes to Katsuki's downsides, they are all pretty much centered on the same thing: his ridiculous temper and his superiority/inferiority complex. Despite having a huge ego and a lot of pride, Katsuki actually gets bent out of shape when he perceives people to be better than him, although he's getting vaguely better about this as the manga continues. His biggest problem with Deku has always been that he got it in his head that Deku thought he was "better" than Katsuki because Deku repeatedly tried to help him out - which never meant Deku thought he was weak (it was the opposite) but which the younger Katsuki took to be just that because people didn't actually usually offer him a hand up since he pretty much never needed one.

( - ) Katsuki has a hard time being traditionally nice to people (he has rude bitch disease) and he isn't always the smoothest about teamwork - in-universe, he's pulled it off because he's always worked with people who put up with his bullshit. With strangers who don't Get him, it's harder.

( - ) He appears to mostly be an extreme introvert who prefers not to hang around other people when he has the choice and who doesn't see any reason for social niceties at all ever. What friends he does gather tend to ignore his grumpiness and insults and just sort of laugh at him, and while he'll yell back at them he does just let them flit around him and hang off him with a sort of low-level grumbly sort of emotion.

MOTIVATIONS/INTERESTS
Motivations? There's only one. To be a hero who always wins...so, the rest of his personality all falls into line with that. It's just that as he's grown up over the course of the series he has come to realize that the hero who always wins has to also be a hero who always saves. Win to save, save to win.

His hobbies include hiking, heroes, and people leaving him the hell alone. He's also a great drummer and good at cooking.
Abilities:
EXPLOSION: Katsuki is from a canon where most people have a single superpower (called Quirks), and his allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat and detonate it at will from his hands to cause explosions. Basically...his hands are ticking time bombs (but he has control of them). The more he sweats, the more powerful he gets. Gross. It's worth noting his Quirk is very powerful and he's versatile in how he uses it - he can even basically "fly" with his Quirk powering blasts to keep him airborne, although it's not true flight it's just...being very acrobatic.

GENERAL: Katsuki's an athletic guy, and training to be a hero; he's above-average in fighting skills and strength. Beyond the obvious athletics ability and superpower, Katsuki is apparently an amazing chef and excellent at cleaning, and he's naturally talented at bookwork. He can also flawlessly play the drums. Katsuki's that character who just happens to be Good at a lot of bullshit, without seeming to try, although he puts in 1000% effort into anything he does. For fun: His official stats from the latest guidebook.
Inventory: School uniform / hero costume (with dumbass accessories) / wallet.

Vision: Pyro
Reason: 1) He loves BATTLE 2) he's one of the most passionate characters in his series, even if it's in a bad way sometimes and 3) BOOM BOOM (he can usually make his sweat explode. yeah).
Role: OFFENSIVE
Constellation: Grenade

➤ Character
Name: Yu Mei-ren; Consort Yu; Yu the Beauty; has went by the false identity of “Hinako Akuta”
Canon: Fate/Grand Order
Canon Point: In the middle of seeing Xiang Yu die a second time.
Age: There’s no canon age, but it’s said she was alive during the Age of Gods and started living in China around 200 BC, so probably 2000+ yrs old, give or take!

History: Here!

Personality:

STRENGTHS

+Observant: When she’s behind a book, Yu keeps a general close eye and is able to pick up on small details and whatnot, especially if she senses someone who either isn’t human or has had a brush with non-humans. However, she doesn’t use it to try and pry into others' personal lives (exceptions being the latter two since she’s a little more inclined and comfortable than with regular people, but even then, she won't ask much), as she is usually more content with just watching from the sidelines.

+Sentimental: Underneath it all, Yu can actually be very sweet and even doting. Granted, it’s after a lot of persistence, but once she’s fully able to trust someone, she'll go the absolute mile for them. It even extends to regular people, as though she isn’t fond of humans, she is willing to make some exceptions and deeply cherishes any friendships to be had.

+Well-read: As Yu tends to read a lot of books, she can be pretty knowledgeable, though not to the likes and levels of a super-genius; when she feels like it, she researches on a topic thoroughly and making sure to understand it well. As a bonus, it also helps in giving off the impression as someone to not be disturbed.

+No Bloodthirst: Despite being something similar of her canon’s version of what are considered to be original vampires AKA True Ancestors, she is not fond of taking blood from others as unlike them, Yu never had the on-going desire, and the very act of doing so completely disgusts her; instead, she prefers to take just a little mana from the environment around her via a passive way instead of by force. In a way, she thinks it makes her better than others stuck in a cycle of perpetual consumption.

+/-Immortality: Being unable to die imbues Yu with not only the advantages that come with it, but also the sense of not wanting to give up. On the other hand, she views it as something of a curse as even if she wanted to, she wouldn’t be able to. Thus, she gets jealous of others who have a finite lifespan, since they’re able to pass on while she cannot. Also it can’t even save her from getting stiff joints sometimes, whoops.

WEAKNESSES

-Apathetic/Inaction: On the flipside of her observance, putting on that much of a poker face and hiding behind books makes Yu come off as aloof and icy to everyone. Due to certain issues, it has left her fearful and disdainful to the point where she sees anyone as a possible threat, so she keeps everybody she encounters to an arm’s length. Even with people she cares about, Yu is hesitant in showing any kind of emotion, as that might mean showing even the slightest hint of revealing her true nature and being rejected for it, which unfortunately may come across as being cold-hearted. That said, trying to call her out for being seemingly heartless will actually cause her to drop her poker face and become extremely angry.

-Spoiled: Despite the above weakness, once she starts getting close to someone, she becomes...still kind of troublesome. Years of being a recluse did not do wonders for her;though she won’t have the need to hide her identity any longer, she does become a bit of a brat that does whatever she wants, to the point of even throwing a temper tantrum when she feels like she’s been slighted.

-Misanthropic: While she doesn’t mind humans as a species, it doesn’t mean she likes them either, what with having been persecuted many times in the past and nursing a long-standing grudge. Even if she has human friends, depending on how close Yu is to them, she might make it a point to never let them forget that they too aren’t really different from the other humans.

-Worst Tactician Ever: As another side effect of being reclusive, Yu really isn’t cut out to be a leader, since she doesn’t understand how people should work together and is unable to bring out their full strengths when she’s put in such a position like this; she relies on their experiences to do most of the work for her instead and expect some kind of clean victory. Otherwise, when it isn’t working out, she just chooses to retreat.

Greatest Motivation: Yu’s original motivation was the desire to be somewhere that lets her simply live out her days in peace with her beloved. And deeper down, she still wants a sort of repose, as she wishes to have a sort of place where her existence will be allowed and to not be viewed as a monster but a kind of necessity.

Mundane/Trivial Interests: She’s an avid book reader (with a fondness for history and leaning towards a certain country and era) and tends to coop herself up somewhere whenever she can, though Yu is pretty fond of trekking ventures as well and tends to go during the off-seasons. She’s also talented with herbology and feeding animals.

Interactions: Yu has never had the situation of being in an entirely different world, so she will fall back on her false identity of “Hinako Akuta” and her usual methods in observance as a way of staying safe in such a situation (possibly even feeling distraught, given her canonpoint). Eventually, but surely as she gets her bearings straight and once she realizes there’s no need to hide away her true nature, she’d be willing to help as best as she can. No matter what world or the kinds of inhabitants living here, if the chance to maybe have some actual peace presents itself, Yu will desperately defend it at all costs.

Abilities:

Basic Combat
-Decent mastery with her two twin swords
-Average strength and agility

Personal Skills/Abilities
-Immortality, with the perks including:
  • Eternal youth and beauty
  • Higher endurance and durability

  • -Drawing in energy from either plants or animals and releasing it in limited quantities (with an exception being wastelands, since she can’t siphon anything from there).
-Weaponizing her own blood as offensive weapons.
  • Eternal Lament: Her ultimate attack, which consists of gathering up all the energy in herself beyond the limits of her body and discarding it to create a curse-filled storm of blood raining down on enemies before she reconstructs her body again.

  • Other Skills
-Sword dancing (it’s more seen in her battle animations, but there’s the implication that she’s very good with it outside of combat in general)

    Inventory:

    -Her twin swords
    -The clothes on her back

    Vision: Cryo
Reason: She’s been mourning for a long time, what with having lost her beloved Xiang Yu. And while the void in her heart almost was filled with his presence in the LostBelt 3 arc, she ends up losing him again near the end.

    * NOTE: Fallout is a content warning heavy canon. The major theme of the canon in general is war, and it's set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, so all of the horrors associated are going to come up. Seriously, if you can think of it, it's likely here in canon somewhere. In addition, the following topics are prevalent: body horror, fantasy racism, fantasy drug use, abuse, slavery, prostitution, colonialism, non-consentual invasive surgery, suicidal ideology / suicide. Tread lightly, especially the deeper you follow the wiki links.

    [personal profile] quixotically 2021-06-20 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
    Personality:
» giving - altruistic in nature, often turning down payment for deeds done or putting herself out on a limb farther than strictly necessary on someone else's behalf. but she's also giving in the emotional sense, being the type to drop everything to support someone in need, even at her own physical or emotional expense

» highly empathic - puts herself in other people's shoes extremely easily, to the point where she can't Not empathize with someone if she's given the tiniest sliver to do so. this can easily lead to projecting, though, where she connects something about a person with herself, and makes assumptions from there...

» tolerant / open-minded - another result of the above. she tends to take an approach to new people of "everyone has a story" and treats them like an equal, or otherwise like she'd want to be treated. judgment is not something she often jumps to, and instead of making an accusation, she will do her best to look at things from their perspective

» conflict-avoidant - she'll do anything to prevent, step around, or turn down a conflict. most often, this means she's making compromises, worrying about future problems so she can prevent them, how things might sound and editing herself ... even her combat style reflects this, with a preference for headshots to end life-or-death conflicts where negotation is not an option as quickly and concretely as possible

» awkward - as a result of the above. because she worries so much about saying the right thing, and cares so much about other peoples' opinions, she ends up fumbling and looking as self-conscious as she feels, making her come across as awkward

» social - as much as she worries, she's very socially driven. she's extroverted, so being around people recharges her and makes her feel better, and she is her happiest when she's surrounded by those she cares about and who care for her, and at her worst when she's isolated and alone

» tactful / image conscious - likely unsurprising, given how much she cares about saying the right thing. but elle's tact is a very conscious effort, a skill that comes from many of her traits. she may stutter or hesitate in her speech, but she's very careful — she cares about how she comes across, she cares about how people are affected by what she says. she knows how to pick and choose when and what to talk about, and how to go about broaching those topics

» perceptive - born from how much she cares about how people react, she's prone to picking up details, and this ends up applying to more than just the social sphere. look, where her int score fails her, her high perception makes up for it — where there's an intelligence check, there's almost always also a perception check, and that's how she gets by

» manipulative - but quietly so — and, interestingly, perhaps at odds with her beliefs on choice (see themes below). this skill is a natural result of all of the above — it just adds up to elle choosing to herd people in the direction she thinks will be best for them. it isn't something she does lightly, and she always puts a lot of thought into it, always double-checking and making sure she's on the right path, gently probing to see if she thinks they'll like where they'll end up if all goes according to plan. but even if well-intentioned, it doesn't change the fact that this is manipulation. definitely a protagonist trying to map out the "best" endings in an open world game. now, what's in it for her?...

» abandonment / rejection issues - rejection sensitive dysphoria + fawning coping mechanism — in the end, what elle wants most is for someone to decide to keep her, and to continue deciding to keep her. she feels as though she has to prove herself to those around her in order to keep her place by their side... so deeply that if someone offers her unconditional acceptance, she feels very uncomfortable and confused — and insecure in that relationship, because if she hasn't "earned" it, then it feels like it can be taken away from her with nothing she can do about it. but maybe if she gives and gives and gives, and helps people reach better places in their lives, then she'll have earned her place with them, and they'll let her stay. (maybe even forever...)

» follower - despite the position she ends up in regarding the mojave, she's actually a natural follower, not a natural leader. it's in her instinct to follow in someone else's footsteps, especially with people she admires. she wants to trust in those she looks up to enough to allow them to make the hard decisions, to guide her, to decide what direction to point her in. being in a leadership position is deeply stressful for her — it takes her existing behaviors above and puts even larger consequences on them, and she already worries about everything enough...

» indecisive - as mentioned in themes below, she has trouble trusting in her ability to make decisions. but on top of that, because she's so highly empathetic, she ends up seeing from too many perspectives at once, which can make it difficult for her to choose what she thinks is best. add to this how much she cares about how people react to things, and... it's messy. decisions are difficult for her. (then add in a dose of executive dysfunction at times...) she finds it easiest to make decisions when she can talk things through with people she trusts

» dependent - as mentioned before, she doesn't do well on her own. but, taking it a step further, she also defines herself by her friends. she's reliant on the support of others, and the opinions of others, most particularly those she cares about the most. and, she ends up following their examples, especially when stressed enough she starts to shut down — in those situations, she'll start borrowing their traits and behaviors, even if they're not exactly good ones

» sensitive / reactionary - since she cares so much about what other people think of her, and how they react to her, and how they feel, and how they might feel because of her... she's very sensitive by nature. she just defines herself so much by other people, and cares so much about every little thing, that she can't not be. and as a result, she's very responsive and expressive whenever she's affected by something, which is... pretty much all the damn time. (sometimes, this can be light-hearted and funny; it's very easy to get her to blush or flail about)

» loyal - you should have seen this coming by now. she is steadfast, and her trust is nigh unshakeable. it takes a lot for her to decide to break ties with someone, let alone turn against them. it's simply not in her nature — she instinctively wants to trust, and trust blindly. and this is a trait she prides herself on, too, defines herself by. so, it gets her into a lot of trouble

» protective - again, a natural result of a combination of her traits. elle wants to take care of people, especially those closest to her. she wants to shield them from all harm, even what happened in the past. obviously, this is unrealistic, and she can't be everywhere at once, or responsible for everything and everyone — but that doesn't stop her from wanting to try

» stubborn / secret backbone - even a worm will turn — despite everything, when push comes to shove, elle will plant her feet and start pushing back. this is the reason why she manages to hold her own in the wasteland, and in the face of all the challenges she ends up dealing with. there comes a point where elle can no longer allow herself to bend (almost never on her own behalf), and she'll go from seemingly wishy washy and shrinking from arguments, to resolutely holding her ground and meeting her opponent head-on

» moral - what's right and what's wrong is something that has consumed her since very early on. this is made difficult enough by the way she can see from so many sides at once. she never stops questioning this, never stops questioning herself. and her own moral consistency is important to her — but if she wants to take a stand, if she wants people to back her up, then she has to be able to be consistent. and if she decides she was wrong about something, or if she has to change her outlook, then she needs to make sure it's for good reason. this can sometimes tear her up, when she decides she's wrong about something and then looks back on all the decisions she made based on that thing...

» driving - once she sets her mind to something, once she takes a stand, once she gets obsessed with a concept or a goal? she charges full speed ahead. it can be very difficult to redirect her, or convince her to let go of something once she's got it in her head that it's important

» self-blaming - "i should have done more" — this is something she tells herself whenever something goes wrong that was completely out of her hands. it's near impossible to convince her there was nothing she could have done — or, even, that it was best for her to not get involved. this is because telling herself, "i should have done more" gives herself the illusion that she had some degree of control over the situation. it's absolutely a coping mechanism, that also happens to be tied into her "not good enough" issues

» competitive - but perhaps not in the way you'd expect. clearly, elle holds herself to very high standards (and just herself, most of the time), and as a result, she's always pushing herself to do better. she's competitive against herself more than anything else. but stemming from this is how she's willing to try to rise to challenges from other people, whether they're serious, or... if it's time to playfight. elle loves friendly competitions, ranging from rough housing to playing games (pool, poker, etc.)

» curious - "can't leave well enough alone" — she has an unfortunate kneejerk Gotta Know instinct. this gets her into a LOT of trouble, since she'll end up sticking her nose into anything that piques her interest, and just about anything will catch her interest. especially anything that's new to her, which is... the most unfortunate, since amnesia makes most everything new to her. one thing elle loves in particular is going out and finding old pre-war places that haven't been visited by humans in a very, very long time. being able to physically touch history, learning stories of the past... these are things that are important to her

» adaptive / flexible - rolls with the punches pretty damn well. she's seen and been through some Weird Shit. any more, she goes "whelp" and tries to figure out a way to cope, often focusing on problems in front of her and the people around her. it isn't uncommon for her to try to relate the new Weird Shit with the Weird Shit she's dealt with in the past, and she's totally willing to share those stories with anyone willing to listen

» active / energetic / restless - always in need of stimulation — what it says on the tin. she has a lot of energy, and it seems like she always has to be doing something. that isn't to say she can't chill — she's still human — but she has an inborn wanderlust that makes it difficult for her to sit still for long periods of time. she's used to being on the move and always having something to do. on the bright side, she's easily entertained, so she's not often bored

» reckless - you'd think getting shot in the head and nearly dying would make a girl more cautious, but nope, not this one. she's disturbingly willing to throw herself into danger or take risks she really, really shouldn't, especially if the end goal means she'll be helping someone out. and if there's a high chance she'll get hurt, or even die? it's still worth it. (besides, in strange contrast to this, she ends up with a kind of daredevil attitude, as if she thinks she can't die, sometimes. ... and, when this attitude arises, it's not exactly clear if she considers this a good thing, or a bad one)

» self-destructive tendencies - when she's in a bad way, her recklessness rises and starts going way too far. she doesn't want to die, per se, and she isn't seeking death, exactly, just... it's like she's daring the world to stop her. this is an extremely unhealthy mindset, and you can tell when she's approaching her worst points the more she isolates herself and the worse this attitude gets

» insecure - at the end of the day, elle just ... doesn't value herself very much. her self-worth is through the floor, and as a result, she struggles to care about what happens to her. as long as everyone else is okay, that's what matters most — and even then, if she hadn't been there, things probably would've been fine, anyway. it doesn't make sense to her for a long time that she has an important role, and it's difficult for her to believe that people need her

    ➤ Character
    Name: Elutherius "Lutha" Pahr IV
    Canon: Original
Canon Point: One week after reuniting with the remains of his travelling party
    Age: 18

History: It's a bit of a doozy but here you go! I've split up the world history and his own storyline up to his canon point.

    Personality:
    Strengths/Weaknesses
    • PRIDE VS SELF-RELIANCE >>> Much of what Lutha feels and does comes from a twisted, unhealthy sense of pride. While a small portion of it does lie on his noble upbringing and the expectations of greatness that were fed to him from every angle, most of his hubris remains entirely self-taught. His disconnect from his family was entirely his own choice, and the world quickly taught him what the consequences of that choice would be, refusing to offer help for help's sake or to stroke his ego for him. So, over eight years, he's learned to stroke it himself, forcing himself to stay cynically aware of the world and disconnected from those that float through it. What matters most is his own individual ability to live, which, while necessary in a land of survival, still can come across overly selfish and cruel. His confidence is strongly based in this, refusing to be morphed by any other creature and taking great pride in working completely on his own. He is not kind or charitable for the sake of it and easily ignores attempts made in kind to him, sometimes going the extra mile to react angrily and be called out for it - after all, he would rather be seen as cross or paranoid than pitiable, and he will do what he has to to keep it that way.

    • STUBBORNESS VS PRACTICALITY >>> His choices are his choices, and he would rather take a knife to the lungs than bend to another's will. Whether it's his closeminded views on those he considers too different, the emotional walls he puts up to cope, how forcefully he controls the bargain of a trade or how madly he clings to his desire for vengeance, there is very little that can be done to turn Lutha away from someone he has determined as true, safe, or proper. That said, while it makes him difficult to deal with interpersonally, it keeps him grounded and practical in how he tries to navigate difficult situations and argue topics - though he does so forcefully and is difficult to sway, at his core he can be rather down-to-earth and gets straight to the point.

    • DISTANCE VS LOYALTY >>> His boundaries adjust very little outside of what is needed for day to day life; to be vulnerable is not something Lutha knows how to properly deal with based on his lack of support growing up, so he copes by forcing people away and refusing to let them close, not budging unless purposeful attempts are made against him. Personal relationships are difficult, and lasting ones even more so. To earn his loyalty, though, while incredibly rare, is never forgotten. Should someone he consider close to him find themselves in danger, Lutha would not hesitate to rush to their aid and beyond - if someone has earned his trust to that level, they are just as important as any other choice he consciously makes.

    • ANGER VS PASSION >>> The largest problem Lutha has is how much he has allowed anger to control every other action and reaction in his life. At his core, Lutha is an emotional person who has an admirable boldness and assertiveness for things that matter to him. But life has forced an unhealthy balance in how he copes with his feelings. Anger was the last scar left by his former life, and anger is what fuels him for a goal of revenge in the future, so anger quickly became front and center. Often left to his own devices without a support system he trusts, Lutha instead bottles much of his other emotions, to the point that feeling angry is the only thing he knows how to address without feeling completely overwhelmed. This makes him touchy, confrontational, and even physically violent at times, proving very easy to lead into a righteous fury should the right buttons be pressed. He holds deep and often irrational grudges, rarely caring for forgiveness and often refusing for a resolution at all to his own problems because of how much easier it is to stay upset. He has no problems with mingling blunt truth and remarkable lies, so long as the end result leaves him comfortable. While he does have an inward need to guide poor decisions and discussions back on track, his attempts are often tactless, harsh, and condescending, unapologetic and unafraid to resort to insults and derogatory behavior to keep someone who angers him under his foot. Even well-meaning acts or remarks to him will be brushed off or bickered at.

    • LEADERSHIP VS NARROWMINDEDNESS >>> Though he has a natural taste for leadership and keeping the view of the whole in his mind through stress, as well as taking control when no one else will bother, Lutha will often press it away for the sake of disgust that he's following in his father's footsteps, resorting to being the middle man or completely absent from conflicts outside a few insults or cross words. It makes him aloof, but completely by his own choice - forcing what could be a positive trait to stay at the sidelines in favor of his own narrow desires and goals. Lutha still exists in an immature mind, defaulting to what he has decided he cannot be and cannot have, forcing himself to be inflexible, unobservant and unsympathetic. He remains openly ignorant, refusing to look at things even a little differently until he has enough obvious evidence to prove it for himself.

    • FEAR VS DETERMINATION >>> Even though he has the boldness to power through his fears, he instead lets them control him and guide him back to his anger instead, lacking the emotional footholds to help him cope in more productive ways. While he has the ability to change, it's deeply buried and would require a large upheaval of his thinking or danger to his life to see any true progress. But behind all of this, ultimately, is a core sense of determination that holds his true potential for growth. Whether it's a mix of his pride or the past he wants to forget, he never ignores his goals and will do downright horrible things to see them through. He refuses to run for anything that isn't his own survival - not out of courage, but dedication, not wanting to be proven wrong by simply stepping away. This can get him into enormous amounts of trouble, but he faces it with his chin high and feet planted.

    • IMPATIENCE VS IDEALISM >>> Even with how he tries to separate himself from others, he still carries a flair for injustice - despite how he acknowledges the unfairness of the world, he won't stand for those that use others blatantly or make the same foolish mistakes over and over, and will barge right into the situation with harsh words or actions if he thinks it will prevent something messier. It ties in with just how idealistic Lutha wants to be, an almost hypocritical contradiction to how life has morphed him to accept the status quo of his surroundings. What he hates of the world can be easily summed up as flaws in society that he doesn't know how to deal with, that he knows can be better, but still are things he doesn't have the flexibility to properly address. As angry and degrading as he can get, Lutha still wants to have a future not so coldly determined by facts. He doesn't want nobility to keep living off the suffering of the poor, or for the poor to so openly disdain those that were born to better circumstance. He doesn't want the pure act of staying alive to have to be a battle against death every day. He wants to amount to more than he is - more a stain on the wall, more than his scare tactics and scars, and far more than the wayward fool that he believed his father would always call him. Even if he consistently prioritizes himself, he still cannot sit by and do nothing at all. He is a man of action, not of thought, impatient for a chance to change things.

    Motivations
    • While his main motivation for literal years was just to make sure his father was dead, NOW THAT THAT'S UNCEREMONIOUSLY NOT A THING ANYMORE his motivations have become far more muddled, as he's been tossed into a period of self-reflection. To find a way around the horrible fate his world has been walking towards, and to do so knowing that the people he cared about would want the same thing, is the closest thing he has to a motivation coming into the game.

    Interests
    • Sharpshooting, arguing, badmouthing the nobility, bartering, music, languages, dice games, books, fresh fruit.

    New Setting
    • A change of pace is not his favorite and definitely uproots him fast. While he's quick on his feet and can make choices needed to keep him alive first and asking questions second, it takes him a much longer time to accept the change of pace emotionally, and may even hold a grudge against the world/gods/people/whoever he thinks he agreed with until he gets his feet under him and gains a little more common sense.

    Abilities:
    • Major survival skills from living on the streets. He can and will dig through your trash cans.
    • Proficiency in short-range firearms.
    • Musical, skilled with the violin, at least in knowledge.... laughs in Missing His Left Hand.
    • An innate potential for magic (nerfed).
    • Knows multiple languages of his world in varying conversational levels (The Common Tongue, Orc, conversational Goblin, and just enough Elvish to properly throw insults).
    Inventory:
    • Outfit, which includes a long-sleeved tunic, trousers, leather boots, one wrist-length glove (right-handed), one leather belt with metal clasps, an orange striped sash and several small pouches for currency and other small items
    • An ivory handgun with a golden barrel. Unless mods say otherwise, I will assume any bullets and gunpowder will be missing!
    • One small obsidian knife
    • Leather handgun holster
    • One empty leather waterskin
    • A small black pouch with four 6-sided dice, made of bone
    • A string of crudely carved wooden beads

    Vision: Pyro
Reason: Let's be real I wavered between this, Cyro, and Electro... but Pyro fit the best for the canon point Lutha is at right now. Though he's been defined by both great loss and a tendency to rely completely on his own means, his own emotions and passions have been what has driven both of those aspects, first for worse and now, very subtlety, for better. He feels what he feels very deeply, even if he can't articulate it well, and that passion will always inspire him to action, even if the passion itself is fueled by an act of pain.
Role: Ranged DPS, but trends far more towards debuffing now that he's only got one hand. He is here to throw something in the enemy's eye and run.
    Constellation: A violin.

    --

Since Lutha has been here before, please let me know what to expect as far as what he will or will not remember while he was away, etc! Also need to verify if he still would be able to have access to the money or items he obtained during his last stay (ex. the photos obtained during Dragonspire) or if he will be starting from scratch.

    Thank you!

    ➤ Character
    Name: Louis Amamiya
    Canon: Code Vein
    Canon Point: To Eternity Ending
Age: His physical age is frozen at 20, but he's a couple years older than that

    History: Wiki!

    Personality:

    ➤ Determination

Louis is a person of great willpower. He has been put through severe trauma and experienced a painful physical death, yet he is still able to keep his sanity intact and try to make amends for the horrific disasters that have befell his world. In the same way he is very determined to chip at the seemingly impossible task of bringing salvation to Revenants. Even if progress is slow and burdened with problems at every turn, he continues his research and exploration efforts all the same. He isn't fazed by hard work and has acquired his combat skill through years of combat while being unshaken by his repeated deaths.

    ➤ Kindness

At heart he is a kind person, reacting to the ruined world not with resignation but with the conclusion that he must change it for the better. He tries his best to aid fellow revenants and humans who are suffering from the current broken regime, going so far as to give away his blood tears freely to those whom he deems are in need. He takes in the Protagonist and Io despite just meeting them, as they had no safe place to stay. His kindness remains unbroken by the cruelty of the Code Vein world, even if he must take on heavier burdens in turn.

    ➤ Responsible

Louis tries his best to take care of all members of his team. He gives the Protagonist lots of advice and is willing to put himself in danger to ensure their survival. It is his sense of responsibility that pushes him to try and atone for his self-imposed sin of not preventing the Queen's frenzy. He could easily have chosen to ignore this, since very few people knew of his relationship to the Queen, but he chooses to not run away from his past deeds and try to make amends for it the best he can. It also means that he puts himself under a lot of mental stress, and he is able to continue only because of his determination and the support he receives from his friends.

    ➤ Emotional Repression

Louis keeps his thoughts to himself if he deems it irrelevant to the mission. He seems very practical and dedicated to others, but it also means that his teammates won't know much about him unless they intentionally ask. He has a lot of guilt and mental stress pent up inside, and it would explode on him one day if not for the efforts of his friends. It can be hard to read him from his face and body movements as he seems rather empty at times when not in battle.

    ➤ Atonement

Louis sees the Queen's frenzy as something that he could have prevented, even though he did not have the power to do it or the knowledge of its consequences at that time. Much of his undead life has been spent seeking atonement for his perceived sin. He takes it very badly when a friend is hurt because of his actions or negligence. His self-blaming complex is somewhat counteracted by his great willpower, but there is still a limit to his endurance and he is liable to break one day without intervention.

    ➤ Self-sacrificing

The combination of his kindness and his self-blaming complex means that Louis is often ready to put others before himself. He is able to survive in the harsh environment of Vein despite that because of his own skill in combat, allowing him to defeat Lost that other revenants have difficulty handling. However, his defense is never perfect, and he has his limits of endurance. He sees his efforts as part of his atonement and can become self-destructive if not stopped.

    ➤ Greatest Motivation

Louis works to realize his goal of salvation for revenants. This seems like a rather vague thing, but he calls it such because of events in his past. He wishes to free revenants from bloodthirst, and if this this impossible, to make blood tears plentiful again so that revenants don't have to fight and steal just to survive and the supply of blood isn't controlled by a select few. He still labours over these seemingly insurmountable tasks through exploration and research as he feels that it is his atonement. Luckily for him, meeting the Protagonist gives him a desperately needed breakthrough in his work.

    ➤ Interests

Louis is an avid reader and will seek out books for the opportunity to acquire new knowledge. He is willing to share his books with his friends as well. He takes care to keep his room neat and clean, so he doesn't skimp on his laundry and housework either.

    ➤ New Setting

He is by nature calm and careful while being polite, so he will try to collect as much information about the area as possible so that he can formulate a plan to tackle what they need to do. He knows it's important to gather allies, but he doesn't see a need to burden them with his personal details, so he's likely to keep it a business relationship unless the other party actively tries to get to know him.

    Abilities:

Revenant Physiology - Louis is technically dead, only reanimated by the presence of a parasitical organism in his body. Thus he lacks warm blood and other signature traits of living humans. Revenants also have heightened senses for hunting, and are exceptionally sensitive to blood. He is able to disperse into a dust cloud and reform when he takes lethal damage. When he reforms, there is a chance that he will lose part of his memories. The only way to permanently kill him is to strike his heart and thus destroy the parasite inside.

Revenants require a constant supply of human blood for sustenance. If they go extended periods of time without feeding, they will become more aggressive and succumb to bloodthirst. The parasite inside them will invade the host body completely, turning them into a monster known as a Lost. The Lost have no sense of self and will mindlessly attack anything in order to feed. They also have no heart weakness unlike Revenants and cannot be killed permanently.

Gifts - Each revenant has a unique set of blood fueled abilities granted to them by their blood type, or Blood Code. Louis has the Prometheus code, which grants him enhanced speed and dexterity at the cost of low defense. He is able to conjure fire and use attack buffs. All these abilities require use of blood as fuel and thus using them frequently will increase his bloodthirst.

Inventory: His clothes, Blood Veil, and sword.

Contract: He wishes for a way out of Vein's current predicament, either a way to subdue the Queen permanently or a way to let the Lost have their final rest so that the Protagonist does not need to sit on the Gaol of the Stagnant Blood anymore.

    Vision: Geo

Reason: Louis' greatest asset is his willpower. He has been pushed to the brink of despair several times, but always finds the mental fortitude to move forward. He is very hard on himself for being unable to prevent the Queen's frenzy, and it is this strong sense of duty that drives him to pursue the salvation of Revenants, even if it seems a completely impossible task. He is also protective of his friends and allies who have great faith in his cause.

Role: Melee DPS. He's well balanced in offense and speedy but fragile.

    Constellation: His Blood Code symbol

    Canon: Ace Attorney
Canon Point: Post great ace attorney 2 , resolve
    Age: 16

    History: https://aceattorney.fandom.com/wiki/Susato_Mikotoba

spoilers may be in the app
    Personality:

    STRENGTH

    [Intelligent]
Susato is defined by her intellect and sharp mind. She's an avid reader and as a result of this she's highly knowledgeable in various topics ranging from Japanese etiquette to British law. Her natural habits partially contributes to her willingness to learn. She's the type of person who would import books from overseas just to have a deeper understanding of things.
    [Disciplined]
Her disciplinary actions are something to be noted as well. Susato was born and raised in Japan during the Meiji era so she values tradition, polite mannerisms, and discipline. She tries her best to uphold idealisms from her culture. Sometimes Susato can be strict with others on occasion. She constantly makes Ryunosuke study things like law and never giving him a day of rest. Susato's strict and it's very important to her. She'll often go out of her way to reprimand someone for having poor mannerisms or having lack of etiquette.
    [Adaptability]
Despite being young Susato is highly capable of adapting to her surroundings. She picks up on things quickly both in a courtroom and during her daily life allowing her to do her very best in most situations. Her ability to see smaller details contributes to this aspect of hers. She would sometimes help the police with their investigations because she can see clues and other possible leads.
    [Patient]
Despite being only a sixteen year old Susato is incredibly patient with others and her peers alike. She'll always wait for people even during turbulent times. Ryunosuke would describe Susato as a patient individual and he's known her for some time. His opinion on Susato just happens to be accurate. She would spend time with Detective Sholmes attempting to correct his mistakes whenever he makes a blunder in his deductions.

    WEAKNESS

    [Inexperience]
Her experience and understanding of the world at large falls short. Up until her time in the Old Bailey courthouse Susato always believed that news paper articles were telling the truth. She had no reason to doubt information from the government and the press. Susato is still just a sixteen year old so it's understandable that she might not know everything even if it seems obvious.
    [Overly Curious]
Susato is so curious that she feels compelled to break ordinary objects apart. Her father Yujin Mikotoba could no longer keep a pocket watch because Susato insists on dismantling things in order to get a better understanding of them. Being too curious has put her in tight situations in the past. Sometimes there were occasions when she asked questions that shouldn't have been asked in the first place.
    [Insecure]
On the outside Susato appears to be confident and in control but she's actually quite insecure. She calls herself a complete failure and incompetent on different occasions. She had told Ryunosuke that she's unworthy of calling herself a judicial assistant because she had doubts about the law and the current system. Her insecurities stem from her self image and lack of faith in herself.
    [Stubborn]
To some degree Susato can be stubborn at times. Once she's set her mind on something it may be difficult to get her to reconsider other options. Sometimes she has the capacity to be a little too headstrong and it's a quality of hers that is noted by her friends. One time Susato took the stand as a defense lawyer before even though it was forbidden through typical practices. Her stubbornness can sometimes also lead to a bit of recklessness.

[Trivial Facts] she has never tried perfume before and she's an excellent chef.

[Motivation] As a young and capable woman Susato's motivated by a strong desire to do the right thing. With her role in the court as a judical assistant she can help people's voices be heard.  She studied frivolously in order to aid her friends Ryunosuke Naruhodo and Kazuma Asogi who are practitioners of the law.

Abilities: In every sense of the word, Susato is an average human. She doesn't have any supernatural abilities but she seems to be proficient with ancient fighting techniques. Her signature move is the Susato Takedown where she tosses someone onto the floor in a flash.

    Inventory:

    Books
    - The adventures of Herlock Sholmes
    - Japanese law
    - British Judiciary law
    - A copy of the latest news paper from the Old Bailey
    - A book on rigor mortis
    - Some journal logs with written transcriptions of previous court cases.

Contract: She would make a wish to get more knowledge and better herself as a person under Forneus deal.
    Vision: Electro
Reason:  Susato is a woman who's always true to her own beliefs no matter how difficult things get within her life. For that reason I think Electro suits her well. She also displays tenacity throughout ordeals and rough times.
Role: a balanced role consisting of ranged dps attacks and supportive heals
    Constellation: White ribbon

    ➤ Character
Name: August Villareal, also known as August, son of Nebiros and future Marquess of Hell (except he really doesn't want to be that)
    Canon: Original
Canon Point: Shortly after training with Beleth on his quest to find his parents
    Age: 22!

History: An info post, with a brief history included but, in slightly better order:

August was born to Ciela May Whitlock and a man only known as Johann in the tiny midwestern town of Solor...and then was promptly left in the care of and adopted by her best friend and her wife, Catherine and Marianne Villareal, when Ciela May was "killed in a car accident". She was not, in fact, killed in a car accident. She's quite alive and is just somewhere in the depths of Hell.

Since, you know. Johann is actually Nebiros, Marquess of Hell. Ciela had gone into hell to drag Nebiros out to help raise their son, only to get stuck in Hell. August, you see, is a half-demon.

August spent most of his life not knowing about this little detail, just thinking the weirder parts of being himself (such as his hair, which is a natural silvery-almost-white blond, or his outstandingly strong immune system) were just inherited from his mysterious deadbeat human dad. He never bothered to ask questions or even find someone who could run tests for this sort of thing; it wasn't like having answers would make the kids stop bullying him, after all, so why bother? He was weird, he was always going to be weird, so might as well just dye his hair wild colors and own it.

And so August spent twenty-two years in more or less blissful ignorance, making a name for himself in Solor as the weird witch kid with the weird bird and the weird cards and the weird hobbies. On Instagram, though, he's something of a small celebrity, known for his insanely insightful tarot readings and outstanding OOTDs, as he makes all of his own clothing and even occasionally takes commissions for a custom piece. He had one or two friends, but otherwise August was content to stay in the bird sanctuary and not really Interact With People.

And then demons attacked, and August shredded them when he threw his tarot deck at them, and suddenly he was getting hauled off by the other local witch for training under Beleth, a King of Hell, so that August would maybe not die by demons. It was while training under Bel and her wife that August learned how to actually use some of his demonic powers while also learning just who his father is. August is now spending time as a general sort of demon hunter/occult problem solver as he hones his skills and hopefully gets more allies, because one half-demon and two squishy humans (the other witch, Etta, and his long-time friend/crush Alexandre) cannot feasibly hope to plunge the depths of Hell looking for Ciela and a nerdy birdboy.

Personality: Thanks in large part to growing up weird, queer, and pagan in a small town, August is very much the cranky anti-social witch in the woods stereotype, if better dressed. He likes his family, his bird, the only other queer guy in town, the other local witch, and the baker and her boyfriend. That's it. Everyone else can go fuck right off, because August does not have the time or emotional bandwidth to deal with their shit.

That being said, when he's around the people he likes he's the sort of guy you'd expect a twenty something who grew up with crazy healing to be: a little reckless, a lot of a dork, and with some crazy stories (ask him about the time he drank holy water). He's also much more personable and vulnerable when he's around the people he likes, since he feels safe with them. He's clingy at times, though he'll deny it, and he's extremely touchy if the other party doesn't mind (read: if he likes you, he will cuddle. A Lot). He also tends to make the people he likes clothes, since he can and is also generally just anti-one-size-fights-no one and anti-fast fashion (even if he understands that most people have no choice).

Perhaps because of his heritage or perhaps because of the defenses he put up to protect himself as a child, August can also be...very explosive, emotionally speaking. He doesn't take everything personally or anything, but setbacks and bad news can send him into a bit of a spiral until he just snaps and yells or cries or runs off to be alone with his bird. He'll calm down quickly, but whatever upset him might still be simmering in the background, just waiting for another thing to set him off. Thankfully, his abilities are not emotionally powered.

He's also very likely to blame himself for whatever's happening, if it could feasibly be blamed on him. He's working on it.

    Abilities:

Demonic Energy Attacks: These are channeled through his tarot deck. Think Gambit from X-Men, and you've basically got it.

Demonic Energy Siphoning: August can use the energy generated by his attacks to heal someone.

Demonic Transformation: August is able to transform and take on a full demon appearance.

Tarot Reading: It's mostly memorization and stuff, true, but August can do it and has always had a knack for it.

    Sewing: He's a tailor.

    Inventory:

Julian: His familiar/pet raven. Julian is smarter than the average corvid, but is nothing more than a mundane raven that was touched by some demonic energy and then decided that a half-demon was his new human.

Tarot Deck: August never leaves home without his deck, though this one is from his father by way of Beleth.

A Knife: ....so when August wasn't paying attention one day Julian stole a knife from Etta and refuses to give it back. So the raven has a knife.

Messenger Bag: Contains two college textbooks (economics and an Ethics in Business text), a small sewing kit, a sketchbook with outfit concepts, and a bundle of cloth scraps.

Contract: Straight up, August thought Forneus was the one in Hell, not a completely different guy. But he'd agree to help so long as this Forneus could give him information on where his parents might be or even the name of someone who'd know.
    Vision: Electro
Reason: August's entire life has been about being an outcast and (seemingly) not giving a damn about it. Even if it has left its scars, he knows there's nothing he could really do to be "acceptable" or "normal", so there's no sense in wishing otherwise.
Role: Offensive glass canon mage with some heals and debuffs. Very squishy, please protect.
Constellation: A Tower, specifically that seen on the Major Arcana card

Name: Crow Armbrust (aliases: C, The Azure Chevalier, Azure Siegried)
Canon: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel
Canon Point: Beginning of Cold Steel 4
    Age: 22 years old

History: Start here and then keep going here

    Personality:
    Strengths:
Intelligence. He is very bright and cunning, able to quickly discern things that other people might not easily notice. He's a brilliant strategist and tactician, able to twist even a negative into something that could work for his plans. It's a pity he usually hides his intelligence, preferring instead to let people underestimate his capabilities. He's self-assured of his skills to the point of arrogance, made somewhat worse by the fact he's not wrong about them. He's a brilliant card sharp and can even keep up with his musical genius friend Elliot when it comes to putting together an impromptu stage play.

Dependable. Despite his often flippant attitude, once you've earned his friendship Crow is as loyal as it gets. ....Even if it doesn't always seem that way. He likes to help people but will often cover it up under more selfish seeming motivations, such as stealing his best friend's seat insisting he wants to kick back so that she'll finally go get lunch after working tirelessly for several hours. Even fighting on opposite sides of a civil war, he'll still help out sometimes— such as, for example, leaving an anonymous call so that a missing friend can be found.

Charisma. Crow is really good at lightening up the mood of any room he's in, cracking jokes and chatting with even complete strangers easily. He's playful and rarely serious, and it often ends up helping people get comfortable with him very quickly.

    Weaknesses:
Lazy. Crow is so laid-back that it can often slide straight into laziness, more interested in figuring out how to make a quick buck or have fun than in putting in any real effort. While he can buckle down and put forth the effort when it counts, for anything that doesn't catch his interest? Good luck getting him to even glance that way. Despite being brilliant, his grades in school were abysmal and he hasn't really changed since then.

Cynical. He had several rough formative years and it's made it hard for him to believe in anything but the worst of humanity. He's a very bitter and cynical person, though he does a fantastic job of covering it up with his playful demeanor. As a result, he has a hard time connecting with people, made worse by the fact that he doesn't make it obvious.

Gambling addict. When he was younger, his grandfather taught him all manners of skills— such as darts, billiards, cards, etcetera. They became a passion for young Crow, going as far as even becoming something of an addiction as he got older. Get him anywhere near a casino and you'll be lucky to see him for the rest of the day.

Communication skills. Or should I say lack thereof? It can be a nightmare to get him to admit to anything, especially if it involves feelings, unless it's direly important. Even then he might not say anything. He'll chat forever about nothing in particular, but later you might realize how very little you actually know about him.

    Greatest Motivations:
At his canonpoint, Crow is living on borrowed time— he was brought back to life, but he's essentially no different than a lich and he knows hes got an expiration date looming. All he wants to do is make sure that his friends have the strength to keep fighting and win after he's gone.

    Mundane Interests:
Aside from gambling, Crow enjoys fishing. He grew up in a coastal town and it reminds him of home. He's also got a flair for the dramatic, and loves setting up performances from a backstage perspective.

    New Situations:
Crow's gonna chat with the locals! Greet them, find out the lay of the land and what's going on, get a better idea of the lay of the land. Once he know's what's happening, he can figure out from there what he wants to do, whether it's serious— helping people out, or something more lazy and fun, like flirting with the locals.

    Abilities:

Orbal Arts. Using his battle orbment (a special kind of device in his world), he can weild elemental magics to augment his own physical abilities as well as cast "spells" known as "Arts" (different from "real magic"). His battle orbment has an affinity for Water and Time magic, but he can use anything. He's not the most skilled Arts user in his friends group, but he's fairly strong with them.

Twin Guns. Although he is capable of using any type of gun with a deadly degree of accuracy, he tends to favour a dual weilding style, using a pair of orbal guns ro fight at range. Orbal guns are a special type that don't require projectiles or gun powder, instead using orbal technology to fire bolts of energy at the target.

Double Saber. His preferred melee weapon of choice and one that is not widely used in his world, Crow can use the Double Saber with a precise and vicious amount of damage. While he's an excellent sharpshooter, he's even stronger with his Double Saber in hand.

Inventory: Everything that your character has on their person and will bring into the game.
    • ARCUS II (his battle orbment, depowered) equipped with the Gungir Master quartz (time quartz, also depowered) and a number of lesser quartz that are, assuredly, also depowered.
    • Twin Guns (depowered), ammo cannot be replaced with bullets since the way they are designed is different.
    • Double Saber

Contract: Realistically he does not thinking keeping himself alive is an option— his motivation is purely to do whatever he can to make sure his friends (especially Rean) are ready for the trials they'll be facing in trying to save the world.
    Vision: Electro
Reason: Crow has always marched to the beat of his own drum, picking the path with the goal he wants no matter how difficult it might be and pursuing it even to the bitterest end. He doesn't care what anyone else thinks, he knows what he wants and that's enough. ....The description for Electro felt perfect for him with that in mind.
Role: Offensive with some minor support abilities.
    Constellation: A fifty Mira coin

    Name: Ris Bancroft
    Canon: Original
Canon Point: Several months after her escape attempt, prior to meeting anyone else she might consider a friend.
    Age: 19

    History:

cw: abuse (both emotional and physical), disfiguration, severe medical malpractice

Ris was not born so much as she was made.

Her creator, Dr. Varen Bancroft, was possessed of a brilliant scientific mind. With his focus set in advancing past human limitations, his public-facing work was seen as perhaps a bit much, but highly praised when he did find results. With such pedigree, he was eventually commissioned to help try to heal a young programming genius of her chronic illnesses, so that her brilliance could be made useful in the years to come. It was easy enough work for someone like him, and it paid the bills, so Dr. Bancroft accepted.

Behind the scenes, however, Dr. Bancroft was hardly an upstanding citizen. Early into his career, he had met and become close with a demi-god by the name of Aero. Inspired by that power, Dr. Bancroft went down a dark path of study. Human experimentation came to be his bread and butter, with efforts focused in cloning, body modifications, and even modifications of the human soul. His end goal was to eventually elevate himself to the level of his beloved colleague by his own power. Of course, such research and development is particularly time-consuming, and it wasn't as if this was his only job. Constant meetings with his young "client" became irritating at best.

So, without obtaining any consent, because why would he do that, Dr. Bancroft obtained some of his client's DNA — a task which wasn't at all difficult, given their relationship — and cloned her. Whenever his client fell ill, Dr. Bancroft would artificially sicken her clone the same way, and then come up with a cure with his far less "publicly appropriate" methods.

Which is to say that the clone, Ris, was basically tortured regularly. When she wasn't, she was forced to act as an assistant or maid.

Ris was never made aware of her status as a clone. Instead, Dr. Bancroft referred to her exclusively as a "doll," and — rather creepily — even went so far as to dress her up like one, favoring lolita-style clothing for her. As a result, Ris genuinely grew to believe she was subhuman. The doctor's cruel treatment otherwise even made her believe that perhaps she deserved all of the pain she went through.

Even so, the second an escape opportunity presented itself, Ris took it. However, given her lack of experience with the outside world, she was quick to be discovered and dragged back to the laboratory that had become her prison. The doctor did not take her disobedience lightly, either. In an act of pure cruelty, he removed her right eye, claiming it made her match his own disfiguration and that it tied the two together inseparably.

Now, Ris constantly wears a medical-grade eyepatch to cover up the damage done to her, and just carries out her duties day-to-day while keeping her head down in the hopes that it keeps her out of any further trouble. She hasn't completely given up hope of one day escaping and finding a better life, and she still dreams that someone might swoop in and rescue her. But until then, she's just determined to keep herself alive, no matter how miserable an existence it may be.

    Personality:

Ris might initially come across as a somewhat quiet young woman; thoughtful and unfailingly polite. However, under that façade lies a bitter, hateful and distrusting person who's just looking for any excuse she can find to lash back out on a world that's completely failed her.

    Strengths

    • Loyal

Ris may not be the easiest person to win over, but once you have her trust, she will follow you into hell itself if that's what you ask of her. The people Ris grows to love are more important to her than literally anything else in the world, in any world. Anything that needs to be done to keep her people safe is something she will do without question or hesitation, no matter what that means for her own well-being.

Perhaps this is a weakness just as much as it is a strength, but one can't underestimate the strength in bonds.

    • Careful

Ris is not one to jump right into something without a plan. She is, however, someone who will get irritated when the people around her try to do exactly that. Instead, Ris is likely to try to herd the metaphorical cats and sit them down to work out an actual, detailed plan of attack. Ideally, one that will keep people safe. She's already made what she considers to be some pretty grievous errors herself, she isn't willing to let other people waltz right into the same or worse.

    • Realistic

Just as Ris isn't willing to jump in head first, Ris is also not one to be overly optimistic about the nature of her work. It might make her a bit of a downer, but it also means she'll be the one bringing concerns to the table that others might not have thought through, because Ris is always considering the ways that things could go wrong. And, well... even with "unlimited lives," so to speak, the nature of their work in Teyvat is such that there is quite a lot that could go wrong.

    Weaknesses

    • Distrustful

Given Ris' experience with socializing, it's probably not surprising that her immediate reaction to anyone new is Trust No One. The only thing she's ever gotten out of other people before is pain, so why SHOULD she trust?

Unfortunately, she's hard to win over even if someone's trying. She assumes that any kindness shown is a lie, and will reject it outright. It's not until someone who has been kind to her also lashes back out at her for her behavior that she actually trusts their words, because in her mind by breaking the mask of kindness they've proved themselves as being "true."

She's, uh, got some issues to work through.

    • Combative

Not only does Ris not trust anyone, she also goes out of her way to provoke them. Her initial veneer of politeness is very quick to go overboard and get pretty uncomfortable for others, and it's not like she doesn't know this — she's doing it all on purpose, trying to get a reaction. Not only that, but while she pretends to be amiable, her words are often laced with passive-aggressive poison, doing her best to dig at any wounds people make the mistake of wearing on their sleeves.

Not only does she want people to lash out at her to prove themselves, but she's looking for any excuse she can get to be even slightly as awful to others as has been done to her. Sure, all she has is a sharp tongue, but that won't stop her from using it for all she can get.

    • Prone to violence

So remember how, under "strengths," it mentioned how Ris was loyal perhaps to a fault? Yeah. This is the fault.

Under no circumstances should someone attempt to mess with someone Ris has decided she cares for, because while Ris is not particularly strong, she absolutely will not hesitate to literally cut someone if she can find a way to get at them. Most people have some kind of moral code that says that violence is wrong, but not Ris — violence is all she's ever known. Until someone can give her a damn good reason why stabbing people is wrong, they should probably be very, very afraid.

    Greatest Motivations

    • Freedom

Ris has lived her whole life as... well, let's be honest, basically a slave. It should come as no surprise, then, that one of her greatest wishes is to be free of all of that.

It's not that simple, though. While that is something she wants, it's also something she fears. Her escape attempt has made it clear to her that she really has no idea how to get by on her own, and she's been so thoroughly warped by her experiences that she finds a comfort in being ordered around. So while she wants to be free, it's not really pure freedom she wants... it's more like she just wants someone kinder to direct her in life.

...It's a step forward, at least.

    • Love

Ris may not trust easily, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to be accepted by others. She may not trust kindness, but she craves it, and at her core she wants nothing more than for someone to care for and love her.

Platonic or romantic? Doesn't matter. She doesn't even really care if it's real. So long as she can pretend, so long as she can have a facsimile of those warm, soft feelings she thinks are supposed to indicate love, she'll be happy.

    Mundane Interests

    • Sewing

Ris has always been dressed up like her "master's" little doll, and she hates it. Because she's been trained in various houseworking skills, she does know the basics of sewing, and the idea of being able to make her own garments and decide on her own personal style is something fascinating to her.

    • Learning to cook

Ris can cook, but she only really knows how to prepare very bland meals, because that's all Dr. Bancroft would ever eat. How does one use spices? Please enlighten her to this strange and terrifying magic.

    • Reading and learning in general

Having been so isolated, Ris is very intrigued by the world around her, and will absolutely devour any kind of information she can get her hands on. It's an easy way to gain some of the skills and knowledge she fears she lacks to make it in the world on her own, after all!

...Which isn't to say she doesn't like fiction. Please give her all of the trashy romance novels, she loves them.

    New Setting

Wake up in the morning feeling like OH GOD WHERE AM I PANIC PANIC PANIC

Ris will very likely need to go suffer through a genuine panic attack at first, because her immediate thought is that there is no way this can mean anything good. But once she calms down, and she eventually will, she'll tentatively head out into the world and try to talk to others and figure out just what the hell is going on. Between conversations, she'll probably try to deduce what she can on her own, but she definitely isn't afraid of asking for at least basic information.

    Abilities:

    • Skilled in basic household chores and such, if anyone happens to need a maid to help out with stuff

    • Absolutely fantastic at your everyday fetch quests or carrying out any other basic orders given to her

    • Tactical mindset

    • Latent reality-warping powers as a result of modifications made to her in her laboratory prison that will literally never be regained

    • Inventory: Everything that your character has on their person and will bring into the game.

      • The clothes on her back. Somewhat military lolita-esque.

      • A butterfly knife with an elaborate carving of a butterfly into the handles.

      Vision: Hydro
Reason: Ris may not have her eyes set on some kind of "greater cause," but she is unfailingly loyal to those she comes to love. That loyalty is what defines her path forward.
Role: Honestly, I think Ris would work best focusing on debuffs on the enemy. She's going to need to hang towards the back because frankly she's just not physically capable of handling being in the front lines of an RPG party, but she's also just the kind of person who would definitely find her niche in making an enemy's life miserable versus helping out the party.
      Constellation: A butterfly knife.
